Objective:To study of immuno-intervention with prostaglandin E2(PGE_2) on tumor necrsis factor(TNF-?),interleukin 10(IL-10),SOD and NO in rats attacked by vibrio vulnificus.Methods:27 normal rats and 27 hepatopathy rats,they were divided into Vv attacked group,ofloxacin treatment group and combined PGE_2 with ofloxacin protect group(n=9).Results:The result of cytokines detection showed that serum IL-10 and SOD level of combined PGE_2 with ofloxacin protect group was significantly higher than that of ofloxacin treatment group,however,TNF-? and NO level of PGE_2 immuno-protect group were significantly lower than those of ofloxacin treatment group(P

Cis-3, 4-dichloro -a-chloro-cinnamoyl-sec.-butylamine (8601), a new compound of cinnamamides, has potent antagonistic effect on experimental epilepsy. 8601 is significantly more effective against MES in mice than Antiepilepsirine. It has also been found effective against convulsion induced by icv. injection of sodium glu-tamate and zinc sulfate.The mechanisms of anti-MES of 8601 is related to content of 5 HT in the whole brain of mice. Increased cerebral 5 HT with L-tyrosine potentiated the effect of anti-MES of 8601,while the opposite was obtained using reserpine or pCPA which decreased the concentration of cerebral 5 HT. The increase of cerebral 5 HT is correlated with the effect of anti-MES of 8601 with a correlation coefficient of 0.926 ( P

BACKGROUND: Preactivation of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCS) is one of the most important eerly events and facilitating factor for the formation of atherosclerosis. Tanshinone is a lipolytic component extracted from traditional Chinese medicine of denshen, it has definite anti-atherosclerotic effect.OBJECTTVE: To analyze whether PBMCS preactivation existed at early essential hypertension, and investigate the effects of tanshinone on inhibiting the PBMCS activation cultured in vitro by detecting the adhesion and excretory activities of PBMCS.DESTGN: A case-controlled analysis.SETTING: Department of Emergency and Research Room of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Tongji Hospital affiliated to Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology.PARTTCTPANTS: Thirty patients with untreated essential hypertension or with withdrawal from antihypertensives for at least 2 weeks were selected from the Department of Cardiology, Tongji Hospital affiliated to Tongji Medical College,Huazhong University of Science and Technology from January 2003 to October 2004, including 16 males and 14 females, aged (44.6±7.4) years, body mass index of (26.2±4.5) kg/m2, average disease course of (38.5±16.9) months.Informed contents were obtained from all the subjects. Their hypertension was grade Ⅰ-Ⅱ according to the diagnostic standards for hypertension by WHO/ISH in 1999. Secondary hypertension, organic heart disease, hyperglyceridemia,diabetes mellitus, liver and kidney dysfunction, heart, brain, kidney, vessel and other target damaged induced by infection and other clinical conditions and hypertension were excluded by history, physical examination and assistant examination.Another 30 healthy physical examinees with normal blood pressure were enrolled as the normal control group. Human umbilical vein endothelial cells (Species Reserving Center of Wuhan University); Tanshinone injection (Yaan Sanjiu Pharmaceutical, Co., Ltd., batch number: 020724);METHODS: ① Venous blood samples (4.0-5.0 mL) were drawn from all the subjects, and mononuclear cells were separated by means of Ficoll-Hypaque density gradient centrifugation and plastic adhesion, then incubated at 37 ℃ for 40-60 minutes, and the adherent cells were the PBMCS. These cells (viability ＞ 95%, Trypan blue staining) had the characteristics of mononuclear cells (Wright staining). The newly separated adherent PBMCS were resuspended, and then inoculated to the 24-well plate (4×107 L-1). There were 3 wells for each sample: the first was for basic excretion, the second for angiotensin Ⅱ stimulation, and the third for tanshinone pretreatment. The PBMCS were co-incubated with tanshinone for 30 minutes before angiotensin Ⅱ stimulation. The terminal concentration was 1×10-8 mol/L and 1×10-8 g/L for angiotensin Ⅱ andtanshinone respectively, and that of PBMCS was 2×107 L-1. The cells were cultured in the incubator (CO2 of 0.05 in volume fraction) at 37 ℃ for 24 hours, then the supernatant and cell ingredients were collected respectively. ② The PBMCS suspension was preparedl, and the cellular density was adjusted to 2.5×109 L-1. The human umbilical vein endothelial cells were cultured on the 24-well plate with M199 medium containing fetal bovine serum (0.1 in volume fraction), and spread to monolayer after the cells entered the logarithm phase. Each well was added with PBMCS suspension (100 μL), incubated at 37 ℃ for 2 and 4 hours respectively. The unadherent cells were removed, and the adherent ones were counted after fixed with 20 g/L glutaral, 40 visual sights were counted for each well under high power microscope, and the average value was used. ③ The double-antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunoabsorbent assay (ELISA) and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) were used to determine the concentrations of tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) in supernatant of PBMCS, and the expressions of their mRNA.MATN OUTCOME MEASURES: ① Changes of PBMCS adhesion activity; ② Concentrations of cytokines and their mRNA expressions in supernatant of PBMCS.RESULTS: ① At 2 and 4 hours of inoculation, the numbers of PBMCS adhered to endothelial cells under basic conditions were similar between the hypertension group and normal control group (t =1.153-1.577, P ＞ 0.05); After angiotensin Ⅱ stimulation, the adherent cells were obviously more in the hypertension group than in the normal control group (t =3.842-4.536, P ＜ 0.01); The numbers of the adherent cells were decreased to the same levels after tanshinone pretreatment (t =0.855-1.702, P ＞ 0.05). ②Under basic state, the concentrations of TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-6 in supernatant were all lower in both groups (t =0.981-1.829, P ＞ 0.05); The concentrations of the cytokines after angiotensin Ⅱ stimulation were obviously higher in the hypertension group than in the normal control group (t = 2.442, 5.075, P ＜ 0.01,0.01, 0.05); The concentrations of the cytokines after tanshinone pretreatment were all decreased to different extent, and there were no significant differences (t =1.227-1.940, P ＞ 0.05). Similar changes were observed in the mRNA expressions of the cytokines in PBMCS in the two groups.CONCLUSTON: ① The number of PBMCS adhered to endothelial cells, the concentrations and mRNA expressions of the cytokines under basic state in patients with essential hypertension were at the levels of normal subjects, and they were significantly increased after angiotensin Ⅱ stimulation, suggesting that the PBMCS were at preactivation at early essential hypertension. ② Tanshinone could decrease the adhesion and excretory activities of PBMCS in patients with essential hypertension to the normal levels, it is proved that tanshinone can inhibit the further activation of the preactivated PBMCS, and can prevent the occurrence of atherosclerosis to some extent.

It is very necessary to apply case-teaching method to Emergency Medicine in Universities of TCM. To establish the case-teaching system,we ourselves have written teaching materials,trained teachers, and designed all sorts of the medical records. Moreover, we have deployed other methods and principles to put this teaching into practice, used clinical skill practising as a essential supplement of teaching effect. Comparing with the traditional teaching method, it is clear that case-teaching method could make students' learning initiative and positivity improved significantly, their test scores promoted obviously. Thus, carrying out case-teaching method in Emergency Medicine could advance students capability of acquisition of knowledge and their clinical thinking .

Objective To observe the changes of S-opsin expression in guinea pigs with flickering light-induced and form-deprived myopia,and to investigate the causes.Methods Thirty-six two-week-old healthy guinea pigs were randomly assigned to three groups:Flickering light-induced myopia group(FLM group,n=13),form-deprived myopia group(FDM group,n=12) and control group(n=11).For the FLM group,the cages were equipped with astroboscope(0.5 Hz),and LEDs were used as the light source.The right eyes of the guinea pigs in FDM group wore translucent goggles which did not interfere with the normal activity of their eyelids.No special treatment was given to the guinea pigs in the normal groups.All measurements were performed prior to and then after 6 weeks of treatment.The first measurement day was recorded as 0 week.Biological parameters,such as the refraction,axial length(AL) and corneal radius of curvature(CRC),were measured and fundus photography is performed before and after 6 weeks of the treatment.The expression of S-opsin was observed and analyzed by immunofluorescence technique and image analysis system.Results Before the treatment,no significant difference was found in three biometric measurements including refraction,AL and CRC between the groups at 0 week(P>0.05).After the treatment for 6 weeks,significant differences were found in changes of both the biometric measurements between the FLM and control groups,and between the FDM and control groups(P<0.05).However,no significant differences were found in the changes of CRC among the FLM,FDM and control groups(P=0.358),indicating that myopia models were established successfully.No significant differences were found in the changes of values of refraction,AL and CRC between the FLM and FDM groups(P>0.05).Expression of S-opsin differed in the FLM and FDM groups.For the mean gray values of green channel,compared with the control group respectively,significant differences were found in both the FLM and FDM group(P<0.001).The mean gray value of green channel of the FLM group was higher,however the mean gray value of green channel of the FDM group was lower.Conclusions Both guinea pig models of flickering light-induced and form-deprived myopia can be established successfully.S-opsin is increased in the flickering light-induced myopia model and decreased in the form-deprived myopia model,indicating that the mechanisms of formation of these two experimental myopia models may be different.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the clinical distribution characteristics, drug resistance trends and the carrying of antiseptic resistance gene of Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection in children in Suzhou, in order to provide theoretical basis for the prevention and treatment of Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection in children. Methods The clinical distribution characteristics and drug resistance trends of Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated from Children's Hospital of Soochow University from 2016 to 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. Forthermore, 101 strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa were randomly selected to detect the expression of 9 antiseptic resistance genes (qacEΔ1-sul1, qacE, qacEΔ1, qacG, sugE(p), sugE©, emrE, ydgE, ydgF) by polymerase chain reaction. Results Pseudomonas aeruginosa in Soochow University Children's Hospital was mainly isolated from respiratory specimen (47.83%), pus (28.60%) and urine (11.72%); the main departments were intensive care unit(21.45%), general surgery department (15.71%) and respiratory department (12.31%). Patients were mainly aged from 1 month to 1 year old and older than 6 years old (34.31% and 25.38%). The top three drug resistance rates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa were imipenem (11.25%), aztreonam (9.26%) and meropenem (8.02%). Among the 853 strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, the drug-resistant strains were mainly from the intensive care unit (58/183), hematology department (33/91), neonatology department (31/96), and there were 57 strains of multi-drug-resistant strains with the detection rate of 6.68%. There were 98 strains (11.49%) of Carbapenem resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and the annual detection rates were 22.06%, 8.40%, 3.60%, 5.67%, 9.85% and 17.20%, respectively. Among the 9 antiseptic resistance genes, the carrying rate of ydgF, sugE© and qacE was 98.02%, 94.06% and 0 respectively. Conclusion Pseudomonas aeruginosa has high resistance to some drugs, so attention should be paid to rational drug use. The carriage rates of of two antiseptic resistance genes exceeded 90%, indicating the need to strengthen research on the mechanism of antiseptic resistance research and rational use of disinfectants

Objective:To investigate the combining therapy which not only have cured effect but also can uphold and improve the NPC patient′s immunity function after radiotherrapy and chemotherapy.Method:90 cases randomly divided into 3 groups ①Local group (local injected with IL-2 +radiotherapy+chemotherapy);②General group(ivdrip with IL-2+radiotherapy+chemotherapy);③convention group(radiotherapy+chemotherapy).Checked and observed the immunity function around the immunotherapy and after the radiotherapy and chemotherapy.Result:Cellular immunity of 3 groups are lower and humoral immunity are hypetuntion than normal person.After treated with IL-2 the cellular immunity improves but there′s no great change of the humoral immunity. The immune status of the immune groups have not obvious change than before radiotherapy,at the same time,the cellular immunity of the convention group cut down and the humoral immunity doesn′t change obviously.Conclusion:①It has some effect to uphold and improve the NPC patient′s immunity function to treat with small dosage of IL-2 before radiotherapy and chemotherapy,general treatment is better than local injection;②The three therapies have not great influence on the patient′s humoral immunity.

Traditional Chinese medical case records in the previous dynasties are vital to the development of traditional Chinese medical theory, but the tremendous amount of data are far beyond a person's ability for comprehension. According to information science, traditional Chinese medical case record data are complicated and intricate experiential data. New technology and methods are needed to solve this difficulty. Knowledge discovery technology plays an important role in analyzing data and uncovering important data patterns, and it will be a useful method in processing such data. This paper briefly presents the methods of knowledge discovery in traditional Chinese medical case record study, and puts forward some necessary academic methods.
