Objective To investigate the clinical and pathological features of patients with colorectal lesions, which could be the basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment of early colorectal cancer. Methods The clinical ( including gender, age, size, location, morphology, and number ) and pathological characteristics of colorectal lesions were discussed based on the results of colorectal cancer screening in more than 320000 people of 40-74 years in Haining from 2007 to 2012. Results Screening of 286470 cases were completed with the compliance rate of 88. 96%. Colonoscopy was performed in 29069 cases, and 7408 lesions were detected with detection rate of 25. 48%. The detection rate was 32. 62% for men and 19. 48% for women ( P<0. 001 ) , and 18. 30% in 40-49 age group and 35. 06% in 70-74 age group. The older the patients, the higher the detection rate ( P<0. 001) . Among the 7408 lesions, left colonic lesions accounted for 69. 40%, multiple lesions accounted for 37. 23%, lesions with diameter>1. 0 cm accounted for 19. 60%. A total of 205 cases of colorectal cancer ( including 161 early carcinoma and 44 advanced carcinoma) , and 1365 cases of advanced adenoma were found. The early diagnosis rate was 97. 20%. Among the 5030 lesions underwent treatment, adenomatous and carcinomatous types accounted for the largest proportion ( 63. 00%) . The canceration rate of lesions with diameter >1. 5 cm was 34. 08%. Conclusion In high-risk populations, men have a higher detection rate of colorectal lesion than female. The older the age, the higher the detection rate. Adenoma account for the highest proportion among different pathologic types.

Objective:
To investigate the relationship between physical activity (PA) and the risk of incident hypertension among population in rural areas of China.
Methods:
The Community Intervention of Metabolic Syndrome in China & Chinese Family Health Study (CIMIC) was conducted in 2007-2008. Data on PA, smoking, drinking, blood pressure and other variables were obtained at baseline. Then the follow-up study of incident hypertension was performed during 2012-2015. A total of 41 457 participants aged ≥18 years and free from hypertension at baseline were included in the final analyses. PA was calculated as metabolic equivalent (MET) for each participant. Cox proportional hazard models were used to explore the relationship of PA with incident hypertension according to the quartiles of PA.
Results:
A total of 6 780 participants developed hypertension during an average follow up of 5.8 years. The annual incidence of hypertension was 2.80%. Compared to participants in the first quartile of PA,

Objective:To determine the prevalence, epidemiological characteristics, and related factors of syphilis infection among rural childbearing age people to promote medical interventions on pre-pregnancy aristogenesis and syphilis infection in Yunnan province. Methods:The subjects in this study were 18-49-year-old rural couples of childbearing age from the National Free Preconception Health Examination Project in Yunnan province during 2013-2017. The descriptive study was carried out to determine the positive rate of Treponema pallidum specific antibody (TPsAb) and related sociodemographic characteristics. Results:The overall positive rate of TPsAb was 0.38% (8 204/2 160 455) in 2 160 455 rural childbearing age people in Yunnan. The positive rate of TPsAb was 0.39% (4 019/1 040 981) in men, higher than that in women (0.37%,4 185/1 119 474). The positive rate of TPsAb was highest in the age group 45-49 years (0.70%,158/22 511). The positive rate of TP antibody in the minority ethnic groups and Han ethnic groups appeared the same (0.38%). However, the highest positive rate of TPsAb was 0.77% (461/60 153) in Hani ethnic group among all the 17 minority ethnic groups. People with education level of primary education had the highest anti-TP positive rate (0.54%,2 327/431 275). The positive rate of TPsAb appeared the highest in Zhaotong (0.73%, 2 049/281 614) area among all the 16 prefectures of the province. The positive rate of TPsAb in the population from the impoverished regions (0.50%,2 963/590 039) was higher than in other disadvantaged areas (0.34%, 3 115/929 368) or areas with average income (0.33%,2 126/641 048). Significant differences appeared in the positive rate of TPsAb among populations of different ages, ethnic, education level, and economic level groups (trend χ2 test, P<0.001). Conclusions:The positive rate of TP antibody in rural childbearing age people in Yunnan was related to multi factors, including sex, age, ethnic group, education level, area, residence, and local economic situation. The positive rate of TPsAb was higher in men than in women. And people with elder age, lower education level, being Hani or Lahu ethnic group, and Zhaotong areas had higher TPsAb positive rates and higher syphilis infection risk.

Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2019;35(11):962-968
Objective:
Through screening the serum TSH in rural pregestational women, fo find out the high incidence area and high risk population of thyroid disease in Yunnan province, to reduce the probability of infertility and abnormal pregnancy and provide important reference basis for prenatal aristogenesis.
Methods:
The serum TSH level of 30 163 rural pregestational women(20-49 yeas old) which from 16 different areas and 16 different ethnicities of Yunnan province was detected by using TSH3-Ultra (TSH3-UL) reagent on a Siemens centar-XP automatic chemiluminescence apparatus.
Results:
1 797 women were found with abnormal serum TSH level, the abnormal rate was 5.96%. Among them, the proportion of women with decreased TSH was 3.09% and increased TSH was 2.87%, compared with the normal reference range. And there was a significant difference of abnormal serum TSH rate between pregestational women from different areas and ethnicities. Moreover, in the 16 tested areas, the highest abnormal serum TSH rate was 8.90% from Ximeng county, the lowest was 3.60% from Diqing state. However in the 16 tested ethnicities, the highest abnormal serum TSH rate was 9.73% from Lisu ethnic minority and the lowest was 3.60% from Tibetan ethnic minority.
Conclusions
The results inferred that ethnic and regional factors both to some extent affect the prevalence of thyroid disease in pregestational women and it is a small probability event that high occurrence of TSH decreased or increased situation simultaneously happened in one area or one ethnicity.

Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University(Medical Sciences) 2024;45(2):200-205
【Objective】 To explore the causal relationship between education level and pancreatitis risk through Mendelian randomization. 【Methods】 A two-sample Mendelian randomization analysis was conducted using genome-wide association study (GWAS) summary data. The GWAS data for education level and pancreatitis were obtained from SSGAC database and the FinnGen database (version R9). Causal relationship between education level and pancreatitis was explored using the inverse variance weighted (IVW), MR-Egger, and weighted median methods. Heterogeneity and directional pleiotropy were evaluated using Cochran’s Q test and funnel plots. 【Results】 Totally 604 SNPs associated with education level were included. The results provided evidence that there was negative relationship between education level and pancreatitis risk. For acute pancreatitis, OR=0.52, 95% CI: 0.44-0.62, P=2.43×10-14 while for chronic pancreatitis, OR=0.51, 95% CI: 0.41-0.64, P=7.20×10-9. Results from MR-Egger and weighted median analyses obtained the same results. The results of sensitivity analysis indicated that this study did not violate the basic assumptions of Mendelian randomization. 【Conclusion】 There is a causal relationship between education level and the occurrence of pancreatitis. The educational level is negatively correlated with the risk of pancreatitis.
