The traditional treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysm was open surgery. In the 1990s,endovascular abdominal aortic aneurysm repair (EVAR) began to emerge. In the early stage, this kind of minimally invasive method was applied in highly selected patient cohort due to the limitation of anatomic conditions of patients, age of patients and shortage of available endovascular devices. The indications for open surgery which were used in this new kind of therapeutic modality also influenced the outcomes. As the technique became mature and the properties of endogarft were developed, endovascular treatment can be used to treat more complex pathologies and the results were improved. However, several challenges were rising, including dealing with complex proximal aneurismal neck,intra-and post-operative endoleak, abdominal aortic aneurysm compromising branched arteries and ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm. To solve these problems, chimney technique, fenestrated stent, branched stent and the sandwich technique had been invented and developed. It is believed that endovascular treatment for abdominal aortic aneurysm could be applied more widely under vascular surgeons' efforts.

Neovascularization is the basis of tumor growth and metastasis. Angiogenesis depends mainly on the regulation of vascular endothelial growth factor and angiogenesis inhibiting factor. The vascular endothelial growth factor and its receptor are the most important and are studied most. The expression of them increased significantly in gastric cancer tissue and serum.. They promote angiogenesis of tumor. They are closely related to the prognosis of patient. The vascular endothelial growth factor and its receptor in the gastric cancer are reviewed in this article.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the molecular mechanism of proliferation and invasion inhibition in oral squamous cell carcinoma transfected with recombinant adenovirus-p53 (Ad-p53).
METHODSTca8113 cell lines were transfected with Ad-p53. Then the effect of p53 overexpression on cancer cells proliferation and invasion was observed. The expression of mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK), serine/threonine kinase (AKT) signaling pathway related proteins, cell cycle and apoptosis related proteins Cyclin D1, P21 and Bcl-2 were detected by Western blotting analysis.
RESULTSAfter transfected with Ad-p53, the proliferation and invasion of Tca8113 cells were significantly inhibited (P < 0.01) and the apoptosis of Tca8113 cells significantly increased (P < 0.001). The results of Western blotting demonstrated that the protein expression of P53 and P21 significantly increased, Cyclin D1 and Bcl-2 protein expression and phosphorylation of AKT protein significantly decreased (P < 0.01).
CONCLUSIONThe AKT signaling pathway may be a key molecular mechanism for proliferation and invasion inhibition of oral squamous cell carcinoma caused by p53. The protein of Cyclin D1, P21 and Bcl-2 may be the downstream targets of AKT signaling pathway. This may provide a new evidence for AKT pathway and downstream targets as a promising therapeutic target for malignant tumors.

ObjectiveTo analyze the endemic situation of schistosomiasis in national surveillance sites of Zhenjiang City from 2015 to 2019, so as to provide the scientific basis for the consolidation of schistosomiasis control achievements and timely treatment of risk factors. MethodsA total of 7 national schistosomiasis surveillance sites were assigned in Zhenjiang City from 2015 to 2019. According to the National Scheme for Schistosomiasis Surveillance (2014 version), Schistosoma japonicum infections were monitored in local residents, floating populations and livestock, and snail habitats were surveyed in Zhenjiang City from 2015 to 2019. The results of schistosomaisis surveillance in Zhenjiang City from 2015 to 2019 were analyzed. Results There were 15 848 and 7 779 person-times of local residents and floating populations receiving serological screening of schistosomiasis in 7 national surveillance sites of Zhenjiang City from 2015 to 2019, and the seroprevalence rates were 0.95% to 1.75% and 0.14% to 0.91% among local residents and floating populations, respectively; however, no egg-positives were identified. A total of 1 885 herd-times of livestock were detected, and no egg-positives were found. During the 5-year period, snail survey was conducted in snail habitats and suspected snail habitats covering 3 333.79 hm2, and there were 108.71 hm2 snail habitats identified, including 50.97 hm2 re-emerging snail habitats. The density of living snails was 0.007 to 0.125 snails/0.1 m2 from 2015 to 2019, which showed a trend for a rise year by year (χ2 = 2 732.626, P < 0.01); however, no S. japonicum infections were detected in snails. Conclusions The endemic situation of schistosomiasis has been maintained at a low level in Zhenjiang City, and schistosomiasis control achievements are consolidated. However, snails are widely distributed in the city, and there are still risk factors associated with schistosomiasis transmission. Further integrated interventions require to be reinforced to timely manage the risk of transmission of schistosomiasis and promote the progress towards elimination of schistosomiasis.
