Alcoholic (70%) extract of Pinellia ternate, Arisaeme yunnanense and Typhonium flagelliforme were analysed by UY-spectrometry. Results showed that each of them had its own characteristics spectrum and was repcatable. This provides a method for the identification of three kinds of drug.It was discovered that the wavelength of maximum absorbance showed aggreement,when P.ternata from different origin were analysed by UV-spectrometry.

5.Study on Methylation of DBC2 in Gastric Cancer

Objective To detect the expression of DBC2 and the methylation status of its gene promoter region in gastric cancer,so as to analyze their correlation. Methods Gastric cancer tissues and adjacent normal tissues were collected from 92 cases as research subjects. The DBC2 mRNA expression and the methylation status of DBC2 gene promoter region in gastric cancer were detected by using RT?PCR and MS?PCR respectively. In addition,the correlation of DBC2 gene methylation status with clinicopathological parameters was analyzed. Results In comparison with adjacent normal tissues,gastric cancer tissues displayed a low expression level of DBC2mRNA and a high methylation level of gene promoter region. Besides, the methylation level was significantly correlated with tumor invasion depth,differentiation and TNM staging(P<0.05). With deep invasion,poor differentiation or higher TNM staging,methylation level of gene promoter region was more significant in gastric cancer tissues. Conclusion High methylation of DBC2 gene promoter region may be a significant contributing factor leading to low DBC2 expression.
6.Performance validation of ABI ViiA 7 Taqman HBV-DNA detecting system

Objective To verify the performance of the ABI ViiA 7 Taqman HBV-DNA detecting system for confirming its sta-bility,accuracy and reliability.Methods According to the evaluation protocols of Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI),the performance of ABI ViiA 7 Taqman HBV-DNA detecting system was assessed in the aspects of precision,accuracy,lin-earity and comparability;the quantitative detection limit validation experiments was performed by diluting specimen until quantita-tive detection limit is lower than the lower limit of detection,and the detection results were compared with the quality target re-quirements and the analysis capability declared by manufacturers.Results The CV in within-run precision of this detection system was 1.485%,1.990% and 0.932% respectively;the total CV was 1.876%,3.361% and 1.891%,respectively;the maximum devia-tion of accuracy was -6.8%;the linear correlation coefficient was 0.998 3;the regression equation was Y =0.974 8X +0.050 7. The linear range was 1.00E2 - 2.00E8;the quantitative detection limit was 100 IU/mL;the comparability of ABIViiA7 and ABI7500:P =0.115,r2 =0.994,the linear regression equation was Y =0.987 2X +0.051 7.Conclusion The ABI ViiA 7 Taqman HBV-DNA detection system has excellent precision,accuracy,sensitivity and linearity and has a good correlation with ABI7500, which can be used for the detection of clinical specimens.
7.Genetic characteristic analysis of echovirus 11

ObjectiveTo study echovirus 11 ( ECHO11 ) sequences genetic variability of the VP1 gene of 82 isolates from 15 countries and 2 provinces in China.MethodsThe VP1 sequences of 82 strains of echovirus 11 were downloaded from the GenBank,and their nucleotide and amino acid diversity were calculated and phylogenetic tree was constructed using Mega software.Results82 echovirus 11 strains were divided into 4 genotypes( A-D),Genotype A is further divided into 7 subgenotyps and genotype D into 7 subgenotyps.The prototype strain Gregory is the sole member of genotype B.Genotype C is divided into 3 genotypes.The sequence diversity between echovirus 11 strains is 21.7%-24.1% (AA diversity:6.0%-12.1% ).ConclusionOur results show that most genotypes contain isolates that have circulated over a wide geographical(several countries from different continents) and temporal range.Several genotypes were also shown to co-circulate in a region during the same period of time,showing that the epidemic of echovirus 11 has typical time and geographical characters.
8.Scientometrics and bibliometrics of biomedical engineering periodicals and papers.

This investigation was made to reveal the current status, research trend and research level of biomedical engineering in Chinese mainland by means of scientometrics and to assess the quality of the four domestic publications by bibliometrics. We identified all articles of four related publications by searching Chinese and foreign databases from 1997 to 2001. All articles collected or cited by these databases were searched and statistically analyzed for finding out the relevant distributions, including databases, years, authors, institutions, subject headings and subheadings. The source of sustentation funds and the related articles were analyzed too. The results showed that two journals were cited by two foreign databases and five Chinese databases simultaneously. The output of Journal of Biomedical Engineering was the highest. Its quantity of original papers cited by EI, CA and the totality of papers sponsored by funds were higher than those of the others, but the quantity and percentage per year of biomedical articles cited by EI were decreased in all. Inland core authors and institutions had come into being in the field of biomedical engineering. Their research topics were mainly concentrated on ten subject headings which included biocompatible materials, computer-assisted signal processing, electrocardiography, computer-assisted image processing, biomechanics, algorithms, electroencephalography, automatic data processing, mechanical stress, hemodynamics, mathematical computing, microcomputers, theoretical models, etc. The main subheadings were concentrated on instrumentation, physiopathology, diagnosis, therapy, ultrasonography, physiology, analysis, surgery, pathology, method, etc.

9.Efficacy of transforaminal endoscopic nerve root decompression in the treatment of degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis

Objective:To evaluate the feasibility of transforaminal endoscopic nerve root decompression for degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis (DLSS).Methods: From July 2011 to April 2016,96 cases of single segment DLSS were involved.All the patients had unilateral lower extremity neurological symptoms,signs,neurogenic intermittent claudication of less than 500 m.Imaging examinations (CT or MRI) or diagnostic nerve root block confirmed single segment degeneration.The mean age was (71.6±5.4) years,male: 55 cases,female: 41 cases.Their intraoperative blood loss,operation time,complications,ambulation time and discharge time were recorded.Leg pain VAS,ODI were used to evaluate the pain and lumbar function of the patients.The clinical efficacy was evaluated by Nakai evaluation.Results: All the patients were performed endoscopic decompression of the lateral recess and nerve root by removing the ventral part of the superior facet joint,the ligamentum flavum and the intervertebral disc.The decompression range was from the inferior edge of the upper pedicle to the superior edge of the lower pedicle.The nerve root was detected to have no compression and the pulse of nerve root returned to normal.The patient got ambulant on the operation day and discharged if he had no discomfort symptom.In the study,68 cases got follow up.The mean follow-up time was 12.1 months (6-63 months).The VAS at dif-ferent follow-up time points was improved relative to the baseline,and the difference was statistically significant (F=491.60,P<0.001).The ODI at different follow-up time points was improved relative to the baseline,and the difference was statistically significant (F=189.91,P<0.001).The excellent and good rates of Nakai evaluation were 79.4% (excellent in 42 cases,good in 12 cases,fair in 10 cases and poor in 4 cases).The mean intraoperative blood loss was (49.29±11.86) mL.The mean operation time was (92.46±21.34) min.The mean ambulation time was 1.8 h.The mean discharge time was 2.3 days.Postoperative epidural hematoma was found in 1 case.Foot drop was found in 1 case.Second stage open surgery was performed in 6 cases.Conclusion: We can apply transforaminal endoscopic decompression for the patients of lumbar spinal stenosis who have unilateral nerve root irritation.Patients with transforaminal endoscopic decompression can get less surgical trauma,quick recovery and obtain good short-term outcome.
10.Safety and Short-term Efficacy of Laparoscopic Assisted Distal Gastrectomy versus Open Distal Gastrectomy in D2 Radical Surgeries for Locally Advanced Distal Gastric Cancer:A Meta-analysis

Objective To conduct a Meta?analysis to compare the safety and short?term efficacy of laparoscopic assisted distal gastrectomy (LADG)and open distal gastrectomy(ODG)in D2 radical surgeries for locally advanced distal gastric cancer. Methods The literatures from Janurary,1990 to August,2014 on the evaluation of safety and short?term efficacy of LADG versus ODG in D2 radical surgeries for locally advanced distal gastric cancer were collected. The quality of the enrolled articles was evaluated and the software Revman 5.2 was adopted to analyze the cura?tive effect. Results Totally 25 articles met the inclusion criteria,including 5 044 patients with treatment of D2 radical surgeries for locally advanced distal gastric cancer. There was no significant difference in the cleaning number of lymph nodes between LADG and ODG in patients undergoing D2 radical surgeries for locally advanced distal gastric cancer. The operation time was longer for LADG than ODG,but the postoperative evaluation in?dexes such as the intraoperative blood loss and the short?term efficacy of LADG were superior to ODG. Conclusion In the treatment of locally ad?vanced distal gastric cancer,there were differences in the safety and short?term efficacy between LADG and ODG,and surgeons should give concern to these differences in clinical practice to select appropriate surgical approaches. Further research is still needed to explore the long?term efficacy.
