Objective To observe the effect of combined therapy of external point application and herbal concentrate-granules on patients with asthma (hot wheezing in TCM).Methods 60 patients suffering from onset period of bronchial asthma were randomized to a control group and a treatment group.The control group was given budesonide inhaler and theophylline sustained release tablets.The treatment group was given combined therapy of external point application and herbal concentrate-granules.The course of treatment was 10 days.To observe the value ofFEV1％,ACT scores and TCM syndrome scores etc.Results After treatment,the value of FEV 1％ [treatment group:(82.83 ± 11.35) ％,control group:(83.85 ± 16.72) ％] and ACT [treatment group:(19.86±2.32),control group:(19.66±2.54)] in both groups were markedly increased with statistical significance (P＜0.01); and the difference between the two groups were also significant; TCM syndrome scoring [treatment group:(4.27±3.65),control group:(5.05±4.14)] was notably decreased in both groups compared with the values before the treatment with statistical significance (P＜0.01); but the difference between the two groups was not significant (P＞0.05).Conclusion The combined therapy of external point application and herbal concentrate-granules can treat bronchial asthma in the acute clinical course and improve lung function.

Objective To assess the safety and feasibility of CT-guided percutaneous argon-helium cryoablation in the treatment of adrenal tumors.Methods 1 7 patients with adrenal tumors were treated with CT-guided percutaneous argon-helium cryoablation. Three of these patients were retreated second cryoablation three months later due to the lager tumor diameters.Percutaneous tran-scatheter arterial embolization was performed in four patients because of rich blood supply before cryoablation.Continuous arterial blood pressure monitoring was performed in eight pheochromocytoma patients.Results Technical success was achieved in all pa-tients.There were no serious complications.Eight pheochromocytoma patients experienced a significant increase in systolic blood pressure and diastolic pressure when compared with the basic values (P <0.05).There were no enhancement on enhanced CT and/or up-take on FDG PET-CT in the ablated zones during the follow-up period (3-24months).Conclusion It is safety and efficacy of CT-guided percutaneous argon-helium cryoablation for adrenal tumor.It might be initial treatment of choice for the patients who were not suitable for resection.

The clinical features of 120 severe cases with hand-foot-mouth disease (HFMD) were retrospectively analyzed compared with those of the regular cases. Clinical data showed that the age of mostsevere cases ranged from 1-3 years. Sustained high fever ( 55% ) , hypertension ( 40% ) , fewer rash (73.3%) were important clinical features. Lethargy, somnolence or restlessness (70. 8% ), vomiting (30. 8% ) were early signs of central nervous system ( CNS) ; and the CNS involvement in severe cases was characterized by body trembling or muscle spasm (80% ). High white cell count(75. 8% ) and high blood glucose levels(32. 5% ) were important makers to diagnose the severe HFMD at early stage. There were significant differences in presentation of above features between severe cases and regular cases of HFMD ( P < 0. 01 or P < 0. 05 ) . Early treatment with mannitol, gamma globulin and glucocorticoids were effective, no death was reported and no side effects were found in this case series.

Objective To observe the distribution and the effect of the quantum dots(QDs) on mouse abdominal cavity macrophages.Methods The QDs were co-cultured with mouse abdominal cavity macrophages in vitro.The differentiation and effect of the QDs on macrophage ultrastructures were observed under electronic microscope. Results The QDs were enveloped with unit membrane and internalized in the cytoplasm of the macrophage under transmission electron microscope.And it formed vacuolelike structures in the macrophage.There were many lamellar processes on the surface of the macrophage under scanning electron microscope.Conclusion The QDs can promote macrophage activation,and make its surface projection increased.The QDs were internalized by the macrophage,distributed in the cytoplasm,and formed vacuolelike structures enveloped with unit membrane.

Objective To analyze the clinical efficacy of metacycline and rifampicin in the patients with refractory brucellosis,and to provide evidence for clinical treatment.Methods From February 2013 to February 2016,sixty-five patients diagnosed refractory brucellosis at the Department of Infectious Diseases,Weifang People's Hospital were enrolled in this study.They were randomly divided into two groups,treatment group (33 cases) and control group (32 cases).Patients of treatment group were treated with metacycline joint rifampicin,and control group was treated with doxycycline hyclate,rifampicin and levofloxacin.After treatment for six weeks,the clinical efficacy and adverse reactions were observed and data were analyzed.Results The effective rate in treatment group (96.97％,32/33) was significantly higher than that in control group (75.00％,24/32,x2 =4.86,P ＜ 0.05).The incidence of gastrointestinal reactions in control group (37.50％,12/32) was much higher than that in treatment group (15.15％,5/33,x2 =4.20,P ＜ 0.05).There were no significant differences between the two groups in the incidence of liver damage,skin rash and leukopenia (x2 =0.49,0.00,1.62,P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion The combined treatment metacycline and rifampicin is safe with high efficiency for patients with refractory brucellosis,and is worthy to be promoted.

Two brucellosis patients with rare complications are presented in this report. In case 1, abdominal CT showed two liver abscesses with the maximum diameter>5.0 cm, no puncture and drainage were given. After treatment with anti brucellosis drugs, the abscess lesions disappeared completely. Case 2 had pancytopenia, the platelet count was reduced to 14×10 9/L. After anti brucellosis drug treatment the peripheral blood routine returned to normal. These two cases of rare complications of brucellosis suggests that early identification, diagnosis and treatment can improve the clinical outcomes of the patients.
