BACKGROUND:Streptozotocin-induced diabetic ophthalmopathy is commonly used in animal models, but the pathological changes are local that mainly emphasize on the retina. Little evidence is found about the animal models of the pathology of diabetic ophthalmopathy. OBJECTIVE:To investigate the long-term stability of type 2 diabetic melitus rat models induced by streptozotocin combined with high-fat feeding and to observe the characteristics of eye disease. METHODS: Rats were randomly divided into control group and diabetes group. Control group was given normal feeding, while diabetes group was given intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin combined with high-fat feeding to establish diabetic models. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Compared with the control group, at 1 month after modeling, the fasting blood glucose levels increased, and the insulin sensitivity index decreased in the diabetic group (P < 0.05). Evans blue staining results showed that, at 3 months after modeling, retinal cel lesions exacerbated in the diabetic group; at 5 months after modeling, retinal blood vessels traveled in circuity and disorderly, accompanied by the leakage in the diabetic group, Evans blue content in the retina increased as the time after modeling went by (P < 0.05). Under transmission electron microscopy, at 5 months after modeling, the eye lenses in the diabetes group were flocculent pieces, which were the typical characteristics of cataract. Experimental findings indicate that the rat model of type 2 diabetic melitus induced by streptozotocin combined with high-fat feeding has a long-term stability, and its eye changes are consistent with the characteristics of diabetic ophthalmopathy. Therefore, it is an ideal animal model for diabetic ophthalmopathy.

Objective To analyze the application rules of Jiaotong Xinshentreating principle in modern clinic based on TCM inheritance auxiliary platform.MethodsJiaotong Xinshen treating principle related prescriptions in CNKI and Wanfang databases were analyzed.“Jiaotong Xinshen”and “Xinshen Bujiao” were set as key words to retrieve relevant prescriptions in the databases. TCM inheritance auxiliary platform (V2.5) software was used to establish database. Data mining methods, such as frequency statistics and association rules were used to analyze new prescriptions aboutJiaotong Xinshen treating principle guided medication rules.ResultsTotally186 prescriptions were collected and analyzed. Medicine frequency and association rules among medicines in the prescriptions were confirmed. 12 medical combinations and 6 new prescriptions were mined.ConclusionThe data management platform and data mining methods can be applied in discovering the prescription patterns and medications rules ofJiaotong Xinshen treating principle in clinical application.

Objective To detect the expression of CRF and CRF receptors in colonic mucosa of DSS induced colitis in mice model and to study the effect of CRF and CRF receptors on the development.Methods Six to eight weeks healthy female BALB/c mice were divided into control group and DSS group.Setting up DSS colitis model and colitis was evaluated by the disease activity index(DAI) and histological score.The immunofluorescence technique was used to assay the CRF1 and CRF2 receptors expression in colonic mucosa.The expression of CRF and CRF receptors protein were analyzed by western blotting.Results DSS colitis was set up successfully with significant inflammation in colonic mucosa by the disease activity index (DAI) and histological score.Immunofluorescenee staining evidenced that expression of CRF1 receptor in DSS colitis group has no significant deviation compared to control group(P ＞ 0.05),while the expression of CRF2 receptor was elevated in DSS colitis group compared to control group (P ＜ 0.05).CRF2 receptor was localized in epithelial cells and mononuclear cells in the lamina propria.The levels of CRF and CRF2 receptor protein by western blotting were higher in in DSS colitis group compared to control group (P ＜ 0.05).The level of CRF1 receptor protein in DSS colitis group had no significant deviation compared to control group(P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion The higher expression of CRF and CRF2 in colonic mucosa of DSS colitis may participate in the development of colitis.

Objective Investigation and analysis of intelligence and psychomotor function in children born after implementingt universal salt iodization(USI). Methods Historical serious illness areas of water iodine below 10μg/L were selected as study sites, water iodine in 50 - 100 μg/L in the historical non-endemic areas were as control points in Henan, 2008. Cluster sampling was used to select children aged 6 - 15 years as observing subjects,IQ were measured with CRT- Man Test(CRT-C2). A "Tianjin Medical psychomotor test battery" (JPB) was carry out to test psychomotor function. Results In IDD regions 230 children were surveyed post-USI and 1284 children preUSI. The IQs post and pre USI were 99.3 and 99.9, respectively, and the proportion of IQ ≤69 were 2.17%(6/230) and 2.80%(36/1284), respectively. In non-IDD regions 650 children were surveyed post-USI and 2079children pre-USI. The IQs post and pre USI were 95.3 and 93.8, respectively, and the proportion of IQ ≤ 69 were 2.31%(15/650) and 3.37%(70/2079), respectively. In IDD regions, the abnormal rate of T scores and damage index post USI were 3.6%(2/56), 5.3%(3/56), respectively, significantly lower than pre USI [18.1%(29/160),18.1%(29/160), x2 = 7.54, 6.86, all P ＜ 0.01]. Conclusions USI could increase the IQs of children and decrease the positive rate of JPB, and significantly improve the quality of whole nation and persistently eliminating IDD.

ObjectivePresent treatment in plastic surgery on giant congenital melanocytic nevus has always been a tough practice because it is difficult to achieve balance between effects and costs of treatment.This paper aimed to explore the concrete procedure of tangential excision and dermabrasion in treatment of adult giant congenital melanocytic nevus. Methods Taking into consideration pathological examination results before surgery,diseased regions,psychological expectancy and other factors,we used a humby knife or globe grinding head to remove giant congenital relanocytic nevus by wiping off the surface of it in 10 cases.After operation,the operated area of the skin underwent a process of healing in a moisturized state.In each case,surgical procedure was carried out by 1 2 sta ges,with the interval period ranges from 3 months to 6 months.ResultsOne to 3 years follow-ups showed that among those cases,5 cases obtained good results in which skin color of surgical area turned to normal and pathological examination showed that nevus cells disappeared,4 cases achieved improvement,and 1 case was relapsed.ConclusionsThe two alternative methods for treatment of giant congenital melanocytic nevus,either tangential excision or dermabrasion,with combination of pathological examination results,diseased regions,and psychological expectancy should be taken into consideration,which can remain a maximum balance between effects and costs of treatments.Tangential excision and dermabrasion are effective in some cases of giant congenital nevus where traditional methods do not work,or in order to reduce the cost of body appearance in treatment.Therefore,these two methods deserve to be adopted extensively in clinical therapy.But it still needs further accumulation of experience in practice and longer period of follow-up after operation.

Objective To analyze the antibiotic susceptibility, ESBL genotype of clinical Klebsiella pneumoniae strains isolated from People′s hospital and facilitate the control of resistance spread. Methods Identification and antibiotic susceptibility tests of 1 205 strains from 2001 to 2007 were done by VITEK-2 system.The antibiotic susceptibility results were analyzed by whonet5.3.The ESBL gene was detected by PCR and the Chi-square test was used for statistical analysis.Results The rate of ESBL-producing strains in klebsiella pneumoniae has increased from 2001 to 2007[18.8% (40/213) in 2001, 20.9% (53/253) in 2002, 32.8% (42/128) in 2003, 33.6% (45/137) in 2004, 36.6% (60/164) in 2005, 45.3% (68/150) in 2006 and 45.6% (73/160) in 2007].The SHV gene was the most dominant in ESBL genotypes.There were 83.3% (50/60) ESBL strains in 2005 with SHV gene, 82.3%(56/68) in 2006 and 83.6%(61/73) in 2007.The rated of strains with CTX-M gene were increasing.There were 26.7%(16/60) ESBL strains with CTX-M gene in 2005, 36.7%(25/68) in 2006 and 54.8%(40/73) in 2007.The isolates with more than one type of ESBL gene were increasing.There were 45%(27/60) ESBL strains in 2005 with two types of ESBL gene, and no one had more than two types of ESBL gene in that year.There were 47.9%(35/73) ESBL strains in 2007 with two types of ESBL gene.In 2007 there were 9.6%(7/73) and 2.7%(2/73) ESBL strains with three types and four types of ESBL gene respectively.There was a statistical difference between the antibiotic resistance rates of cefotaxime, ceftriaxone and ceftazidime in SHV-gene-phore strains (χ2=13.22, P＜0.01).The strains with SHV gene were more resistant to cefotaxime than ceftriaxone and ceftazidime.There also was a statistical difference of the antibiotic resistance rate of cefotaxime, ceftriaxone and ceftazidime between strains with TEM gene (χ2=9.91, P＜0.01) and CTX-M gene (χ2=34.84, P＜0.01) respectively.None of the strains with CTX-M gene was sensitive to cefotaxime, and they were more resistant to ceftriaxone than ceftazidime.The strains with TEM gene were more resistant to cefotaxime than ceftriaxone and ceftazidime.There were statistical differences of the antibiotic resistance rate to cefotaxime (χ2=29.65, P＜0.01), ceftriaxone (χ2=20.26, P＜0.01) and ceftazidime (χ2=20.26, P＜0.01) between the strains with SHV gene only and strains with SHV and CTX-M gene concurrently.There were also statistical differences of the antibiotic resistance rates to cefotaxime (χ2=11.01, P＜0.01), ceftriaxone (χ2=9.93, P＜0.01) and ceftazidime (χ2=7.01, P＜0.01) between the strains with SHV gene only and strains with SHV and TEM gene concurrently.The antibiotic resistance rates to cefotaxime (χ2=11.54, P＜0.01), ceftriaxone (χ2=17.58, P＜0.01) and ceftazidime (χ2=14.11, P＜0.01) were statistically different between the strains with SHV gene only and strains with SHV and OXA gene concurrently.The antibiotic resistance rates to ceftazidime (χ2=23.61, P＜0.01) were statistically different between the strains with CTX-M gene only and strains with SHV and CTX-M gene concurrently. There was no statistical difference in antibiotic resistance rates to cefotaxime (χ2=3.55, P＜0.01) and ceftriaxone (χ2=3.35, P＜0.01) between the strains with CTX-M gene only and strains with SHV and CTX-M gene concurrently. The antibiotic resistance rates to ceftazidime (P=0.01) were statistically different between the strains with only TEM gene and strains with SHV and TEM gene concurrently, and there was no statistical difference of the antibiotic resistance rates to cefotaxime (P=0.29) and ceftriaxone (P=0.26) between the strains with TEM gene only and strains with SHV and TEM gene concurrently. ConclusionsThe producing rate of ESBL is increasing year after year and the SHV type of ESBL is the dominant one.Strains with more than one type of ESBL gene are increasing.The antibiotic resistance rates to cefotaxime, ceftriaxone and ceftazidime are statistically different between strains with same ESBL genotype.

Objective To analyze the clinical efficacy of psychological nursing on patients with pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH) combined with obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS).Methods 96 patients with pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH) combined with OSAHS from January 2009 to July 2012 were admitted.They were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group with 48 cases in each group.All patients were given routine drug therapy,based on this,the control group received routine care,and the experimental group was given routine care and psychological nursing.The anxiety and depression score and the treatment effect were compared between the two groups.Results After eight-week treatment,in the experimental group,the scores of SAS,SDS declined obviously and the levels of blood pressure were significantly decreased compared with those in the control group.The difference was statistically significant.Conclusions Psychological nursing for patients with pregnancy-induced hypertension(PIH) combined with OSAHS played a positive role in nursing of these patients,it can remit their anxiety and depression emotion and also can significantly decrease the patients'blood pressure.

ObjectiveTo evaluation application of MSCTA technology in pre-and pro-liver transplantation.MethodsThirty - two patients with liver transplantation were performed with multi-phase CT scanning (MSCT).In hepatic artery and portal phase vascular 3D imaging reconstruction methods include multiple planar reconstruction ( MPR),maximum intensity projection ( MIP),volume rendering (VR).MIP images were measured with these parameters (CA,LGA,CHA,PHA,PV,SV,SMV in diameter).ResultsHepatic arterial vascular imaging scan can show clearly within the scope of the abdominal aorta,gastroduodenal artery,hepatic artery,the left hepatic,celiac trunk,and its branches.Portal vascular imaging clearly showed that the portal vein system.MIP can use accurate measurement of vascular diameter abdominal aorta and portal,superior mesenteric vein,and splenic vein diameter.Control group with liver cirrhosis and liver cancer artery diameter had no significant difference in patients with portal hypertension and the portal vein [ ( 16.7 ± 2.4 ) mm ],mesenteric vein [ ( 10.8 ± 2.1 ) mm ],and splenic vein diameter [(13.1±1.9)mm] compared to the control group[(13.8 ±1.6)mm,(8.2 ±1.7)mm,(8.9±1.1)mm ],the difference was statistically significant ( P ＜ 0.05 ). Conclusions MSCTA can show the liver artery and portal vein system of the non-invasive method of checking,Joint MIP and VR application can provide more clinical liver transplant before the hepatic artery and portal vein of information,liver transplantation arteriovenous anastomoses provides for the monitoring of vascular diameter.
