Objective To explore the protective effect of a small balloon on bifurcation lesions by applying a single stent treatment of coronary bifurcation lesions strategy. Methods Fifty patients with coronary bifurcation lesions were randomly divided into A group and B group( 25 cases for each group ). Patients in A group were treated with the pre-entry protection branch guide wire to complete the main branch balloon pre-dilation,stenting,while in B group were treated with the set aside the branches of a small balloon. The information of main branch balloon pre-dilation,stenting were recorded. The blood flow slowed down,the incidence of side branch occlusion or stent placement,and the incidence of postoperative 24 h troponin I( cTnI) levels were measured. Results Nine cases(36%)in A group occurred lower branch blood flow,which due to 4 cases(16% )with significantly narrow branch stenting,2 cases(8%)with complete occlusion. There were only 2 cases(8%)with decrease branching blood flow in B group,and the difference was significant(P=0. 041, 0. 022). The cases with higher cTnI after 24 h in A group were 11( 39%),significantly higher in group B (3(12 %);P =0. 027 ). Conclusion Compared with the traditional protection guidewire,the approach of setting aside a small balloon to protect important branch can effectively prevent important branch occlusion, branch involvement due to lower incidence of myocardial infarction.

Objective To systematically evaluate the association between protein C and Legg -Calve -Perthes disease.Methods A literature research was performed through PubMed,Embase,Cochrane library,Web of Science,Chinese Biomedical Literature Database(CBM),China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)and Wan-fang Database from inception to February 201 6 on the association between protein C and Legg -Calve -Perthes disease.According to the Newcastle -Ottawa Scale(NOS)criteria,the quality of studies was evaluated and data were extracted.Meta -analysis was performed with Stata 1 1 .0 software.Results A total of 1 4 articles were included.Twelve articles on protein C and Legg -Calve -Perthes disease in the study group and the control group were compared.The results of Meta -analysis showed that there was no significant difference in protein C levels between the study group and the control group[odds radio(OR)=1 .41 ,95% confidence interval(CI)(0.87,2.28),P =0.1 47];five articles on protein C and the white race of Legg -Calve -Perthes disease between the study group and the control group were com-pared,The results of Meta -analysis showed that there was no significant difference in protein C levels between the whiteskin patients′group and the control group[OR =0.61 2,95%CI(1 .83,7.29),P =0.61 2];three articles on pro-tein C and the yellow race of Legg -Calve -Perthes disease between the study group and the control group were com-pared,and the results of Meta -analysis showed that there was no significant difference in protein C levels between the yellow skin patients group and the control group[OR =0.59,95%CI(0.05,6.72),P =0.080].Conclusion There is no significant correlation between protein C and Legg -Calve -Perthes disease.

AIM: To purify and refold the inclusion body of a human anti-HBsAg scFv with a 6?His tag, and to determine the affinity constant of the purified recombinant product.METHODS: Solubilizing in buffers containing urea or guanidine hydrochloride (GuHCl), the inclusion body was purified by IMAC, and then refolded by dialysis against urea or GuHCl, at the same time, Ni 2+ charged chelate column was utilized for in situ refolding. The affinity constant of the refolded scFv, polished by immune-affinity chromatography, was determined by non-competitive ELISA. RESULTS: The refolded scFv with highest specific bioactivity was produced by dialysis against GuHCl. Under this condition, the recovery of target protein reached (61.08?1 45)%. The affinity constant of the polished scFv was confirmed to be(2.30?0.32) ?10 7 L/mol. CONCLUSION: The inclusion body studied in this paper can be refolded efficiently under optimal dialysis condition in vitro . The antigen-binding property of this recombinant scFv is not affected by the purification tag fused to the N terminal of the protein.

Objective To investigate the role of scavenger receptor class B type 1 (SR-B1) signaling pathway in serum amyloid A (SAA)-induced angiogenesis in rheumatoid arthritis (RA).Methods The expression and location of SR-B1 in RA and osteoarthritis (OA) synovial tissues were observed by immunohistochemistry.And SR-B1 expression in the resting human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) was detected by immunoflourescence.Wound repair assessement and tube formation assessement were employed to evaluate the effect on cell migration and tube formation stimulated by SAA and/or anti-SR-B1 antibody.The t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used for statistical analysis.Results ① SR-B1 was significantly highly expressed in RA tissue samples (A=6 788±819) when compared to the minimal expression in OA (A =31 849±6 977,t=3.567,P＜0.01).Positive staining of SR-B1 was observed in RA synovial vascular endothelial cells and perivascular areas.② Strong staining for SR-B1 was observed in all HUVECs tested.③ Significant wound healing induced by SAA (MI=2.50±0.17) was found compared with the untreated controls (MI=1.00±0.09,q=14.38,P＜0.01),and the effects were inhibited in the presence of anti-SR-B1 antibody (MI=1.16±0.14,q=13.02,P＜0.01).④ Compared to the untreated group (branch point number:6.6±0.8),there was an enhanced formation of branched and capillary-hke tube structure followed by SAA stimulation (branch point number:19.0±1.1,q=25.04,P＜0.01) after culturing for 72 h,whereas,tube formation decreased markedly upon pre-treated with anti-SR-B1 antibody (branch point number:7.6±1.3,vs SAA,q =23.32,P＜0.01).Conclusion Our present study suggests that serum amyloid A may induce angiogenesis via SR-B1 signaling pathway in RA.

Objective To explore whether serum amyloid A (SAA) can induce the formation of neutrophil extracellular traps(NETs)in neutrophils in vitro. Methods A stable method for inducing NETs formation in vitro was established, in-cluding isolation of peripheral blood neutrophils, cell culture, and NETs formation and observation. The neutrophils were iso-lated from peripheral blood of healthy volunteers. And cells were cultured in vitro and classified into three groups:negative control (NC) group, SAA group and lipopolysaccharide (LPS) group. Following the distinct stimulation in three groups, NETs formation was observed and its percentage was calculated. The concentration of hinstone (h) 3 in supernatant was detected by ELISA. Results The purification and vitality of isolated neutrophils were both more than 95%. The nuclei of neutrophils lost their shape and spread, NETs formation was found. More NETs formation was found in SAA group than that in NC group (P < 0.05). Moreover, the concentration of h3 in supernatant was significantly higher in SAA group than that in NC group (P<0.05). Conclusion SAA can induce the formation of NETs in vitro.

BackgroundSweep pattern visual evoked potential(SPVEP) acuity,as an objective detective technique of visual function,can be used to measure visual acuity in children and uncooperative adults.Recent studies have shown that the amplitude-logarithm of the visual angle (A-LogVA) function regression method was more accurate than the amplitude-spatial frequency (A-SP)function regression method in evaluating SPVEP acuity.Objective This study was to explore the clinical use of SPVEP acuity in visual developing children and compare the evaluating the SPVEP acuity of children between A-SP function regression method and A-LogVA function regression method.Methods Twenty-six eyes of 26 asthenopic children with age range of 3-12 years and 31 age-matched normal children were enrolled in this study.SPVEP acuity was recorded with GT-2000 NV ( GUOTE MEDICAL APPARATUS LTD,China) using sinusoidally modulated horizontal gratings of 10 different spatial frequencies from 0.99 to 12.89 cpd as stimulus.The responses were averaged and displayed through discrete Fourier transformations (DFT) on the monitor display.SPVEP acuity was estimated by using both the SPVEP A-SP function regression method and the SPVEP A-LogVA function regression method.The LogMAR chart was used to acquire LogMAR visual acuity.ResultsIn the normal group,the correlation coefficient between LogMAR visual acuity and acuity calculated by the A-SP function regression method was 0.600 (P＜0.01).The correlation coefficient between LogMAR visual acuity and acuity calculated by the A-LogVA function regression method was 0.733 ( P＜0.01 ).The ANOVA of the LogMAR acuity and the SPVEP acuity calculated from the A-SP function regression method and A-LogVA function regression method were 113.173 (P＜0.01 ),which indicated that there were significant difference among all of subjects.The differences of the mean values of LogMAR visual acuity and the SPVEP acuity calculated from the A-SP function regression method and A-LogVA function regression method were respectively 0.40±0.02,0.26 ±0.02 and 0.14 ± 0.02.In the amblyopia group,the correlation coefficient between LogMAR visual acuity and acuity calculated by the A-SP function regression method was 0.134 (P =0.515 ).The correlation coefficient between LogMAR visual acuity and acuity calculated by the A-LogVA function regression method was 0.456 ( P＜0.05 ).The ANOVA of the LogMAR acuity and the SPVEP acuity calculated from the A-SP function regression method and A-LogVA function regression method were 3.433 (P＜0.05),indicating that there were significant difference among all of subjects.The differences of the mean values of LogMAR visual acuity and the SPVEP acuity calculated from the A-SP function regression method and A-LogVA function regression method were 0.07±0.05,0.12±0.05 and 0.05 ±0.01 respectively.Conclusions SPVEP can evaluate the visual acuity in children,although SPVEP acuity may overestimate or underestimate acuity in comparison with different LogMAR visual acuities.The amplitude-LogVA function regression method is more accurate in extrapolating SPVEP acuity.

OBJECTIVETo study the effects of local vibration on blood-lipids and whole blood viscosity.

METHODSThe total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), high density lipoprotein (HDL), low density lipoprotein (LDL), whole blood viscosity, apolipoprotein (Apo-), red blood cell (RBC), platelet (PLT), mean corpuscular volume (MCV), serum-protein, postprandial blood sugar (PBS), and serum-protein of experimental and control workers were detected. The difference of the means and abnormal rates of two groups were compared.

RESULTSThe means of TG, TC, HDL in exposed group [(1.01 +/- 0.85), (3.25 +/- 0.61), (1.14 +/- 0.20) mmol/L respectively] were significantly lower than that of control group [(1.89 +/- 1.47), (3.87 +/- 0.82), (1.22 +/- 0.26) mmol/L, respectively, P < 0.01 or P < 0.05]. Apo-A was also decreased [(1.13 +/- 0.29) g/L vs (1.23 +/- 0.16) g/L, P < 0.01]. The mean of whole blood viscosity were significantly increased in exposed group [(2.76 +/- 0.42) mPa.s vs (2.54 +/- 0.33) mPa.s, P < 0.01]. The abnormal rate of Apo-A was significantly higher in exposed group (23.30%) than that in control (4.50%, P < 0.01).

CONCLUSIONLocal vibration may induce decrease in blood lipids, increase in blood viscosity and changes in some other blood parameters.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of recombinant adenovirus-p53(rAdp53) injection combined with radiotherapy and hyperthermia in the treatment of unresectable advanced soft tissue sarcoma.Methods In this retrospective study, we evaluated 76 patients with unresectable advanced primary or recurrent soft tissue sarcoma treated in our hospital from November 2005 to November 2012.These patients received radiotherapy and hyperthermia with rAdp53(p53 group, n=41) or without rAdp53(control group, n=35).rAdp53((1-2)×1012viral particles each time, once a week, 8 times on average) was injected into the tumor or infused into the pelvic cavity.Radiotherapy (2 Gy each time, 5 times a week) was performed for the planning target volume at 56.3±5.3 Gy in the p53 group and 58.1±4.2 Gy in the control group, with no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05).Superficial or deep thermotherapy was employed 8 times on average (twice a week).Clinical features, response rate, time to progression (TTP), overall survival (OS), and adverse events were compared between the two groups (P>0.05).The Kaplan-Meier method was used to calculate OS;the log-rank test was used for survival difference analysis and univariate prognostic analysis;the chi-square test was used for comparison of categorical data.Results At 2 months after treatment, the p53 group had significantly increased response rate (partial response+ complete response+ stable disease)(85% vs.54%, P=0.003) and local control rate (49% vs.23%, P=0.020) as well as prolonged TTP (12 months vs.5 months, P=0.010) and OS (48 months vs.31 months, P=0.049), as compared with the control group.No adverse events caused by radiotherapy and hyperthermia except transient fever were seen in the two groups.Conclusions Concurrent radiotherapy and hyperthermia combined with rAdp53 injection is effective and safe for patients with advanced soft tissue sarcoma.

Objective: To investigate the current status of prevention and control of occupational hazards in a city in 2017, to understand the capability to prevent and control occupational hazards and the level of occupational health supervision and management, and to propose measures to urge employers to assume the main responsibility for the prevention and control of occupational diseases. Methods: An analysis of the main factors influencing the prevention and control of occupational hazards in the city was performed to screen out six semi-quantitative assessment indicators (including the training of the main responsible persons and occupational health management personnel in companies) and four qualitative assessment indicators (including the coverage of supervision and inspection of occupational hazards performed by the district safety supervision department) , which could be used to measure the prevention and control effects of regional occupational hazards. Each indicator was scored. The typical investigation method was used to do data review and on-site inspection of 170 companies, 17 district-level occupational health supervision departments, and 16 sub-district (township) occupational health supervision departments in the city from October to December, 2017. The prevention and control of occupational diseases in each district was scored, and the completion rate and completion situation of each indicator in the city were analyzed. Results: The mean score of prevention and control of occupational hazards in the city was 84.9. The scores of two districts were relatively high, being 88.9 and 88.7, respectively; the scores of 9 (52.9%) districts were higher than 85. The pass rate of training for the main responsible persons and occupational health management personnel in companies in the city was 95.9%, the pass rate of occupational health training for workers was 84.7%, the pass rate of occupational health examination for workers was 96.5%, the pass rate for the inspection of occupational hazardous factors in workplaces was 95.3%, the pass rate for notifying occupational hazards in workplaces is 95.9%, and the pass rate for applying the warning signs of occupational hazards in workplaces was 76.5%. Conclusion The awareness of the importance of prevention and control of occupational hazards in all districts of the city has been increased, but the effectiveness of occupational health training for workers needs to be strengthened. The supply and demand of occupational health technical services are still not matched, and the ways and methods of occupational health supervision and inspection need to be improved.
