The authors retrospectively analysed 67(63 in cervical cord)cases of traumatic SCIWOAR with positive MR abnormalities. It was deduced that the cases of SCIWOAR might be related with (1)those traumatic forces resulting in SCI being not so heavy and severe, (2)the cases orignally with cervical spondylopathy,(3)the limitation of the conventional X-ray examination for SCI,and (4)the cases of children relativly rare in our country and hospital. The ALL hematomas are the pathognomonic signs in the case of the acute cervical SCI within one week. The analysis demonstrated that MR investigation of the traumatic spine could give the clinical activities the correct diagnosis of different degree of SCI and dependable reference.

OBJECTIVE:To optimize the formulation and preparation technology of Propylthiouracil(PTU)solid lipid nanopar-ticles(PTU-SLN)and to evaluate the quality of PLN-SLN. METHODS:PTU-SLN was prepared by emulsion ultrasound dispersing method. The formulation of PTU-SLN was optimized by orthogonal design with the entrapment efficacy and particle size as index, using the amount of lipid material, soybean lecithin and poloxamer 188 and ultrasonic time as factors. The quality of prepared nanoparticles was evaluated with particle size,Zeta potential, entrapment efficiency, stability and in vitro drug release rate as in-dex. RESULTS:The optimal formulation and technology was as follows as lipid material 0.6 g,soybean lecithin 1.0 g,poloxamer 188 0.8 g,ultrasonic time 10 min. The obtained PTU-SLN was round and smooth in appearance and distributed evenly in particle size with average particle size of 93.5 nm,Zeta potential of -30.8 mV and average entrapment efficiency of 74.9%. Prepared nanoparticles had no significant change after placing for 15 d at 4 ℃. Accumulative release rate of PTU-SLN was 56.1% at 4 hour in vitro and reached 98.4% at 24 hour. CONCLUSIONS:PTU-SLN is prepared successfully and reasonable in technology, and can reach sustained-release effects.

Objective To assess efficacy and safety of enhanced rehabilitation program for patients with colorectal cancer surgery. Methods One hundred and ten consecutive patients admitted to general surgery department at Beijing Chaoyang Hospital during October 2007 to October 2009 undergone with fasttrack colorectal cancer surgery and enhanced rehabilitation were prospectively studied, with 117 patients undergone with same colorectal cancer surgery by traditional perioperative treatment during May 2005 to September 2007 as controls. Restoration of their gastrointestinal function, occurrence of complications, fatality and length of hospital stay after surgical operation were observed in the group of enhanced rehabilitation and control group. Results Demographic characteristics, stage classification of illness and surgical operation methods were comparable in both groups. The first day with air discharge from the flux was earlier in enhanced rehabilitation group than that in controls (2. 5 vs. 3. 5 day after surgery, P < 0. 05 ), and the former could tolerate solid food earlier than the latter (6.0 vs. 6.7 days after surgery, P=0.028). Overall morbidity of complications was less in the group with enhanced rehabilitation than that in controls (23.6% vs. 39. 3%,P =0. 011 ) and shorter length of hospital stay was observed in the former than that in the latter (9. 0 vs. 10. 8 days after surgery, P =0. 041 ). There was no difference in mortality, incidence of anastomotic leakage, and infectious and non-infectious complications between the two groups. Conclusions Enhanced rehabilitation program is safe and effective following colorectal cancer surgery to accelerate restoration of gastrointestinal function, reduce complications and shorten hospital stay after colorectal cancer surgery.

Objective To assess the reliability of auto-shimming line width (LW) and water suppression rate (WS), and the correlation between them. Methods GE Signa Excite HD 3.0T system and eight-channel torso phased-array coils with PRESS sequence were performed in 38 volunteers. Liver spectra were collected with TR of 1500 ms, TE of 30 ms, VOI of 2 cm×2 cm×2 cm, NSA of 64 times. Spectroscopy routine auto-shimming pre-scanning program was executed and the values of LW and WS were recorded. Then another spectroscopy routine auto-shimming pre-scanning program was performed repeatedly and 38 groups of data were obtained totally. Intra-class correlation coefficients (ICC), coefficient of variation (CV) and significance test were conduced on 38 groups of LW and WS data. Spearman rank correlation analysis was used to assess the correlation of LW and WS. Results ①The ICC of LW and WS was 0.862 and 0.961 (both P<0.0001), respectively, while the value of CV was 0.20, 0.18, 0.09 and 0.08, respectively. Significant difference was not observed; ②The value of correlation coefficient was -0.659, -0.485 (both P<0.0001), respectively. Conclusion ①The reliability is excellent for in vivo liver 3.0T 1H-MRS and WS appears relatively stable; ②Indexes of LW correlate with WS moderately, and it seems the smaller the value of LW is, the easier to achieve higher WS.
