Multiplicity of signals and diversity of signaling pathways exist during the establishment of mycorrhizal associations together with the regulation of symbiosis-specific genes expression.This mechanism of signal recognition and transduction related with development process of the symbiont was reviewed at the molecular level.

Infection by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is characterized by a progressive depletion of CD4 T lymphocytes, which leads to dysfunction of the immune system. Although a variety of mechanisms may contribute to the gradual T cell decline that occurs in HIV-infected patients, abnormal apoptosis of infected or bystander T lymphocytes is an important event leading to immunodeficiency. The HIV envelope glycoprotein plays a crucial role in HIV associated apoptosis through both death receptor-mediated and mitochondria-dependent pathways. This review summarizes current knowledge of Env-mediated T lymphocyte apoptosis.

Results Pruning-truncating rongeurs are molding once, manipulation convenient, light and safe, anti damage and maintenance free, cost-effective. Conclusion Pruning-truncating rongeurs are highly integrated and portable anti-lost, preparation instrument swift, man-machine coordination, sharp instrument injury prevention, to improve the operation efficiency.

Objective To investigate the expressions of nitric oxide synthase (NOS) protein and mRNA in the lung of rats with hepatopulmonary syndrome. Methods Male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into four groups: sham operation (SO), intrahepatic portal hypertension (IHPH), prehepatic portal hypertension (PHPH) and portasymstimic shunt (PCS). Two weeks after preparation of rat models, the following measurements were performed: arterial blood gas analysis; the concentrations of NO in lungs; in situ hybridization of ecNOS and iNOS mRNA expressions in lung tissue sections with digoxin-labeled ecNOS and iNOS oligonucleotide probes; expressions of ecNOS and iNOS proteins by immunohistochemisty; image and semiquantitative analysis of the expressions of ecNOS, iNOS and their mRNA. Results PaO_ 2 was (73.85?6.51) mmHg in IHPH rats, significantly lower than that in PHPH, PCS and SO rats97.39? 1.33, 95.23?2.22 and (99.05?0.75)mmHg, respectively.The level of lung NO of IHPH was(19.78?5.33)?mol per gram of protein,much higher than that of PHPH, PCS and SO 13.21?3.99,13.89?3.16 and (8.71?1.68)?mol per gram of protein,respectively. In capillary endothelia, positive expressions of ecNOS mRNA and ecNOS protein in IHPH(4.96?0.82,4.11?0.28) were significantly higher than those of PHPH (1.81? 0.39, 1.63?0.18), PCS (1.88?0.53,1.83?0.16)and SO(1.19?0.32,0.98?0.20). Conclusion The expressions of NOS protein and mRNA in the lung of rats with hepatopulmonary syndrome were increased, and the level of lung NO was elevated, which seems to play an important role in the pathogenesis of hepatopulmonary syndrome.

Objective To set up a system in vitro to rapidly recover plasma proteins lost during artificial-liver treatment.Methods The polyprotein precipitation was obtained by all proteins whose isoelectric point pH value were between 7.3 and 5.1,which collided with each other and aggregated using gradient pH co-precipitation(adding 1 mol/L citric acid slowly in the plasma solution to change the pH values gradually from 7.3 to 5.1 in 5 h)combined with salting out(degree of saturation of NaCl is 33%,reacted for 5.5 h at 4℃)or low-temperature ethanol precipitation(40% ethanol, reacted for 5.5 h at -7℃)so that to get rid of toxicants by discarding the supernatant.Results In the range of pH 5.1-7.3,50%(29g/57g)of the total plasma proteins had been recovered by the gradient pH salting out and 41%(25 g/61g)by the gradient pH low-temperature ethanol co-precipi- tation.The protein remained in the supernatant was mostly albumin and its combined bilirubin.The levels of total bilirubin decreased to 0.07% and 0.06% of the original levels by these two methods respectively and the serum HBV DNA level decreased to be undetected(quantitative PCR).Conclu- sions The proteins with close isoelectric point can co-precipitated with the presence of high concen- tration of NaCl or low-temperature ethanol and by changing the pH value gradually.The total protein in the discarded plasma during artificial-liver treatment can be recovered rapidly using the gradient pH coprecipitation.

Objective:To investigate the polymorphism of HLA-DQA1 genes in Jing nationality of Central Vietnam.Methods:Applied PCR-SSP tecnique to determine the polymorphism of the HLA-DQA1 alleles of 105 healthy children and youth,unrelated individuals in Central of Vietnam.Results:10 HLA-DQA1 alleles were detected of which DQA1*0104 were the most common allele with frequency of 21.3% and lowest frequency is DQA1*0601.Conclusion:The results indicate that HLA-DQA1 alleles polymorphism of Jing nationality in Central Vietnam is different from the other Chinese. Objective To describe the clinical and muscle pathological characters of juvenile myositis patients with perifascicular atrophy (PFA).Methods A series of 21 consecutive muscle biopsies with clinically and pathologically confirmed juvenile myositis were studied.All biopsies had PFA of muscle fibers.Results Clinical manifestation:11/21 had typical dermatomyositis rash,9/21 possible dermatomyositis because of atypical rash,1/21 mixed connective tissue disease;9/21 had weakness complaint;9/21with normal creatine kinase (CK) level,4/21 low grade rise,8/21 apparently elevated,10/ 11 definite dermatomyositis patients with normal or low grade level;6/21 combined with interstitial lung disease,2 with EB virus infection,1 with cytomegalo virus infection.Muscle pathology:4 specimens with atypical PFA also had enzyme abnormality in nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide,succinate dehydrogenase and cytochrome c oxidase staining,9/12 cases had membrane attack complement deposition intramuscular capillaries,and they had prominent regional mitochondrial abnormalities,protrude PFA and focal muscle damage.Skin biopsy of one case showed perivasculitis in dermis.Conclusions PFA could be seen in juvenile dermatomyositis and mixed connective tissue disease,and PFA could not increase the CK level.The capillary and intermediate-sized vessels damage may cause chronic ischemia,which could explain the PFA with mitochondrial abnormalities.

ObjectiveTo seek a convenient method for improving the clinical therapeutic effect on knee osteoarthritis.Method One hundred and eighty-six patients were randomly allocated to three groups, 62 cases each. The observation group received needle-sticking warm needling moxibustion plus articular cavity injection of sodium hyaluronate; control group 1, needle-sticking warm needling moxibustion; control group 2, articular cavity injection of sodium hyaluronate. Needle-sticking warm needling moxibustion was given once daily, five treatments followed by two days of rest, seven days as a course, for a total of five courses. Articular cavity injection of sodium hyaluronate was administered once a week, for a total of five injections. The therapeutic effects were compared after treatment.ResultA large part of the symptoms and signs resolved, and the cure rate, the cure and marked efficacy rate and the efficacy rate were 40.3%, 87.1% and 95.2%, respectively, in the observation group. Part of thesymptoms and signs resolved in control groups 1 and 2. The cure rate, the cure and marked efficacy rate and the efficacy rate were 24.2%,51.6%and 80.6%, respectively, in control groups 1 and 21.0%, 54.8% and 82.3%, respectively, in control groups 2. There were statistically significant differences in the cure rate (P<0.05), the cure and marked efficacy rate (P<0.01) and the efficacy rate (P<0.05) among the three groups. The therapeutic effect was significantly better in the observation group than in control groups 1 and 2.Conclusion Needle-sticking warm needling moxibustion plus articular cavity injection of sodium hyaluronate is clinically a better way to treat knee osteoarthritis.

Objective To investigate the changes of inflammatory factors in the blood serum and their relationship with the immune status of patients with active pulmonary tuberculosis(TB).Methods A total of 97 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis were included from Feb 2003 to Oct 2005,57 of active TB,40 in resting period.Another 41 healthy people were used as normal control.ELISA and APAAP method were used to detect the level of TNF-?, IL-1,IL-6 and the changes of CD_(4),CD_(8)and CD_(4)/CD_(8).Results The levels of IL-1,IL-6,TNF-? were(15.3?1.3),(80.5?7.3) and(77.2?9.8) ng/ml in the normal controls,(33.7?3.6),(293.6?30.5) and(190.7?25.2) in the patients of active TB,and(18.2?2.1),(130.7?14.5),(87.5?10.2) ng/ml in the patients at resting period,which were highest in the patients of active TB.The ratio of CD_(4)and CD_(4)/CD_(8) was(32.3?2.9)% and(0.83?0.17) in the patients of active TB,lower than(48.2?4.4)% and(0.83?0.17) of normal controls.Conclusion The increase of inflammatory factors and decrease of immune activity were the clinical characteristic of patients with active pulmonary tuberculosis,which are of inverse relationship.
