Objective:To establish an HPLC method for the fingerprint determination of glycyrrhizae dispensing granules. Meth-ods:Twelve samples were analyzed by HPLC with glycyrrhizic acid as the reference. The analysis was performed on a Waters SunFire C18 column(250 mm × 4. 6 mm,5 μm) with the mobile phase A of acetonitrile and the mobile phase B of 0. 1% phosphoric acid solu-tion with gradient elution. The flow rate was 1. 0 ml·min-1 , the detection wavelength was 237nm, and the column temperature was 30℃. Results:By analyzing the fingerprint, 21 peaks existed including the peak of liquiritin and glycyrrhizic acid. The similarity of the samples was more than 0. 97. Conclusion:The established HPLC fingerprint of glycyrrhizae dispensing granules is dependable and simple. The method can provide scientific basis for the quality control of glycyrrhizae dispensing granules.

Objective:To establish the HPLC fingerprint for Polygonum cuspidatum dispensing granules. Methods:The HPLC fin-gerprint of 12 batches of Polygonum cuspidatum from different manufacturers were determined. The analysis was performed on a Waters SunFire C18 column(250 mm × 4. 6 mm,5μm)with acetonitrile as the mobile phase A and 0. 05% phosphoric acid solution as the mo-bile phase B with gradient elution. The flow rate was 1. 0 ml·min-1 ,the detection wavelength was 230 nm,the column temperature was 30℃,and the injection volume was 10μl. Results:The results were calculated according to“similarity evaluation system for tradi-tional Chinese medicine chromatographic fingerprint”nominated by CFDA combined with the analysis of the HPLC fingerprints. Totally 14 common peaks with similarity above 0. 98 were found in the HPLC fingerprint of Polygonum cuspidatum, including the peak respec-tively for polydatin and emodin. Conclusion:The method can provide more information for the quality control of Polygonum cuspidatum dispensing granules.

Objective To explore the efficacy and safety of Polyethylene glycol 3350 plus electrolyte bulk on the schizophrenia patients with constipation induced by clozapine. Methods 150 cases of schizophrenia inpatient and outpatient with constipation induced by clozapine treatment were selected and randoly dirided into the group of polyethylene glycol, lactulose group and non-intervention group with 50 patients in each group and each patient or their families signed the informed consent. The treatment groups took orally with Polyethyle ne glycol 3350 plus electrolyte 13. 7grams,2 times per day and lactulose oral solution 10ml,3 times per day respectively. The non-intervention group was not given a regular basis laxatives, but with cathartic therapy in demand. The period of experiment was 6 weeks including 2 weeks baseline observation period and 4 weeks treatment. Assessment criteria: an overall assessment of all symptoms of patients and each patient's constipation and safety parameters were assessed. Results After treatment for 4 weeks, the total effective rate in three groups was 90.0% ,68.0% ,38.0% (all P <0.05). The difference was statistically significant. The normal shape of stool rate was 84.0% ,60.0% ,28.0%. PEG group were better than the other 2 groups at baseline in the first defecation time, the average times of bowel movements per week, theutilization of laxatives during treatment, while symptom score improvement in the stool was significantly better than other groups after treatment. The safety parameters including liver and kidney function, lectrolytes, glucose, ECG, symptoms of schizophrenia such as PANSS score had no obvious change in each group after treatment. Conclusion PEG 3350 plus electrolytes was effective and safe in the treatment of clozapine-indueed constipation in chronic schizophrenia.

Objective To evaluate the effect of conformal radiotherapy for elderly patients with adva nced non-small-cell lung cancer. Methods From November 1998 to June 2001, 24 elderly patients with advanced non-small -cell lung cancer were treated with conformal radiotherapy. ResultsOne-year, two-year and three-year overall survival rate for the entire group are 91 67%, 54 16%, 43 33%. No patients developed acute radiation pneumonitis . According to the univariate analysis, significant prognostic factors included superior vena cava syndrome, Karnofsky performance status scores and gross tumo r volume. Conclusions Conformal radiotherapy improve the effect in elderly patients with advanced no n-small-cell lung cancer.

Objective To explore the quality of life and its influencing factors among permanent colostomy patients. Methods Totally 219 permanent colostomy patients were recruited by convenient sampling method from January 2013 to December 2014 and investigated by Stoma Quality of life-Chinese Version, Stoma self-efficacy Scale, Stoma Self-care Scale-general version , and demographic questionnaire. Data were analyzed by SPSS 17.0. Results The score of Stoma-QoL-C among permanent colostomy patients was (54.86±12.17) points, which showed a dynamic V-type change as time went by. The quality of life of patients with colostomy for 1 to 3 years was especially low (50.46±13.77) points, P<0.01. The influencing factors of quality of life among permanent colostomy patients included self-efficacy, body image change, family members′acceptance of stoma except their spouses and self-care ability, while self-efficacy was the most important influencing factor. Conclusions The enterostomal nurses should pay more attention to the quality of life of the patients who have had colostomy for 1 to 3 years, enhance the patients self-efficacy and self-care ability, and help the patients to accept their body image changes and their family members′acceptance of stoma to improve their quality of life.

Objective To compare the contents of forsythoside A and forsythin in Fructus Forsythia and its dispensing granule. Methods HPLC-gradient elution method was used with SunFire C18 column (4.6 mm×250 mm, 5μm), mobile phase A of acetonitrile and B of acetic acid, flow rate of 1.0 mL/min, detection wavelength of 277 nm, and column temperature at 30 ℃. HPLC was used to determine the contents of forsythoside A and forsythin in Fructus Forsythia and its dispensing granule, and compare the difference between the two contents. Results The content of forsythoside A in dispensing granule was less than that of raw material of Fructus Forsythia, and the concentration of the major components in the commercial Lianqiao Granule were not equivalent to that in the decoction of Fructus Forsythia. The content of forsythin in dispensing granule was equivalent with that of raw material of Fructus Forsythia. Conclusion The original formula granule production process needs to be improved, and the standardized criteria for the quality control and reasonable quality standard of granule should be established.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(07):-
Objective To investigate the changes of blood lipid, endothelin(ET)and carbohydrate tolerance in simple obesity children. Methods Serum total cholesterol(TC),triglyeride(TG),low density lipoprotein(LDL),endothelin(ET) and oral glucose tolerance test(OGTT) of 436 cases(light obesity group 242,moderate obesity group 138,heavy obesity group 56) were detected respectively. Results The levels of TC,TG,LDL,ET and OGTT in 3 simple obesity groups were all higher than those in control group obviously and there were significant differences. The significant positive correlation between the obesity children serum lipids,ET and obese degrees were observed.Four insulin resistant children were found in heavy obesity group and none in other groups. Conclusions The levels of serum lipids and ET increases in obesity children and the OGTT decreases in some heavy obesity children. For preventing the obesity related health problems, the simple obesity children should be paid more attention to earlier.
