Objective To improve the accuracy of diagnosis of the greater omentum blunt trauma(GOBT)by analyzing the MSCT findings and pathological features. Methods The MSCT appearances of 5 1 cases of GOBT with operation and (or)pathological con-firmed were analyzed retrospectively. All patients were underwent MSCT plain scan in whole abdomen. Two experienced radiolo-gists blinded to the clinical diagnosis, reached a diagnosis from the MSCT findings by two ways of plain and plain joint post-process-ing MSCT images. The detection rates of GOBT were compared by two-related-samples Fisher exact probability chi-square test.Re-sults Fifty-one cases of GOBT were distributed over the intestine,in the superior abdominal cavity, the left and the right abdominal cavity, those cases were 27,18,3 and 3 respectively. The MSCT findings of GOBT mainly consist of greater omentum(GO)streak-ing,GO hematoma and fluid around GO.Those detectable rates were 80.3%,68.6%and 90.2 % respectively. The accuracy in di-agnosis of GOBT with MSCT was 94.1%(48/51)in our study. The detection rate of GOBT by two ways was significant (P=0.04).The detection rate of GOBT was increased obviously by the way of plain joint post-processing MSCT images. Conclusion MSCT manifestations of GOBT has some characteristics.A more accurate diagnosis of GOBT could be made according to the MSCT findings by plain joint post-processing MSCT images.

ObjectiveTo prospectively investigate the feasibility of contrast material-enhanced magnetic resonance angiography(CE-MRA)for visualization of the spinal vasculature.MethodsTen volunteers and fifteen patients with thoracic or lumbar disk herniation underwent contrast-enhanced MR angiography of the thoracoabdominal aorta and posterior branches.Examination Was performed with three-dimensional CE-MRA technique and 0.3 mmol/kg of gadolinium contrast agent Was administrated.ResultsIn all examinations, the Adamkiewicz artery, the anterior spinal artery(ASA),and their connections witll the aorta were identified. The Adamkiewicz artery originated between T8 and L3 in all examinations and derived from the left side of the aorta in 80% of all examinations.ASA was able to be observed from T6 to L3.The diameter of Adamkiewicz artery Was 0.6-1.2 mm and ASA was 0.6-1.0 mm.Conclusion CE-MRA Can be used to lOCalize Adamkiewicz artery and provide accurate information for clinical approach.

OBJECTIVE: To explore the association between low flow rate and reperfusion injury during the process of preserving liver by cold machine perfusing perfluorochemical oxygen carder solution. METHODS: Forty-four male adult Wister rats were randomly divided into normal, control, experimental Ⅰ and experimental Ⅱ groups. In the normal group, the removed liver was performed isolated reperfusion guided by Clavien method. In the other 3 groups, the removed liver was infused through the portal vein by the 4-5 ℃ conserved perfluorochemical oxygen carder solution. The infused rate was controlled at 0.4, 0.2, 0.1 mL/(min·g) with 18 hours perfusion, After that, isolated reperfusion was performed. The activity of aspartate aminotransferase, alanine transaminase and endotheiin mass concentration of the effluent was detected at minutes 10, 30, and 60 after reperfusion. The histopathological changes of liver under light and election microscopy were also observed. RESULTS: The activity of aspartate aminotransferase, alanine transaminase and endothelin mass concentration had no remarkable differences between the experimental Ⅰ group and control group (P > 0.05). The differences between the experimental Ⅱ group and control group were remarkable (P < 0.05). The light and electron microscopy showed that the histopathological changes of liver in the control and experimental Ⅰ groups was lightener than experimental Ⅱ group. CONCLUSION: During the process of preserving liver by cold machine perfusion, the rate of 0.1 ml/(min·g) perfluorochemical oxygen carder solution increase the injury of hepatocyte and sinusoidal endothelial cells, which eventually result in severity of reperfusion injury.

Objective To determine whether the incidence of pseudolesions of the liver caused by falciform ligament was correlated with liver function. Methods MRI of 150 consecutive cases were evaluated for the presence of pseudolesions caused by ligament compression. All cases were divided into two groups according to the Child-Pugh classification of liver function: Group I-normal liver function and Grade A(98 cases);Group II-Grades B and C(52 cases). Results The incidence of pseudolesions was 31.63% in groups I and no artifacts in Group II.The incidence of pseudolesions was significantly higher in Group I compared with those in Group II.Conclusion The artifacts in the liver caused by falciform compression on MR contrast-enhanced scan images may be seen more frequently in the patients with well liver function than in those with impaired function.

Objective:To explore effects of Idazoxan(IDA) on changes of neuroglial cells in spinal cords of rats with experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis(EAE).Methods:Rat EAE was induced by immunization with spinal cord homogenates of Geania pigs.EAE clinical manifestations were assessed in terms of the scoring standards.Histological investigation and immunohistochemistry were observed for the inflammatory dedmylinative lesion of CNS and morphology of glial cells. Results:Ida could not decrease the incidence of EAE,but alleviate its clinical manifestation and histological changes. On day 15 after immunization, astrocytes in and around the inflammatory dedmylinative lesion of CNS in EAE rats treated with Ida increased in number and size,on the contrary, microglia decreased in number and size. Conclusion:Ida has protective effects on EAE and its functional mechanism may be concerned with modulation of immunological mechanism of CNS.

Objective To investigate the relationship of T peak-T end (Tp-Te) interval and Tp-Te interval disper-sion (Tp-Ted) in different periods of myocardial ischemia in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI), and to assess the clinical significance of Tp-Te and Tp-Ted for prediction of the ventricular arrhythmia (VA). Methods A total of 80 pa-tients with AMI were enrolled in the study. The sizes and changes of Tp-Te and Tp-Ted were observed during the acute phase and recovery phase in patients. The differences of Tp-Te and Tp-Ted were compared between ventricular tachycardia group (A group), ventricular premature beats group (B group) and non- ventricular arrhythmia group (C group). Results The values of Tp-Te and Tp-Ted were obviously longer in acute period [(125.22±17.70) ms and (54.76±13.26) ms] than those in recovery period[ (113.84±17.37) ms and (42.06±13.95)ms] (P<0.01). The values of Tp-Te and Tp-Ted were signifi-cantly longer in A group[ (134.82±19.56) ms and (62.00±15.19) ms] than those in B [(122.94±15.09) ms and (54.09±10.56) ms ]and C group [(110.09±15.21) ms and (45.27±9.85) ms]. The values were higher in B group than those of C group. Con-clusion The Tp-Te interval and Tp-Ted prolongated in acute phase than those of recovery phase in patients with AMI. Tp-Te interval and Tp-Ted can be used as an important index to predict VA in patients with AMI.
