0 05). The detective rate of (85 7%) CgA in the P53 protein positive group(21 cases) was significantly higher than that of 54 5% the P53 protein negative group(55 cases). Conclusions The positive rate of CgA was increased with corresponding to the lower down of differentiation grades . Very close relationship is found between the expression of P53 protein and the incidences of CgA positive cell. It suggested that the expression of P53 protein might play an important role in neuroendocrine differentiation in ovarian mucinous tumors.

Objective To investigate the expressions of Snail mRNA and E-cad mRNA in invasive ductal carcinoma and their clinical significance. Methods The expression of Snail mRNA and E-cad mRNA were detected on mammary gland hyperplasia (30cases), intraductal breast carcinoma(30cases) and invasive ductal carcinoma (70cases)by in situ hybridization. Results The positive expression rate of Snail mRNA and E-cad mRNA in mammary gland hyperplasia, intraductal breast carcinoma and invasive ductal carcinoma were 23. 3% ,46. 7% ,81.4% and 96. 7% ,66. 7% ,35.7% ,respectively. There was significant difference among them(P < 0. 01). There was difference between Snail mRNA and E-cad mRNA in the same group(P <0. 05). Snail mRNA was not related to age, tumor size or histopathological grade (P >0. 05) ,but it was related to lymphatic metastasis (P <0. 01). E-cad mRNA was not related to age, tumor size(P >0. 05),but it was related to lymphatic metastasis and histopathological grade(P <0. 01). There were positive relationship between Snail mRNA and E-cad mRNA(r = -0. 56, P =0. 00). Conclusions The overexpression of Snail mRNA and low expression of E-cad mRNA were involved in the infiltration and metastasis of breast carcinoma, and they were related to lymphatic metastasis. Therefore, the test of the expression of them were valuable in predicting the prognostic and metastasis of breast carcinoma.

Objective To understand the schistosomiasis endemic situation at a national surveillance site in Gong an Coun-ty Hubei Province. Methods According to The Scheme of Schistosomiasis Surveillance in China the schistosome infection rates of residents and cattle and the Oncomelaniahupensissnail status were investigated yearly in Zhangjiahu Village a nation-al surveillance site in Gong an County from 2004 to 2013. Results From 2004 to 2013 the human schistosome infection rates decreased from 10.66%to 0.58% and the cattle schistosome infection rates from 12.75%to 0. Meanwhile the snail areas and densities reduced and the schistosome infected snails were eliminated. Conclusion The schistosomiasis endemic situa-tion declined dramatically at the surveillance site and schistosomiasis is well-controlled.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2012;14(2):170-172
ObjectiveTo investigate the expression of Twist protein in adenocarcinoma of prostate and clinicopathological features and explore its roles in the carcinogenesis and progression of adenocarcinoma of prostate and its relationship with prognosis.MethodsThe expression of Twist was detected in 70 cases with adenocarcinoma of prostate and 30 cases with side cancer tissue by immunohistochemistry (EnlivionTM).ResultsThe expression of Twist protein in adenocarcinoma of prostate was higher than side cancer tissue. The expression of twist was related to Gleason grade, clinical stage and bony metastasis (P<0.05),but it was not related to the age (P>0.05).The survival rate of Twist protein positive patients was significant lower than negative patients(x2=9.52,P<0.01).ConclusionsTwist might be an important biological marker for malignant transformation and invasion and metastasis adenocarcinoma of prostate, and the up-regulation of the expression of Twist reflects more invasion and poor prognosis.

ObjectiveTo observe the expression of Twist protein, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) mRNA and protein in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma(LSCC) and their relation to clinical pathological characteristics, and aslo debate their effect and clinical application in carcinogenesis, developing of LSCC. MethodMolecular hybridization in situ was carried to detect VEGF mRNA, and immunohistochemistry S-P method was carried to detect the expression of Twist protein and VEGF protein in 80 cases of LSCC, 30 cases of paraneoplastic tissue. ResultsThe expression of Twist protein, VEGF mRNA and protein was related to TNM stage, T stage, thyroid cartilage involvement, lymph node metastasis and distance metastasis (P < 0.05 or < 0.01 ). The expression of Twist protein and VEGF protein was related to differentiated degree (P < 0.01 or < 0.05), however, the expression of VEGF mRNA was not related to differentiated degree (P > 0.05 ). The expression of Twist protein was positively related to the expression of VEGF protein in LSCC (r =0.334, P < 0.01 ) ; and the expression of VEGF mRNA was positive correlation to the expression of VEGF protein (r =0.484,P < 0.01 ). ConclusionsOverexpression of Twist protein and VEGF mRNA and protein might play a joint action in the carcinogenesis, development of LSCC. Combined detection of Twist protein and VEGF mRNA and protein has vital significance in predicting the invasion and metastasis of LSCC, which might be an index to judge the biological behavior of LSCC.

Objective To investigate the expressions of Wnt1 and β-catenin proteins in mammary cancer and its relationship with clinical pathological characteristics, and explore its role in the pathogenesis of breast cancer. Methods Immunoshistochemisty (SP method) was used to detect the expressions of Wnt1 and β-catenin proteins in adjacent tissue of breast cancer (n =15),breast hyperplasia tissues (n =25),and breast in vasive ductal carcinoma (n =80).SPSS 17.0 statistical software was used for analysis, such as count data with x2 test and correlation analysis with Spearman test, with significance level of α =0.05.Results The positive rate of Wnt1 and β-catenin in breast cancer group [62.5% (50/80) and 68.8 (55/80)] was significantly higher than that in hyperplasia group [28% (7/25) and 20% (5/25)]and in borderline group [13.33 (2/15) and 13.33 (2/15)] with a significant difference (P < 0.01).Positive expression of Wnt1 and abnormal expression of β-catenin in breast invasive ductal carcinoma were related to lymphatic metastasis (x2 =5.10,4.87,P < 0.05).Abnormal expression of β-catenin was also related to the histological grading of breast invasive ductal carcinoma (x2 =5.61,P < 0.05).The expressions of Wnt1 and β-catenin proteins in invasive ductal carcinoma showed a positive correlation (r =0.313,P < 0.01).Conclusions The high level expression of Wnt1 protein and the abnormal expression of β-catenin protein might play an important role in breast carcinogenesis, and was related to lymph node metastasis.
