Objective To observe the effect of propofol on phosphorylation of a-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxa-zolep-propionate receptors (AMPARs) GluR1 subunit and long-term potentiation (LTP) in cultured hippocampal neurons in aged rats.Methods A total of 30 18-month-old rats were decapitated,the brains were rapidly removed and hippocampal slice were prepared.The slices were randomly divided into control group (perfused with artificial cerebrospinal fluid,n=10),propofol-treated group (perfused with propofol in artificial cerebrospinal fluid,n=10)and propofol+ phorbol-12-myristate-13-acetate (PMA)-treated group (perfused with propofol and phorbol ester in artificial cerebrospinal fluid,n=10).Extracellular excitatory postsynaptic potentials (EPSP) were recorded from the CA1 region of hippocampal slices.After perfusion for 20 min,LTP was induced using higher-frequency stimulation (HFS,100Hz,400 pulse) by the Schaffer-collateral pathway.The phosphorylation of AMPA-GluR1 subunit was assayed in cultured rat neurons by Western blot.Results The value of EPSP in propofol-treated group (105.50 ± 3.77) was much lower than in control group (242.10±14.68) and in propofol+ PMA-treated group (239.40±8.98) (F=2.90,P＜0.05),and there was no significant difference in the value of EPSP between control group and propofol+ PMA-treated group (P＞0.05).The level of P-Glu1/Glu1in propofol-treated group (0.68±0.15) was much lower than in control group (1.67±0.20) and in propofol+PMA-treated group (1.57±0.18) (F=6.84,P＜0.05),while there was no difference in the level of P-Glu1/Glu1 between control group and propofol + PMA-treated group (P ＞ 0.05).There was no difference in the value of GluR1/β-actin among the three groups (F=0.31,P＞0.05).Conclusions Propofol possesses the ability to inhibit LTP induction and attenuate AMPA receptor GluR1 subunit phosphorylation through modulation of PKC pathway.

Solid state fermentation involves the growth of microorganisms on moist solid substrates in the absence of free flowing water. It has gained considerable attention of late years due to its several advantages over submerged fermentation. This paper mainly introduces the characteristics and mathematical models of solid state fermentation and summarizes the development situation of various bioreactors, the design standards and applications.

Objective To investigate the relationship between hemodynamic changes in cervical and retrobulbar vessels and asymmetric diabetic retinopathy.Methods Color Doppler imaging(CDI) was used to quantitate diameter(D),peak systolic velocity(PSV),end diastolic velocity(EDV) and resistance index of the common carotid artery(CCA),the internal carotid artery(ICA),the ophthalmic artery(OA) and the central retinal artery(CRA),to quantitate diameter,velocity of central retinal vein(CRV),and to check carotid atherosclerosis in 12 patients with asymmetric diabetic retinopathy.Results The detection-rate of CCA and ICA atherosclerosis plaques was significantly increased in backgroud DR(41.7%)compared with that in proliferation DR(66.7%).There was a significant decrease in both PSV and EDV in OA in background diabetic retinopathy(BDR)(20.02±5.32 cm/s,5.26±2.15 cm/s) compared with PDR(27.23±12.20 cm/s,6.23±2.67 cm/s,P<0.05).There was a significant decrease in both PSV and EDV in CRA in BDR(6.44±1.78 cm/s,2.03±1.49 cm/s) compared with PDR(8.41±2.05 cm/s,2.66±0.67 cm/s,P<0.01).Conclusion The imbalance of perfusion in two eyes in diabetic patients might be one of the causes resulting in the asymmetric diabetic retinopathy

Purpose:To evaluate the therapeutic effects of 3-D conformal radiotherapy(3D-CRT) and concurrent chemotherapy in advanced non -small-cell lung cancer(NSCLC). Methods:38 stage Ⅲ NSCLC patients were given radio therapy to a total dose of 75~80 Gy(5-10 Gy/fraction;8-10 fractions)by using SCRT.And ea ch patient was given four cycles of concurrent chemotherapy(vinorelbine 25 mg/m ~2 on Days1,8;cisplatin 80 mg/m~2 on Days1;21 days for one cycle). Results:The response rate was 92.1%,of which 16 complete respo nders and 19 partial responders .The survival rate was 74.53%at 1 year, 37.45% at 2 years,the median survival time was 16 months. Conclusions:Stereotactic conformal radiotherapy and concurrent chemotherapy,as described here,is a well tolerated regimen with acceptable toxic ity.More effective treatment schemes are required to improve local disease contr ol and overall survival.

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of mecobalamin Zusanli acupoint injection combined with α-lipoic acid intravenous infusion in the treatment of patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy.Methods From February 2016 to August 2017,80 patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy in Zhoushan Hospital were divided into control group and treatment group according to different treatment methods,with 40 cases in each group.The two groups were given diet,exercise and medication.At the same time,the control group was given mecobalamin Zusanli acupoint injection,the treatment group was given α-lipoic acid intravenous infusion on the basis of the control group.After 2 weeks of treatment,the clinical curative effect was evaluated.The scores of MDNS before and after treatment were evaluated.The motor nerve conduction velocity (MNCV),sensory nerve conduction velocity (SNCV),and the shortest F wave latent period velocity of the tibial nerve were compared before and after treatment in the two groups.The adverse reactions during treatment in the two groups were recorded.Results The total effective rate of the treatment group was 87.5％,which was significantly higher than 52.5％ of the control group(x2 =12.621,P =0.001).The MDNS score of the treatment group after 2 weeks of treatment was (1.82 ±0.74)points,which was significantly lower than (2.45 ± 0.89) points of the control group (t =3.442,P =0.000).After treatment,the MNCV of the common peroneal nerve of the treatment group was (48.12 ±4.98) m/s,which was significantly higher than (42.68 ± 4.59)m/s of the control group (t =5.080,P =0.000).The median nerve MNCV of the treatment group was (53.31 ± 4.41)m/s,which was significantly higher than (49.85 ± 3.87)m/s of the control group (t =3.729,P =0.000).After treatment,the SNCV of the common peroneal nerve in the treatment group was (42.73 ± 4.28) m/s,which was significantly higher than (39.57 ± 3.65) m/s in the control group (t =3.552,P =0.000).The median nerve SNCV of the treatment group was (46.98 ± 3.47) m/s,which had no statistically significant difference compared with that of the control group [(45.79 ± 3.56) m/s] (t =1.513,P =0.134).The shortest F wave latent period velocity of the tibial nerve in the treatment group was (45.82 ±4.12) m/s,which was significantly higher than (42.68 ± 3.25) m/s in the control group(t =3.784,P =0.000).The two groups had no obvious adverse reactions during treatment.Conclusion Mecobalamin Zusanli acupoint injection combined with α-lipoic acid intravenous infusion in the treatment of patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy is effective and safe,and it is worthy of promoting.

Objective: To develop a healthy personality scale for undergraduates.Methods: A healthy personality scale was developed based on interviews,open questionnaires and theory hypothesis.The test-retest reliability,split-half reliability,internal consistency reliability,construct validity were examined.Results: Exploratory principle factor analysis of the items indicated that the scale had three factors: self consistency and congruence,self-social harmony,practical ability,which explained 54.8% of the total variance.The Cronbach's ? coefficient ranged from 0.82 to 0.94,split-half reliability ranged from 0.70 to 0.85,and retest reliability ranged from 0.73 to 0.84.In the confirmatory factor analysis of the three factor model,fit statistics(RMSEA=0.07,NFI=0.95,NNFI=0.96,CFI=0.94,GFI=0.95) for the model best explained the observed relationship.The three dimensions and the total scale had significant positive correlations with self-esteem and subjective well-being and significant negative correlations with SCL-90.Conclusion: The results suggest the healthy personality scale with eligible psychometric quality,can be applicable to Chinese undergraduates.

Objective To compare the effects of medroxyprogesterone acetate (MPA) and compound norethisterone enanthate (CNE) on the susceptibility of BABL/c mice to lower reproductive tract infection with chlamydia trachomatis (Ct). Methods A total of 60 BALB/c mice were randomly and equally divided into 6 groups:MPA-pretreated control group and CNE-pretreated control group inoculated with MyCoy cell suspensions in the vagina on the 5th day after single treatment with MPA and CNE respectively, blank control group receiving no treatment, MPA-pretreated infected group and CNE-pretreated infected group inoculated with 1 × 107 inclusion-forming units(IFU)of Ct serovar E in the vagina on the 5th day after single treatment with MPA and CNE respectively, control infected group inoculated with the same quantity of IFU of Ct serovar E in the vagina but receiving no pretreatment. On day 4, 7 and 14 after inoculation, vaginal irrigation fluid was obtained from all the mice for cell culture of Ct. Three mice were randomly selected from each of these groups at the above three time points and sacrificed, and vaginal and uterine tissue specimens were obtained for hematoxylin-eosin(HE)staining and microscopic examination. Chi-square test and Fisher's exact test were conducted to compare infection rate among different groups. Results No growth of Ct was observed in the three control groups at the above time points. The culture-positive rate of Ct was 1/10 on day 4 but 0 on day 7 and 14 in both the CNE-pretreated infected group and control infected group, 7/10 on day 4, 2/7 on day 7 but 0 on day 14 in the MPA-pretreated infected group. Fisher's exact test revealed that the culture-positive rate of Ct was significantly higher in the MPA-pretreated infected group than in the control infected group and CNE-pretreated infected group on day 4 (both P =0.03), but similar among the three infected groups on day 7 (P = 0.23). Both the MPA-pretreated control group and infected group showed an increase in endovaginal mucus, thinning of vaginal stratified squamous epithelium, mucification of vaginal epithelium, presence of secretions in vaginal lumen and submucosal infiltration of a few inflammatory cells on day 4, 7 and 14, as well as appearance of pathological changes (including the presence of large quantities of purulent secretions in lumen, mild tissue edema and submucosal infiltration of a few inflammatory cells) in the vagina on day 4. Vaginal tissues were normal in both the CNE-pretreated infected group and control group at the above three time points, but mild tissue edema, lumen expansion, secretion retention and infiltration of scattered inflammatory cells were observed in the uterus on day 4 after inoculation. Conclusions MPA can arrest the estrous cycle of mice at diestrus with the mucification of vaginal epithelium, which may increase the susceptibility to Ct vaginal infection in mice. In contrast, CNE has no obvious effect on the estrous cycle and susceptibility to Ct vaginal infection despite of the appearance of pathological changes in the uterus.

The survey aims at probing into the current development of medical instruments in hospitals and computerized quality control,upgrading the competence of hospital engineering departments and guiding the development of medical clinical engineering.Questionnaire surveys were made to the medical engineering departments of 195 hospitals above secondary hospitals in Zhejiang,totaling 1001 professionals.The results indicate significant differences among hospitals of various scales in terms of deployment of medical engineering Professionals,working conditions,and computerized applications,yet a consistency in academic title promotion and training requirements.In this consideration,it is imperative to build the team,maintain consistency in professional certification of medical engineering professionals,build a regular and systematic examination,promotion and certification system,enhance training in professional knowledge and equipment quality control,as well as promoting information and resources sharing.All these efforts are essential for better quality control and management of medical engineering departments,and promoting computerized management of medical instruments.
