1.Research advances of absent in melanoma 2 in the development of cancer
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2017;30(5):542-545
Absent in melanoma 2 (AIM2) is a cytoplasmic protein, which can identify and combine with the cytoplasmic dsDNA to activate caspase-1, and promote the maturation and release of IL-1β and IL-18, or induce pyroptosis.AIM2 belongs to the innate immune system and is the first line of defense to protect the body against the invasion of alien microbes. After identifying the pathogenic microorganisms, the activation of the host signal caused the reaction, which started microorganisms. The activation of the host signal caused the reaction, which started the innate immune and acquired immune response.Research also suggests that AIM2 plays an important role in the occurrence and development of tumor, which was abnormally expressed in many malignant tumors such as prostatic cancer, colorectal cancer, breast cancer, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, oral squamous cell carcinoma, non small cell lung cancer, and AIM2 plays different roles in the progression of different tumor. This article will summarize the research progress of AIM2 in innate immunity and tumor development.
2.Effects of azelaic acid and tretinoin cream in the treatment of facial post-burn hyperpigmentation
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2003;0(09):-
Objective:To investigate the method for treating facial post-burn hyperpigmentation. Methods: Forty-two patients with facial post-burn hyperpigmentation were randomly divided into two groups.Twenty-four subjects applied 15% Azelaic Acid cream combined with 0.025% Tretinoin cream daily to face, and eighteen subjects applied vehicle cream. At base line and six weeks of treatment, each subject's facial hyperpigmentation was assessed by area and colorimetric evaluations. Results:The facial post-burn hyperpigmentation of the Azelaic Acid and Tretinoin-treated subjects were significantly lighter after six weeks of therapy than those of the vehicle-treated subjects(?~(2)=10.94,P
3.Detection of transfusion transmitted virus infection and genotypes in pregnant women
Chinese Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology 2001;0(06):-
Objective To clarify the frequency, the routes of transmission from mother to infant, the correlation factors and distribution of genotypes of transfusion transmitted virus (TTV) infection. Methods Nested polymerase chain reaction (n PCR) was performed to detect TTV DNA and genotypes in serums and breast milks from 160 cases of pregnant women. Results TTV DNA in serum and breast milk was detected in 64 (40 0%) and 60 (37 5%) of 160 cases of pregnant women respectively. The positive rates of TTV DNA from HBV markers (+) and normal groups were 50 0%, 43 1% and 13 6%, 22 7% respectively in serums and breast milk. There were significant difference between the two groups ( P
4.Advances in the pathogenesis and treatment of febrile seizures
International Journal of Pediatrics 2016;43(1):36-40
Febrile seizures ( FS ) is a common convulsive disorder in infants and young children. It is clinically classified into simple febrile seizures(SFS)and complex febrile seizures(CFS). Although intensively investigated,it remains controversial on the etiology,pathogenesis,treatment,long-term prognosis of FS,even the definition itself is still under debate. This paper briefly reviews recent advances on the underlying mechanisms of FS,including involvement of genetic factors, role of ion channels, and immunologic and neurotransmitter dysreg-ulation. We also gathered some new insights on the treatment and prevention of FS,aiming to improve our under-standing of FS.
5.LOCALIZATION AND QUANTITATION OF ESTROGEN RECEPTORS IN SEVERAL TISSUES OF DIFFERENT STRAINS OF MICE BY AUTORADIOGRAPHY
Acta Anatomica Sinica 1953;0(01):-
The distributions of estrogen receptors in preoptic region of hypothalamus, anterior lobe of pituitary gland, mammary gland, thymus and liver of LACA and C57 BL strains of mice were studied by ~3H-estradiol and autoradiography in frozen sections. In both strains of mice, labelling index (LI) was more than 85% in preoptic region of hypothalamus and anterior lobe of pituitary gland, and average number of silver grains (AG) was more than 19. LI and AG of epithelial cells of mammary glands in LACA strain of mice were quite high, 96% and 12 respectively; but in C57BL strain of mice were only 5% and 5 respectively. A few hepatic cells and lymphocytes of thymus were labelled.According to the above results the reason of why mammary carcinoma of female LACA strain of mice and adenoma of pituitary gland of C57BL strain of mice could 15e easily induced by estrogenic hormones (estradiol valerate and hydroxyprogesterone caproate, EP), but no mammary carcinoma was induced in C57BL strain of mice by EP, and this can be partly explained by the presence of a large or few number of estrogen receptors. However, the presence of estrogen receptors was only a prerequisite but not a unique condition. Other factors should be considered, because many more estrogen receptors were present in preoptic region of hypothalamus of both strains of mice and anterior lobe of pituitary gland of LACA strain of mice, but few or no tumors could be induced by EP.
6.Analysis on results of exercise tests of ECG ST-T continuous changes
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;0(02):-
Objective To explore the relationship between the ST-T continuous changes of ECG and the chronic coronary insufficiency. Methods 158 cases of ST-T continuous changes of ECG were treated with selective plate exercise tests and the coronary arteriography. Results 54 cases of plate exercise tests were positive(34.2%),104 cases were negative(65.8%).36 cases were diagnosed as the stenosis of coronary through the coronary arteriography(22.7%).But among 54 positive cases of plate exercise tests,33 cases had the stenosis of coronary, accounting for 91.6% in the cases of stenosis of coronary. Conclusion The quiescent ECG ST-T continuous changes aren't specfic changes of chronic myocardial ischemia. Most of them are caused by other reasons.
7.The present situation and prospects of post-operative adjuvant chemotherapy for non-small cell lung cancer
Cancer Research and Clinic 2000;0(06):-
The post-operative adjuvant chemotherapy(PAC) for non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) appeared on the 1970s of the 20th century. Along with the appearance of each kind of new drugs and new combined therapeutic regimen, PAC for NSCLC is also progressed gradually, and more and more evidence showed that PAC can improve the survival and quality of life of patients with NSCLC. The present situation of PAC for NSCLC and the prospects of its future development were introduced.
8.THE STUDY OF RAT MYOGENIC SATELLITE CELLS DIFFERENTIATION TO MYOBLASTS IN VITRO
Acta Anatomica Sinica 1957;0(04):-
Objective To investigate the whole differentiating process of myogenic satellite cells in vitro, and the expression of N-ACh receptors. Methods Skeletal muscle satellite cells were isolated by trypsin digestion in vitro and purified by preferential attachment method. The cells were observed morphologically and identified by ?-sarcomeric actin, desmin and skeletal myosin antibodies.Contraction of myotubes was observed after adding ACh in the culture medium, N-AChRs in myotube were also be identified by bungarotoxin. Results Cultured satellite cells in vitro differentiated into myoblasts and fused to form myotubes later. These cells were positive by ?-sarcomeric actin, skeletal myosin and desmin antibodies' staining.Adding ACh directly in the medium stimulated the contraction of myotubes. No obvious expression of ACh receptors was observed on the surface of satellite cells.Cluster of receptors aggregated on myotubes from neonatal rats' satellite cells cultured in differentiation media. Conclusion The myotubes differentiated from myogenic satellite cells have the function of contraction.N-ACh receptors were synthesized gradually during the process of differentiation.
