[Objective]To study the clinical characteristics of osteochondrosis of lumbar posterior vertebral edge(OLPV) and evaluate the efficiency of surgical treatment. [Method]From August 2000 to August 2003,41 cases of OLPV patients were treated, all cases underwent decompression of posterior approach and selective resection of the compressive things.Furthermore,1 case was treated with trans-vertebral pedicle internal fixation and inter-transverse process bone graft because of excessive decompression and preoperative lumbar instability.[Result]Low back and leg pain disappeared or obviously being relieved in all cases, and the results of histological analysis suggested the diagnosis of OLPV in all cases.Forty-one cases were followed from 5 to 8 years, average 6.8 years. No lumbar instability or spondylolisthesis was found in any case.Six cases suffered slight low back pain occasionally without obvious impaired quality of life. The preoperative JOA score was 14.73?2.06,when followed by 3 months, the score changed into 27.14?4.13,there was statistical significance between them(P

Objective To explore the relationship between calcium-sensing receptor's expression and papillary thyroid carcinoma. Methods Seventy cases of postoperative papillary thyroid carcinoma were selected.Immunohistochemical technique was used to detect expression of calcium-sensing receptor in papillary thyroid carcinoma, thyroid benign lesions, and normal thyroid tissue, respectively.SPSS 17.0 statistical analysis was used with non parametric test,P<0.05 indicated significant difference. Results The expression of calcium-sensing receptor in papillary thyroid carcinoma, benign thyroid, and normal thyroid were significantly different (90%,40%,0%,respectively; P < 0.05).The expression of the calcium-sensing receptor in the group of papillary thyroid carcinoma with calcification was significantly higher than that in thyroid cancer without calcification (P < 0.05).Conclusions This study suggests that the calcium-sensing receptor may be associated with papillary thyroid carcinoma and may play a key role in the calcification of the carcinoma.

Objective To study general law of typing according to syndrome differentiation of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Method Based on large sample prospective Clinical Epidemiology investigation, symptoms, conditions of tongue, pulse according to TCM and pulmonary function, quality of life in 616 patients of COPD were collected. By means of Frequencies procedure, factor analysis, cluster analysis and analysis of variance in SPSS11.5, analyze the investigated data and lay difficient types of syndrome of COPD according to TCM. Meanwhile, explored distinct distribution and the relation between types of syndrome and pulmonary function, quality of life in patient5 with COPD. Result There were six types according to syndrome differentiation of COPD, deficiency of lung-qi, pathogenic wind-cold attacking lung, deficiency of pulmonosplenic both vital energy and yin, yin-deficiency of the lung and kidney, stagnation of phlegm and pathogenic fluid-reteneion in lung following splenic asthenia and stagnation of liver-qi, blood stasis-phlegm following deficiency of heart-yang and kidney-yang. There were multiple types of syndrome in COPD patients, the relation was detected between each type of syndrome and lung function, quality of life. Conclusion To draw assistance from clinical epidemiology and mathematical statistics method, the initial standard of differentiation of symptoms and signs to COPD was layed. The regularity of types of syndrome to COPD was detected. The result could be used in diagnosis of COPD, and the method could be communicated in the standardization research of syndrome differentiation.

Objective To observe effect of aerobic exercise combined with inhalation of tiotropium on patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) complicated with pulmonary hypertension. Methods A total of 98 patients with stable COPD and grade Ⅱ or Ⅲ pulmonary function complicated with pulmonary hypertension were recruited. They were divided into an observation group (n =31) and two control groups (n =30 and 37).Patients in control group 1 inhaled shahmette and fluticasone powder, and antibiotics as well as apophlegmatisant were also used in accordance with the demands of the patient's condition.Patients of in control group 2 inhaled tiotropium dry powder and accepted other therapeutic measures equivalent to those of control group1.The patients in the observation group were given aerobic exercise in addition to other therapeutic measures equivalent to those of control group 2.Six-minute walk test distances, pulmonary arterial systolic pressure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease assessment test scores were compared after 6 months of treatment, among the groups and against the baseline values before treatment. Results After 6 months of treatment the average 6-minute walk distance, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease assessment score and pulmonary arterial systolic pressure of the observation group were all significantly better than for either of the control groups. Conclusions Inhaling tiotropium dry powder combined with aerobic exercise can reduce pulmonary artery systolic pressure and improve the symptoms as well as the quality of life for patients with stable COPD complicated by pulmonary hypertension.

BACKGROUND:Peripheral nerve defect due to limb dysfunction has always been the difficulty faced by the medical profession. Ideal materials and processing technology for constructing a tissue engineering scaffold targeting peripheral nerve repair are stil in research stage. OBJECTIVE:To review the research progress in peripheral nerve repair using col agen/silk fibroin nerve conduits. METHODS:In this paper, the first author retrieved the PubMed and CNKI from 2003 to 2016 to search articles regarding methods of constructing artificial nerve scaffolds and selection of raw materials. Data from these articles were col ected, summarized and analyzed. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Forty-six articles were included for final analysis. Col agen and its degradation products trigger no inflammatory response in the host because of high biocompatibility and biodegradability. However, its use is largely limited by its rapid degradation and poor physical performance. Silk fibroin has a high flexibility and biocompatibility, and exhibits a slow degradation in vivo. As a rapid prototyping technique, three-dimensional printing can print various forms of scaffolds within a short time, characterized as high-quality pore structure and large-scale production. Given these, the col agen/silk fibroin nerve conduit prepared using the three-dimensional printing technology can maintain the biocompatibility and even improve the mechanical properties of the raw materials. Until now, more investigations on nerve repair using col agen or silk fibroin have been done, and we have never stopped improving the production process of these scaffolds. Therefore, the col agen/silk fibroin scaffold prepared using the three-dimensional printing technology is expected to become the main candidate for the repair of peripheral nerve defects.
