Systemic lupus erythematosus is one kind of autoimmune diseases.Immunosuppressants are one of the main drugs for the treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus.In recent years,more scholars found that hematological malignancies had a certain proportion in malignancies when they researched the incidence of malignant tumors in systemic lupus erythematosus.At the same time,they found that it is associated with the use of immunosuppressants.

OBJECTIVE:To find out the regulareity of adverse reactions(ADRs)induced by oral Penicillins(QMSK)and evaluate the safety of QMSK in clinical use.METHODS:Data of ADRs of QMSK,which collected from published articles were retrieved from CHINESE PHARMACEUTICAL ABSTRACT issued between January1995and April2003.According to the given standard,the data were statistically analysed.RESULTS:There were334cases which had24kinds of ADRs of QMSK,of which,121cases were male while213cases were female.There were drug eruption in249cases(74.55%),allergic shock34(10.18%),exfoliative dermatitis9(2.7%)and toxic epidermalnecrolysis7(2.1%),miscellaneous reactions31(8.97%)and5(1.5%)deaths.CONCLUSION:QMSK caused ADRs apparently.QMSK should be used according to penicillins for injections and safe of patients should be ensured in use of QMSK.

Objective:To study the expression of extracellular matrix metalloproteinase (MMP-9) inducer CD147 and MMP-9 protein in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and explore their correlation with invasion, metastasis, and prognosis of HCC.Methods:SP immunohistochemistry was used to evaluate the expression of CD147 and MMP-9 in 83 HCC tissues and 15 normal liver tissues. Results:The positive rate was 73.5% for MMP-9 and 68.7% for CD147, significantly higher than normal tissues (MMP-9: 6.7%;CD147: 0%, P<0.05). Expressions of CD147 and MMP-9 were positively correlated with the tumor size, pTNM stages, differentiation degree, the portal vein cancer embolism, and postoperative recurrence (P<0.05), but not with the patient's age, gender, the serum level of alpha-fetal protein (AFP), and the Child-Pugh grades. Patients with positive expression of CD147 and MMP-9 had shorter survival time than those with negative expression of CD147 and MMP-9. Expression of CD147 was positively related with expression of MMP-9 in HCC tissues.Conclusion:CD147 and MMP-9 had positive correlation with tumor size, pTNM stages, differentiation degree, portal vein cancer embolism, and postoperative recurrence. Detection of the expression of CD147 and MMP-9 may be helpful to make a comprehensive prediction of the prognosis of HCC.

Objective To investigate the effects of nasal tip reduction with inner incision combined with external fixation,namely,to evaluate the formation of bilateral alar groove which is en hanced by external fixation with small splints,after removing interdomal fat pad as well as adjusting alar cartilage to reduce nasal tip.Methods Alar cartilage and interdomal fat pad were exposed via the bilateral nasal vestibular incision to remove fat pad and part of enlarged lateral foot of alar cartilage.After suture of incision,based on the tissue removal,plastic splint was used for external fixation of bilateral nasal tip and alar groove for one week,to enhance the formation of alar groove.Results A total of 143 patients were followed up for more than 6 months after operation.Photographs taken before and after operation were compared,suggesting obviously smaller nasal tip and significant alar groove.Left and right alar groove space was decreased from preoperative (28.23±3.31) mm to post operative (23.72±2.65) mm,and nasal tip alar angle was decreased from (104.02±9.57)°to (87.78± 6.98)°,with statistical significance (P＜0.05).Slightly asymmetric nasal alars were found in 6 patients during follow-up examination,while tiny scars caused by splints (at 0.6 cm from the edge of splints) were found in 1 patient.Conclusions On the basis of nasal tip reduction with inner incision,the method of suture with small splints combined with external fixation is simple,effective and available.

Objective:To evaluate the effectiveness of abdominal acupuncture plus the Confluent Points of the Eight Extraordinary Meridian in treating chronic pharyngitis. Methods:Thirty eligible subjects with chronic pharyngitis were given abdominal acupuncture plus needling Lieque (LU 7) and Zhaohai (KI 6), two out of the Confluent Points of the Eight Extraordinary Meridian, once a day, 10 sessions as a course, and the therapeutic efficacy was evaluated after a treatment course. Results:After a treatment course, of the 30 subjects, 21 were recovered, 5 showed markedly effective, 2 were improved, and 2 failed,the total effective rate was 93.3%. Conclusion:Abdominal acupuncture plus the Confluent Points of the Eight Extraordinary Meridian is effective in treating chronic pharyngitis, worth promoting in clinic.

Forensic science is a cross discipline,involving both the subjects of natural sciences and the humanities & social sciences.It needs not only the application of forensic techniques and other theoretical results of natural sciences,but also be bounded by moral and ethical guidance.This paper discusses ethical issues involved in the teaching of forensic medicine in medical colleges,exploring the relationship between the teaching of forensic medicine and ethics,so as to promote the development of forensic science education.

Objective To study the impact of preprocedure intravenous urography (IVU) on the extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy(ESWL) for proximal ureteral stones.Methods One hundred patients with solitary radiopaque proximal ureteral stones on plain radiographs and no severe hydronephrosis on ultrasonographic examination were allocated randomly to two treatment groups.IVU group (n=50) had IVU before the start of ESWL,whereas patients in control group (n=50) underwent ESWL without IVU.Postop- erative success,the stone-free rates and complications were evaluated in both groups. Results Seven patients in IVU group were excluded from the study. The success rate [95.3%(41/43) in IVU group vs 94.0% (47/50) in control group],stone-free rate [83.7% (36/43)vs 86.0% (43/50)] and complication rate[27.9% (12/43 ) vs 26.0% (13/50)]were similar in two groups (P＞0.05).Conclusions It is not necessary to obtain an IVU for patients who have solitary radiopaque proximal ureteral calculi on plain radiographs with no severe hydronephrosis on uhrasonographie examination before scheduling them for ESWL,thus minimizing the cost,avoiding exposure to contrast medium,and reducing radiation exposure.

Objective To investigate the prevention and mechanism of Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy(ESW) induced renal Injury by pre-treating kidneys with low-energy shock waves(LESW).Methods Forty healthy female domestic rabbits were surgically managed to the mono-nephron models and random divided into 4 groups consisting of ten each: Control,LESW,ESW and ESWL plus LESW pretreated groups.LESW group received 100 LESW,ESW group received 1500 standard ESW,and same dose on ESW group except 100 LESW pretreatment in ESW plus LESW pretreated group.The rabbit kidney tissues were obtained 24 hours after ESW.Activity of superoxide dismutase(SOD) and malondialdehyde(MDA) levels in the renal tissue,and the level of N-acetyl-β-D-glucosaminidase(NAG) in urinary were measured.Renal cell apoptosis was detected by TdT-mediated dUTP Nick End Labelling(TUNEL).Results The MDA,the urinary level of NAG and rate of apoptosis in the LESW groups were reduced(P<0.01),and the activity of SOD increased significantly(P<0.05) as compared with ESW group,and these changes in LESW group had no statistics difference compared with the control group(P>0.05).Conclusions LESW pretreatment protocol substantially limits the renal injury that often caused by ESW.LESW may suppress oxidative stress and antagonize the process of renal cellular apoptosis.
