1.Ultrastructural Investigation on Recovery of Local Osteoporosis Following Rugid Plate Removal

Twenty-four New Zealand rabbits were used in the experiment. Four animals served as control and the other 20 were fixed by stainless—steel plates on their left tibia to induce the local osteoporosis. The plates were removed 2 monthes after implantation. Four animals were killed immediately following the plate removal and the others were sacrificed 1, 2, 3 and 4 months later, respectively. The cortical bone beneath the plates were prepared for transmission electron microscopy observation. The results indicated that the recovery process of the local osteoprosis after the rigid plate removal mainly manifested the decrease in bone resorption and the increase in bone formation, which included osteoblastic and osteocytic.
2.Efficacy of celecoxib in the treatment of peri-operative pain of orthopaedic patients

[Objective]To observe the effect and the safety of the COX-2 inhibitor Celecoxib as the analgesia in orthopaedic post-operative patients.[Method]Sixty-four operative patients were selected in all between 2004~2005 in hospital,and divided into two groups randomly.Celecoxib was used as the postoperative analgesia in the experiment group and the "Patient-controlled analgesia" in the control group.The administration of Celecoxib: 8-12 hours before operation generally,just before the abrosia,and 6 hours after operation when patients can take food.drug withdrawal was depended on the complex of the operation and the severety of pain in 3 to 5 days.Dosage:400 mg first time,if a complicated operation,larger dose would be given.VAS score,adverse reaction and the satisfaction of patients were observed.[Result]The effect of Celecoxib is similar as the PCA,with less adverse reaction and more satisfaction.[Conclusion]Celecoxib has a satisfactory effect and safety as a postoperative analgesia,and is suitable to be a peri-operative analgesia of orthopaedic patients.
3.Evaluation of a HBsAg confirmatory reagent kit for clinical applications

Objective To carry out the clinical validation of a domestic HBsAg kit to evaluate its application value. Methods 543 serum samples with HBsAg ELISA values of S/CO ≥ 0. 7 were tested by HBsAg confirmatory test. Specific anti-HBs reagent and control reagent were added separately into duplicate wells of HBsAg ELISA plate, in which test sample was also added. After incubation at 37℃, HBsAg was detected by routine ELISA, and the inhibition rate was calculated using absorbanee (A) result of anti-HBs reagent well and control reagent well according to the provided formula. The sample was confirmed as HBsAg positive when the inhibition rate was≥50%. For HBsAg weakly positive samples, "prolonged confirmatory test" (conjugate reaction time was prolonged to 120 rain) was applied to increase the sensitivity. 39 samples were randomized selected for testing and comparison with Abbott Murex confirmatory test. Results 543 serum samples in total were tested by the confirmatory test. Among the 504 cases which showed positive reaction in screening HBsAg ELISA, 89 ( 17. 7% ) were confirmed as negative. 4.Research Progress and Prospect of Plant Identification Technology of Similar Chinese Herbal Medicine

The study mainly describes the research progress of domestic identification of similar Chinese medicinal plants and the research progress of foreign identification of similar plants, placing emphasis on the principle, merits and defects of new technology and methods including plant biotechnology, spectral identification technology and computer vision technology. With the continuous update of science and technology, the accuracy of identification of similar Chinese herbal medicine plants has been improved, and the rapid progress of identification of Chinese herbal medicine plants has been promoted. The paper mainly elaborated the latest development of plant identification technology of similar Chinese herbal medicines in depth, so as to summarize the principle and characteristics of the new technology and forecast the future prospect.
