6.Isolation and Screening for Anti-microbial Bacteria from Sponge Dysidea avara
Ying SHEN ; Zhi-Yong LI ;
Microbiology 1992;0(04):-
Sponge Dysidea avara-associated bacteria were isolated by dilution-plate method and the bacterial anti-microbial activities were screened for Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureu, Pseudomonas fluorescens, Bacillus subtilis,Aspergillus niger, Candida albicans,Pacecilomyces variotii by agar diffusion method.At the same time, morphology observations, biochemical and physiological identification of active strains were made. In this paper, 149 strains were isolated from sponge Dysidea avara.20 strains, which amount to 13.4% of the total isolated strains, were found to have anti-microbial activity against fungi and gram-positive bacteria and were identified to be the genus Bacillus sp.
8.New perspectives on medical treatment of gastric cancer.
Chinese Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery 2012;15(2):103-108
Perioperative chemotherapy for gastric cancer has made steady progress with the application of chemotherapeutic agents and conduct of relevant clinical trials. However, palliative chemotherapy has only made marginal progress, and the median survival remains between 8-10 months. An emerging understanding of tumor biology, cellular and molecular mechanisms has revealed novel targets in gastric cancer therapy, such as trastuzumab, bevacizumab, cetuximab, etc. There are still some problems in clinical practice due to the high heterogeneity of gastric cancer including optimization of perioperative chemotherapy regimen, determination of right strategy to personalize chemotherapy or target therapy for advanced gastric cancer. In order to practically achieve individualized therapy, multicenter, prospective, randomized clinical trials according specific matters of gastric cancer should be performed in China. A deeper understanding of the biological characteristics of gastric cancer, and more translational medicine research and multi-disciplinary team collaboration should be carried out to achieve personalized medicine.

International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2014;(11):994-996
Objective To investigate the efficacy of Dan'e-Fukang soft extract for dysmenorrhea associated with endometriosis.Methods A total of 88 patients with dysmenorrhea associated with endometriosis were randomly recruited into a treatment group and a control group. The patients in the control group were treated with gestrinone, while the patients in the treatment group were treated withDan'e-Fukang soft extract. The therapeutic efficacy, improvement of dysmenorrhea and drug safety after the treatment were observed in both groups.Results The total effective rate of in the treatment group(95.45%, 42/44), was apparently higher than that in the control group(81.82%, 36/44)(χ2=4.062,P<0.05). The dysmenorrhea improvement in the treatment group was better than that in the control group and also better than that before treatment in both groups(allP<0.05). The adverse reaction rate in the control group(22.73%,10/44) was higher than that in the treatment group(9.09%, 4/44)(χ2=5.906,P<0.05).ConclusionsDan'e-Fukang soft extract has a definite clinical efficacy for dysmenorrhea associated with endometriosis, can ameliorate the symptoms of dysmenorrhea.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(17):-
Objective To explore the clinical value of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hsCRP) in chronic kidney disease(CKD) and the relationship between hsCRP and the different stages of CKD in children.Methods This study population consisted of patients who was diagnosised as CKD in Beijing Children′s Hospital from Mar.2007 to Feb.2008.The total number of subjects was 62 patients with 35 male and 27 female,the mean age was(8.7?4.0)years old,the course was from 3 months to 10 years.The healthy control group contains 30 healthy children with 16 male and 14 female,the mean age was(7.8?3.2) years old.The serum levels of hsCRP,creatine and ?2-microglobulin(?2-MG) were determined.The glomerular filtration rate(GFR) was caculated.The relationship between serum levels of hsCRP and ?2-MG,blood pressure as well as the renal function in these patients with CKD,stratified according to GFR were evaluated.The relationship between hsCRP and the blood pressure was evaluated.The statistical analysis for the data was done with SPSS 12.0 software.Use the t-test,order and examination and correlation analysis,P
