Objective To observe the effect of the therapeutics of warming Yang and inducing diuresis with removing blood stasis and clearing away turbidness in retarding the course of chronic renal failure (CRF). Methods Sixty-five patients with CRF were randomly divided into the treated group (33 cases) and the control group (32 cases). Both groups were treated with low-protein diets,controlling hypertension and symptomatic treatment. And Chinese drugs for warming Yang and inducing diuresis with removing blood stasis and clearing away turbidness were given additionally to the treated group. The time (month) for doubling serum creatinine (SCr) level was taken to evaluate the speed of CRF progression. Results In the treated group,the time for SCr increased from (300.5?99.2) ?mol/L to (602.0?199.6) ?mol/L was (27.6?9.1) months,while in the control group,the time for SCr increased from (296.3?96.8) ?mol/L to (598.8?198.4) ?mol/L was (17.2?5.7) months. Objective To discuss the incidence trends of hyperuricemia in people of different TCM constitutional types by analyzing the constitutional types of patients with hyperuricemia,and to lay a foundation for follow-up study in preventive and therapeutic measures for hyperuricemia.Methods 518 healthy people and 525 people of hyperuricemia were included in our research by identifying their TCM constitutional types by the self testing table of constitutional classification and determination of TCM promulgated by China Association of Chinese Medicine.Hyperuricemia's high-risk constitutional types were analyzed.Results People of dampness-heat constitution (24.57％),phlegm-dampness constitution (22.86％) and static-blood constitution (11.05％) were top 3 groups in occurrence rate of hyperuricemia,the risk ofhyperuricemia in these three groups above were significantly higher than the other constitutional types.On the contrary,the risk of hyperuricemia in the group of the mildly constitution (8.57％) and the group of qi-asthenia constitution (6.29％)were significantly lower than the other groups.Conclusion People of dampness-heat constitution,phlegm-dampness constitution and static-blood constitution were high risk groups of hyperuricemia,which deserved our attention in research of preventive and therapeutic measures for hyperuricemia.

Objective To explore the value of MR diffusion tensor imaging ( DTI) in diagnosis of traumatic Axonal injury ( TAI) .Methods Twenty nine patients with traumatic brain injury ( TBI) and matched 22 control subjects were performed with DTI . Fractional anisotropy ( FA) was calculated from semioval center , corpus callosum , internal capsule and pons of controls and TBI pa-tients.According to Glasgow Score (GCS), TBI patients were divided into mild group (GCS≥13) and moderate-severe group (GCS≤12), each group compared with control group in FA value .The correlation between FA values in different regions and GCS score were analyzed in DTI group .Results FA value of semioval center was decreased in mild DTI group ( P <0.01 ) .FA values of semio-val center , corpus callosum , and internal capsule were decreased in moderate-severe DTI group ( P <0.05 ) .The FA values in semio-val center , corpus callosum , and internal capsule were positively correlated with GCS score in TBI group ( P <0.05 ) .Conclusions DTI is sensitive to detect the traumatic axonal injury??Changes of FA value in ROIs can access the severity of axonal injury ?? which ishelpful for diagnosis earlier and improving prognosis.

This paper aims to establish a method for the determination of sulfur dioxide in sulfur fumigation Chinese herbs. Sample powder and hydrochloric acid solution were isolated by paraffin layer in order to avoid early reactions, with the generation of sulfur dioxide, headspace with airtight needle was used to transfer sulfur dioxide into gas chromatograph, and detected with thermal conductivity detector. The analytical performance was demonstrated by the analysis of 12 herbs, spiked at four concentration levels. In general, the recoveries ranging from 70% to 110%, with relative standard deviations (RSDs) within 15%, were obtained. The limit of detection (LOD) was below 10 mg x kg(-1). Standard addition can be used for low recovery samples. The method is simple, less time-consuming, specific and sensitive. Methods comparison revealed that gas chromatography is better than traditional titration in terms of method operability, accuracy and specificity, showing good application value.

Astract:Objective To assess the anatomical and functional significance of the bladder and urethra in female SUI by dynamic MRI and urodynamic. Methods The clinical data were retrospectively analysed on 60 cases of female stress urinary incontinence from Feb 2011 to Nov 2013. All the women received pelvic floor dynamic MRI and Urodynamic study. Measured the urethral angle,the distance of the H line, M line and the descent of the bladder,cervical,anorectal junction from the PCL in the mid-sagittal dynamic MR image of the pelvic. Pearson 's correlation coefficient was used to examine the association among the distance of the H line,M line and the urethral angle,the descent of the bladder,cervical,anorectal junction from the PCL and the Urodynamic data. Results The distance of the H line,M line were significantly and positively associated with urethral angle and the descent of the bladder,cervical,anorectal junction from the PCL. The distance of the H line,M line were significantly and negatively associated with functional profile length, maximum urethral closure pressure,VLPP and detrusor opening pressure. Conclusion Pelvic floor dynamic MRI combined with Urodynamic study is useful for assessing the anatomical and func-tional significance of the bladder and urethra in female SUI.

AIM: The multi-residues method was used to determine organophosphorus pesticides in traditional Chinese herbal medicines (TCHMs).METHODS: Fifty three pesticides were extracted by high-speed homogenization,and then cleaned sequentially by C_(18) and Carb/NH2 solid phase extraction (SPE) cartridges.The residues were simultaneously identified and quantified by GC-FPD equipped with dual tower,dual column and two FPD detectors.RESULTS: The analytical performance was demonstrated by the analysis of 6 TCHMs samples extracts,spiked at three concentration levels for each pesticide.In general,the recoveries ranging from 70% to 120%,with relative standard deviations (RSDs) less than 15%,were obtained.The limit of detection (LOD) for most of the targeted pesticides tested was below 0.01 mg/kg.CONCLUSION: The method has good extraction efficiency,purification effect and good reproducibility,which can be applied to the determination of organophosphorus pesticide residues in the routine analysis of TCHMs.

AIM:To study a method for the determination of 13 N-methylcarbamate peticides in traditional Chinese herbal medicines(TCHMs).METHODS:Thirteen pesticides were extracted by acetonitrile,and purified through solid phase extraction(SPE)cartridges,then detected by HPLC with post-column derivatization and Fluorescense Detector excited wavelength was 330 nm,emissive wavelength was 465 nm.RESULTS:The analytical performance was demonstrated by the analysis of 6 TCHMs samples' extracts,spiked at three concentration levels for each pesticide.In general,the recoveries ranging from 74.1 to 108.8%,with relative standard deviations(RSDs)better than 15%,were obtained.The limit of quantification(LOD)of 13 pesticides from 0.000 3 to 0.06 mg/kg.CONCLUSION:The method has good extraction efficiency and purification effect,which could be standard of N-methylcarbamate peticides residues in the routine analysis of TCMs.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of point application combined with catgut implantation at acupoint for lung-distention. Methods A total of 122 patients with lung-distension were randomized into a treatment group (62 patients) and a control group (60 patients). The patients in the control group received conventional treatment, and those in the treatment group were additionally treated with point application combined with catgut implantation at acupoint on the basis of the control group for 4 weeks. At 6 months follow-up, pulmonary function including the forced expiratory volume in first second (FEV1) and the percentage of FEV1 to forced vital capacity (FEV1/FVC), the total effective rate and acute exacerbation rate were compared in both groups. Results The total effective rate in the treatment group was significantly higher than that in the control group (98.4%vs. 85.0%;χ2=5.592, P<0.05). There were no significant difference in the acute exacerbation rate between the treatment group and the control group (8.1%vs. 20.0%;χ2=3.358, P>0.05).The FEV1 (treatment group: 71.58% ± 2.23% vs. 59.98% ± 2.19%, t=29.223, P<0.01; control group: 66.99% ± 2.25% vs. 61.03% ± 2.50%, t=13.726, P<0.01) and the FEV1/FVC (treatment group:68.99%± 1.33%vs. 50.77%± 1.45%, t=72.914, P<0.01; control group: 62.67% ± 1.47% vs. 51.89% ± 1.88%, t=34.989, P<0.01) after the treatment were significantly increased compared with before the treatment in both groups and such improvement in the treatment group was greater in the treatment group than that in the control group (FEV1: t=13.726, P<0.01;FEV1/FVC:t=34.989, P<0.01). Conclusion Point application combined with catgut implantation at acupoint can improve lung function and clinical effects in patients with lung-distention.

Objective To investigate the effect and mechanisms of factor fibroblast growth factor inducible 14(Fn14)in the high glucose induced-cardiomyocyte hypertrophy. Method To observe the expression of collagenⅠ, connective tissue growth factor ( CTGF ) , transforming growth factor-β1 ( TGF-β1 ) , and Fn14 in high glucose induced-cardiomyocyte hypertrophy. Fn14 expressions was down-regulated by siRNA interference technique, and then the expressions of collagen Ⅰ, CTGF, and TGF-β1 were observed, and the mechanism was also explored. Results The expression of collagen I, CTGF and TGF-β1 was significantly up-regulated after high glucose induced-cardiomyocyte hypertrophy for 72 h. At the same time, the expression of Fn14 was increased after 72 h-treatment, and reached the peak at concentration of 30 mmol/L high glucose. High glucose could not up-regulated the expression of collagenⅠ, CTGF, and TGF-β1 after siFn14 interference, while the same result was observed in the expression of p-JNK. Conclusion The expressions of collagenⅠ, CTGF, TGF-β1, and Fn14 in cardiomyocyte of neonatal rats were induced by high glucose. While Fn14 expression was inhibited, the expressions of collagenⅠ, CTGF, and TGF-β1 were down-regulated, which seems to be involved with p-JNK signaling pathway.
