Objective To investigate the expression and significance of bone morphogenetic protein?2 (BMP?2) and phosphatase and tensin homolog deleted on chromosome ten (PTEN) in incipient, recurrent and malignant salivary gland pleomorphic adenoma??Methods A total of 93 cases of salivary gland pleomorphic adenoma in Kailuan general hospital from 2008 to 2017 were collected, including 54 in incipient group (group A,47 cases in benign group A1,7 cases in malignant group A2),39 cases in recurrent group (group B,26 cases in benign group B1,13 cases in malignant group B2)??The expression of BMP?2 and PTEN were detected by immunohistochemical detection and western blot, the correlation of BMP?2 and PTEN was analyzed by Spearman analysis??Results The immunohistochemical and western blot analysis both showed expression of BMP?2 in recurrent group was significantly higher than that in incipient cases((129??03 ±15??52) vs??(87??88±18??11),t=-8??094,P=0??000),and it was lower in malignant cases than that in benign cases(( 100??24 ± 25??07) vs ( 116??66 ± 26??19), t=2??125, P=0??040)??There was no significant difference in PTEN expression between incipient and recurrent groups (( 89??15 ± 13??92 ) vs??( 96??19 ±28??02),t=1??055,P=0??279),but lower PTEN expression was found in malignant cases than benign cases ((76??06±11??16) vs??(109??28±17??05),t=7??543,P=0??000)??BMP?2 was positively correlated with PTEN expression (r=0??313,P<0??05)??Conclusion BMP?2 is associated with the recurrence of salivary gland pleomorphic adenoma, and both BMP?2 and PTEN are associated with malignant in the salivary gland pleomorphic adenoma??

The purpose of this article is to identify the characteristics and research progress of resting-state EEG microstates in patients with schizophrenia, in order to provide references for clinical research of schizophrenia from the perspective of neuroelectrophysiology. In September 2022, literature was retrieved from CNKI, Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform and PubMed database, and 27 studies meeting the requirements were finally included. Previous studies have demonstrated that patients with schizophrenia show increased presence of microstate class C and decreased presence of microstate class D in resting-state recordings, and the two commonly EEG microstate classes have been suggested as a potential endophenotype for schizophrenia. Although the correlation between psychiatric symptoms and resting-state EEG microstate abnormalities in patients with schizophrenia remains unclear, the altered resting-state EEG microstates in patients before and after treatment have undoubtedly validated its clinical significance.

Objective To explore the effect of tea polyphenols on the growth of human papillomavirus 16 (HPV16) subgenes-immortalized human cervical epithelial cells (H8 cells). Methods Cultured H8 cells were divided into 5 groups to be treated with 0 (control group),6.25,12.5,25 and 50 mg/L tea polyphenols respectively for 24,36,and 48 hours, and then cell counting kit-8 (CCK8)assay was performed to detect cell proliferation. After 24 hours of incubation, flow cytometry was conducted to detect cell apoptosis and cell cycle, and fluorescence microscopy to observe the morphology of apoptotic cells. Results After incubation with tea polyphenols at different concentrations for 24,36 and 48 hours, the proliferation of H8 cells was inhibited, and 12.5 mg/L tea polyphenols could inhibit the relative growth rate of H8 cells in a time-dependent manner.Flow cytometry showed that there was a significant difference in cell apoptosis rate among the 6.25-,12.5-,25-,50-mg/L tea polyphenols groups and the control group (52.62% ± 0.62%,52.22% ± 0.72%,42.52% ± 0.90%,45.96% ± 2.11%,29.96% ± 0.70% respectively,F =272.0,P < 0.05).Moreover,all the tea polyphenol groups showed significantly increased cell apoptosis rate compared with the control group (all P < 0.05).Fluorescence microscopy showed karyopyknosis, nuclear fragmentation and other typical apoptotic morphological changes in H8 cells in tea polyphenols groups. There were significant differences in the percentage of cells in G1,G2 phase and cell proliferation index among the 5 groups (all P < 0.05).Compared with the control group, the 6.25-,12.5-,25-mg/L tea polyphenols groups showed significantly increased percentage of cells in G1 phase (55.96% ± 0.72%,54.12% ± 3.20%,65.30% ± 1.51% respectively, all P < 0.05),but significantly decreased percentage of cells in G2 phase (3.17 ± 1.82%,4.94 ± 1.46%,4.65 ± 4.26% respectively, all P < 0.05) and lower cell proliferation index(0.44 ± 0.01,0.46 ± 0.02,0.36 ± 0.01 respectively, all P < 0.05).Conclusion Tea polyphenols can inhibit the proliferation of H8 cells, induce cell apoptosis, and block cell cycle progression.

Objective:To evaluate the predictive value of anthropometric indicators in predicting cardiovascular risk in the population with metabolic syndrome(MS).Methods:A cross-sectional study was used to analyze the correlation between anthropometric measures and cardiovascular risk in subjects with MS. Cardiometabolic risk was assessed with cardiometabolic risk index(CMRI). Receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve analysis was used to assess the predictive power of anthropometric measures for cardiometabolic risk.Results:(1) The anthropometric measures [body mass index(BMI), waist-hip ratio(WHR), waist-to-height ratio(WtHR), body fat percentage(BFP), visceral fat index(VFI), conicity index(CI), a body shape index(ABSI), body roundness index(BRI), abdominal volume index(AVI)] in the MS group were significantly higher than those in the non-MS group( P<0.05). Moreover, there were significant differences in CMRI score and vascular risk between the two groups( P<0.05). (2) Logistic regression analysis showed that the cardiovascular risk was increased with the increases of BMI, VFI, WHR, WtHR, CI, BRI, and AVI after adjusting for confounding factors in the overall population, the non-MS population, and the MS population( P<0.05). (3) In the ROC analysis, the AUC values of BMI, VFI, and AVI were 0.767, 0.734, and 0.770 in the overall population; 0.844, 0.816, and 0.795 in the non-MS population; 0.701, 0.666, and 0.702 in the MS population, respectively. For the overall population and non-MS population, the optimal cut points of BMI to diagnose high cardiovascular risk were 26.04 kg/m 2 and 24.36 kg/m 2; the optimal cut points of VFI were 10.25 and 9.75; the optimal cut points of AVI were 17.3 cm 2 and 15.53 cm 2, respectively. In the MS population, the optimal cut point as a predictor of high cardiovascular risk in young and middle-aged men with MS was 27.63 kg/m 2, and the optimal cut point of AVI in women was 18.08 cm 2. Conclusion:BMI, VFI, and AVI can be used as predictors of cardiovascular risk in the general population. BMI can be used as a predicator of high cardiovascular risk in young and middle-age men with MS. AVI can be used as a predicator of high cardiovascular risk in women with MS.
