Heparanase(HPA) is an endo-beta-D-glucuronidase that degrades heparan sulfate proteoglycans side chains.Recently data suggested a role of HPA in several proteinuric diseases and an increased glomerular basement membrane.The research advanced of the molecular properties,the role in proteinuric diseases and the specific inhibitor of the human HPA were described.

This article reported the treatment of 3 cases of frequent recurrent intractable nephrotic syndrome by XIE Chang-sen. On basis of the therapeutic method of invigorating the spleen and kidney, other methods should be used according to individual difference and special clinic signs and symptoms, such as other invigorating qi and consolidation of superficies, nourishing blood and dispersing stagnated liver qi, warming kidney qi to invigorate yang, replenishing essence and dispersing turbid and so on. And partner treatment is the key for cure.

Human placenta-derived stem cells (hPD-SCs) are a mixed group of stem cells.Stem cell medicine has applications for organ damage or failure through regenerative,anti-apoptotic,anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor properties in addition to cell function recovery.Presently,human placenta mesenchymal stem cells (hPMSCs) have similar characteristics to the differentiation of hepatocyte-like cells by promoting hepatocyte regeneration,anti-hepatocyte apoptosis and anti-liver fibrosis,in vitro or in animal models.To further our investigation,a summary of the origin,sorting and biological properties of hPDSCs along with a narration of hPDSCs for liver disease therapy was written.This leads to a discussion for new ideas to further explore cell treatment for liver disease.

Objective To discuss the effica of central venous catheter drainage in interventional treatment of abdominal surgical complications.Methods The clinical data of 72 cases of abdominal surgical diseases were retrospectively analyzed,the complications included 23 cases of ascites,19 cases of bile leakage,8 cases of pancreatic fistula,7 cases of pancreatic necrosis and 15 cases of abdominal abscess,they all underwent percutaneous central venous catheter drainage under the guidance of ultrasound or CT.Results Central venous catheter was placed in 72 cases successfully in one time,the cathetem were kept for 2 to 37 days,5 discharged cases with catheter underwent regular reexamination in the clinic.3 cases of ascites were replaced for catheter shedding; 17 cases for occlusion recieved catheter irrigation and guidewire dredging;2 cases of pancreatic necrosis and 1 case of peripancreatic abscess were cured by repeated puncture and replacement of large-bore catheter.2 cases of pancreatic necrosis,1 case of pancreatic fistula and 1 case of appendicitis underwent laparotomy finally; 1 case of postcholecystectomy bile leakage underwent endoscopic stent therapy; 1 cases of severe pancreatitis complicated with ARDS was treated in ICU.Conclusion Central venous catheter drainage guided by ultrasound or CT for treatment of abdominal surgical complications was not only safe but also effective,and is worthy of popularization and application.

AIM: To observe the effect of cannabinoid receptor (CB1R) agonist WIN55-212-2 on the expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), c-Fos and protein kinase A beta-catalytic subunit (PKAC-β) in cerebrum cortex after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) in rats. METHODS: The intracerebral hemorrhage model of rat was made by the injection of collagenase Ⅶ, and WIN55-212-2 was intraperitoneally (ip) injected 30 min later. The rats were killed for sampling the brain tissues as specimens 24 h after ICH. The methods of immunohistochemical analysis and Western blotting were adopted to detect the expression of PKAC-β and BDNF. The mRNA expression of PKAC-β, c-Fos and BDNF was determined by RT-PCR. RESULTS: WIN55-212-2 obviously improved some nervous deficit symptoms and increased the expression of BDNF at mRNA and protein levels with upregulating the mRNA expression of c-Fos and downregulating the expression of PKA at mRNA and protein levels in the ipsilateral cerebral cortex. The proteins of PKAC-β, c-Fos and BDNF were expressed on the membrane or nucleus of the neuron or in the cytoplasm of glial cells, respectively. CONCLUSION: The expression of BDNF is induced not only by upregulation of c-Fos, but also by downregulation of PKA in WIN55-212-2 treated rats.

Objective:To observe the characteristics of 24 hour ambulatory electrocardiogram in patients with chronic atrial fibrillation (AF) and optimal ventricular rate control. 　　Methods:Holter monitoring was performed in 122 hospitalized patients,aged 17—85 (mean 51.57±11.94) years,with organic heart disease and chronic AF (New York Heart Association functional class Ⅱ-Ⅲ) in whom the ventricular rate were well-controlled by digoxin.Maximum,minimum and mean ventricular rates,the number of ventricular pauses of ＞1.5 second,and the longest ventricular pauses during the monitoring were recorded.Follow-up data were collected in 72 patients. 　　Results:The mean,fastest and lowest ventricular rates over 24 hours were 78.53±8.12(65—90)，143.79±28.85(90-183) and 51.04±7.52(34—71) bpm,respectively.Bradycardia of less than 50 and 45 bpm occurred in 62 and 32 of the 122 patients,respectively.Ventricular pauses of more than 1.5 and 3.0 seconds were noted in 95 and 14 of the 122 patients,respectively.The longest ventricular pause was 2.38±0.55(4.64—1.60) seconds.During follow-up,there were no worsening in these patients. 　　Conclusion:Ventricular pauses at rest and nocturnal bradycardia were common in patients with chronic atrial fibrillation who had ventricular rates controlled.The dosage of digoxin should not be changed,nor pacemaker insertion is needed.
