Drug toxicology is a required new course for students majoring in pharmacy.The summary of teaching practice of the course,based on its characteristics and actual teaching conditions,will be benificial to establishing teaching models and teaching methods suitable for pharmaceutical specialty.

Objective To discuss the CT diagnosis and differential diagnosis of lumbar posterior marginal intraosseous cartilaginous nodes(LPMN)and the possible pathogenesis.Methods CT manifestations of LPMN in 29 cases hospitalized in the last three years were analysed retrospectively.Results The mainly CT features of LPMN included:(1)Osseous defect with sclerotic margin in the posterior-superior or posterior-inferior margins of centrum;(2)Behind the defect area,bone fragments protrude into the spinal canal,totally dislocated or partially joined with centrum;(3)The dural sac and nerve root compressed accompanied by lumbar disc herniation and spinal canal stenosis.Conclusion LPMN can be definitively diagnosed by CT scan,which provides reliable basis for the treatment project.

[Objective]To analyze the reasons of the missed and misdiagnosis of popliteal artery injury associated with knee dislocations, so that the patients can be diagnosed as early as possible.Amputation can be avoided.[Method]Twelve patients admitted in our hospital 1998～2003 who were misdiagnosed in other hospitals.Five patients had compound injured.The misdiagnosis time was 8～50 hours,meaned 22.6 hours.Five patients had an arteriogram after registes,one of them was recanalizated in radiology department.Other 6 patients were oqerated with saphenous vein bypass grafting,2 patients were anastomosed the end to the end and 3 patients were amputated directly.[Result]Three patients were healed completely,2 patients remained ischemic symptoms,4 patients were operated again with amputation.[Conclusion]There are four reasons for the missed and misdiagnosis:a.The doctors were not familiar with the anatomy of the popliteal artery;b.The knee was automatically reduction in the process of transmitting.There was no deformity when arriving at the hospital;c.The patients were severely injuried and the knee dislocations was ignored.d.The physical examination was not carefully done.

Objective To realize the format conversion from DICOM images to common images with simple and convenient meth-ods. Methods Parsing the DICOM files adopting the object-oriented idea, the DICOM images were changed over on the basis of DCMTK toolkit. Results The VC++ project was built with the DICOM toolkit and the conversion of image formats was achieved. Conclusion This method conveniently achieves the conversion among kinds of image formats. The converted images are completely accord with the practicable standards;moreover, it's greatly convenient for the following processing and manipulations.

[Objective]To introduce a surgical technique used in the treatment of giant cell tumor of bone.[Method]Twenty-one patients were treated in our hospital from 1995 to 2003 for bone tumors of Campanacci Ⅰ~Ⅱ.All patients underwent curettage and "T" shape autologous bone transplantation and phenol.The patients were followed up for 18~24 months.[Result]Eighteen patients were healed on the basis of the duration,all knees presented no function limited.Two patients had local recurrence 8 to 10 months after the treatment.[Conclusion]For the giant cell tumor of bone around the knee,curettage and adjuvant "T" shape autologous bone transplantation is a good alternative method of reconstruction.

Objective To summarize X-ray,CT finding of mediatinal emphysema in the neonate.Methods The X-ray,CT finding of 16 cases with mediatinal emphysema in the neonate were anolysed retrospectively.Results X-ray finding of 16 cases were:around diaphram with a low density band 13 cases,with spinnaker sign 8 cases,with continous diaphram sign 3 cases,there were only little emphysema in anterior-mediatinal 3 cases,accompany with pneumothorax 5 cases.CT imaging of 3 cases was a low density image in diaphram that was CT value was negative(-500～-900Hu).Conclusion Radiography of chest is the first method about diognosis mediatinal emphysema in the neonate,profile chest is more profit to diagnose little emphysema in anterior-mediatinal,CT can diagnose further clear.

Objectlve To study the significance of injury and posthumous changes to the axonal in brain stem and provide evidence to the forensic discrimination of brainstem injury. Methods Select the cases that died of the primary brainstem injury or other disease randomly, All cases were divided into control group and experimental group, control group and experimental group that were autopsied at the postmortem interval less than 24h or 48h, or longer than 24h or 48h. The brainstem tissue were cut and stained by silver; Two hundred four samples were observed in microscope and selected 9～10 widest axonal to measure its diameter, then analysis the data. Results There is significant difference in axonal diameter of midbrain and mudella between control group (not including those cases died of cardiovascular diseases) and experiment group (P0.05). Conclusion The axonal swelling of the brainstem is closely related with the traumatic injury, so axonal swelling is a finding useful for identification of traumatic brainstem lesions, but death from cardiovascular diseases should be excluded.

Objective To explore the effect of medicated serum of Sangleng and Eshu on the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor and vascular endothelial cell proliferation induced by VEGF in vitro. Methods Medicated serum of Sangleng and Eshu was used to culture human umbilical vein endothelial cell (HUVEC-1) induced by VEGF. The morphologic changes of HUVEC-1 were observed with phase contrast microscope, and cell proliferation was detected by MTT method, and the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor protein and mRNA in endothelial cells was detected by Western blotting and RT-PCR. Results The medicated serum of 5.0, 2.5 g?kg~ -1 ?d~ -1 Sangleng and Eshu could cause arrangement disorder in the normal umbilical vein endothelial cells.
