Objective To analyze the allele frequencies of 5 short tandem repeat(STR)loci(D12S313,D12S304,D12S1640,D12S1708 and D12S1583)on chromosome 12 among Kashin-Beck disease(KBD)patients and the control population living in the area suffered from KBD.Methods Fifty KBD patient8 and 50 non-KBD patients were chosen in endemic afea of Shaanxi Province,5 STR loci on chromosome 12 were genotyped by the technology of polymerase chain reacfion(PCR)and capillary electmphoresis. The pelymorphisms of STR in these popIllations were analyzed. The allele and genotype frequencies of each STR in the corresponding groups were caleulated and compared. Results In KBD group, the 5 STR loci had 8,6,7,5 and 11 types ofalleles and 17,11,15,8 and 28 genotypes, respectively;while in the control group, the number of aUele types of 5 STR loci were 6,8,6,4 and 10,the number of genotype of those loci were 13,21,14,8 and 23,respectively The allele frequence of D12S304 locus was statiBtically significant between KBD patients and controls(P<0.05),especially for the 319 bp allele(P<0.006 25). Conclusion There is an association between D12S304 locus and KBD.The 319 bp allele might play the key role.

Commensal microorganisms that colonize barrier surfaces of all multicellular organisms exist in harmony with their hosts and have an important effect on both immune and non-immune functions of their hosts. Numerous researches have shown that gastrointestinal microbiota being one of the most important commensal microorganisms plays a critical role in the occurrence, development and treatment of cancer. As-signing causal roles in cancer to specific microbes and microbiotas, unraveling host-microbiota interactions with environmental factors in carcinogenesis, and applying such knowledge to cancer diagnosis and treatment are areas of intensive interest. This review considers how microbes and the microbiota may amplify or miti-gate carcinogenesis, responsiveness to cancer therapeutics, and cancer-associated complications.

Objective To analyze the incidence, clinical feature and late complications, and treatment for diabetes ketoacidosis (DKA) in children with type 1 diabetes mellitus. Methods Ninty children with type 1 diabetes mellitus within 10 years were retrospectively reviewed. The onset situation, clinical feature and long-term complication, and treatment of DKA were analized. Results High morbidity was found in 10 to 16 years old children.DKA was often caused by infection; late complications of diabetes mellitus was resulted from interrupted injection of insulin. Conclusions Emergency treatment for DKA may involve the injection of small dose insulin, correction of the disorder of water and electrolysis and regulation of acid-base.The education of patients and parents about diabetes mellitus and long-term injection of insulin are of importance in preventing the complications.

Objective To investigate the influence of high intensity focused ultrasound(HIFU) ablation therapy on pregnancy outcomes in the patients with adenomyosis(AM).Methods Twenty patients with AM and successful pregnancy after HIFU ablation in Chongqing Haifu Hospital from April 2011 to February 2016 were selected.Their pregnancy and delivery situation were retrospectively analyzed. Results After HIFU treatment, the symptoms of dymenorrhea and menorrhagia were significantly improved compared with before operation(P<0.05).The average fertilization time after HIFU was(8.75 ± 6.23) months, among them 11 cases succeeded in delivery,5 cases had spontaneous abortion,1 case was ectopic pregnancy,1 case took artificial abortion and 2 cases were still in pregnant period all cases had no uterime rupture during pregnant or delivery period.Neonateswere healthy. Conclusion HIFU ablation is an effective mode for treating AM and can be used in the patients with AM and birth demand.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(08):-
Phosphatase and tensin homology deleted on chromosome 10 (PTEN) is a tumor suppressor with dual protein and lipid phosphatase activity.PTEN is involved multisystem diseases and cancer, though the mechanisms of PTEN regulation are far from clear.Recent advances concerning regulation of PTEN including protein-protein interaction, phosphorylation, ubiquitination, oxidation and acetylation will be discussed.

Objective To investigate the changes of serum and bile from victims attacked by infantile hepatitis syndrome(IHS).Methods The constituents from 42 IHS subjects and 16 controls, including total bilirubin(TB),direct bilirubin(DB),alanine aminotransferase(ALT),glutamyltranspeptidase(?-GT),total bile acid(TBA),interleukin 6(IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor ?(TNF-? )both in bile and serum, were assayed by fully-auto chemistry analyzer and ELISA,respectively. The subjects of IHS were divided into cholestasis group and hepatitis group. Results Of IHS group, the values of serumal TB,DB,ALT,?-GT,TBA,IL-6 and TNF-? were higher than those of control(P_a

Objective To investigate ultrasound as a therapy for white lesions of the vulva. Methods Immunohistochemistry and hybridization in situ were used to study changes in VEGF protein and mRNA in the vulva skin of rabbits after ultrasound irradiation. Results After irradiation,VEGF protein and mRNA had increased markedly after 4 and 7 days, but their levels recovered by day 14.Conclusion Ultrasound irradiation causes local edema and hypoxia which enhance production of VEGF.VEGF promotes growth of local microvessels and increases the permeability of the endothelial cells of blood vessels. These changes improve nutrition of the mierovessels and nerve endings and ameliorate the microenvironment for tissue growth. One could speculate that ultrasound irradiation helps rehabilitation and regeneration of pathologic vulva skin.

OBJECTIVETo explore the relationship between angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) gene single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) and premature coronary heart disease (PCHD) patients with blood stasis syndrome (BSS).
METHODSrs4343, rs4293, and rs4267385 were selected at SNP from ACE gene. Allele and genotype were detected. Frequencies of allele and genotype were compared by using time-of-flight mass spectrometry technique (TOF-MS).
RESULTSCompared with the healthy control group, genotype of rs4293 and rs4267385 in ACE gene were similar, but there was statistical difference in polymorphisms and allele frequencies of rs4343 in the I and II group (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). The frequency of G allele was higher in the 3 groups than in the healthy control group (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). The relative risk analysis showed that the risk for PCHD occurrence in G allele carriers at rs4343 (GG +AG) was 3. 6 times the risk in non-G allele carriers (95% CI: 1.224-10.585, P = 0.02). There was also statistical difference in sex, age, TC, and TG after adjusted Logistic regression analysis (OR = 3.994, 95% CI: 1.230-12.974, P = 0.021).
CONCLUSIONThe polymorphism at rs4343 (G2350A) might be one of risk factors for PCHD occurrence, but not a predisposing factor for PCHD patients of BSS.
