Rehabilitation treatment after cerebral infarction establishes on the basis of plastic changes in the central nervous system,which can compensate the functions lost in the affected brain regions.Neurorehabilitation training realizes neurological function recovery partly by enhancing cortical reorganization.Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) is a non-invasive approach that can effectively improve the cortical excitability,This article reviews the application of rTMS in the clinical studies of motor function recovery in patients with hemiplegia after cerebral infarction.

Objective To culture astrocytes of human optic nerve and establish the cell lines for further study of healing process after optic nerve trauma. [WT5”HZ]Methods [WT5”BZ]Astrocytes of infantile optic nerve were cultured by tissue inoculation or tissue digestion with 0.25% trypsin and 0.06% EDTA. The second and fourth passage cells were stained with HE and anti GFAP, S 100 protein, vimentin, and CD34 antibodies. [WT5”HZ]Results The trypsinized astrocytes of infantile optic nerve reached confluence in 7 days. The cultured cells were in polygonal shape with processes and the cytoplasm was abundant. These cells were positive in GFAP, S 100 protein and vimentin staining, and negative in CD34 staining. Conclusions Astrocytes of human optic nerve can be successfully cultured by trypsinization rather than tissue inoculation.

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and cataract are the most common causes of low vision worldwide.Nowadays, there is still a controversy about whether cataract surgery should be taken in patients combined with AMD and when should the surgery be taken.The aim of this review is to assess the influence of cataract surgery on the occurrence and development of AMD, to analyze the risk factors, to explore the occasion of cataract surgery in patients with AMD, and joint with anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) treatment, also including the development and application of intraocular lens.It helps to avoid and postpone the development and progression of macular degeneration after cataract surgery and get good visual outcome.

Heat shock protein (HSP) is a family of poly-peptdic-proteins with many members. A great deal of data show that heat shock proteins act as molecular chaperones to regulate protein folding, translocation and assembly, it can combine with other peptidic-proteins existing in cells and participating in the process of anti-damage, repair and thermotolerance of cells. In recent years, with the progress of research in this field, it has arisen extensive attentions of the application of heat shock proteins in etiology , therapeutics and prevention of tumor. HSP becomes one of the most active research field.

Objective To discuss the protective effects of thioltransferase (TTase) on oxidative damaged human lens epithelial cells (HLEC) induced by ultraviolet radiation.Methods HLEC were cultured in vitro and then randomly divided into 4 groups:Normal group:normal cultured HLEC;UV group:normal cultured HLEC + UV radiation (with 302 nm UV radiation irradiation intensity 55.56 μW · cm-2 for 15 minutes,totaling irradiation volume 500 J · m-2);TTase siRNA group:HLEC transfected with TTase siRNA;TTase siRNA + UV group:HLEC transfected with TTase siRNA + UV radiation(with 302 nm UV radiation irradiation intensity 55.56 μW · cm-2 for 15 minutes,totaling irradiation volume 500 J · m-2).TTase mRNA expression was measured by qRT-PCR,the cell proliferation was detected by LDH Assay Kit,and the TTase activity was measured.TTase expression was detected by Western blotting.The levels of TGSH,GSH and GSSG of HLEC were measured,and then GSSG/T-GSH ratio was calculated.Results Cell proliferation ability in UV group,TTase siRNA group and TTase siRNA + UV group were decreased by 21.0％,17.0％ and 29.0％ compared with normal group (all P ＜ 0.05).TTase activity in UV group was 2.1 times of the normal group,TTlase siRNA group was 67.0％ of the normal group,Tlase siRNA + UV group was 1.3 times of TTase siRNA group (all P ＜ 0.05).TTase expression in UV group was 3.9 times of the normal group,TTase siRNA group was 35.0％ of the normal group,TTase siRNA + UV group was 3.0 times of siRNA group (all P ＜ 0.05).GSH content in UV group,TTase siRNA group and TTase siRNA + UV group were 68.4％,79.0％,61.7％ of the normal group (all P ＜ 0.05).GSSG content in UV group,TTase siRNA group and TTase siRNA + UV group were 2.3 times,1.4 times,3.7 times of the normal group (all P ＜ 0.05).GSSG/T-GSH in UV group,TTase siRNA group and TTase siRNA + UV group were 3.1 times,1.7 times,5.2 times of the normal group (all P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion TTase plays an important protective role in oxidative damaged HLEC induced by ultraviolet radiation.

Objective To collect and summarize long-term complications of glucocorticoid (GC) in treatment of Diamond-Blackfan anemia (DBA).Methods A total of 17 DBA patients,treated with GC more than 1 year from December 2009 to November 2012 in Being Children's Hospital,Capital Medical University,were retrospectively investigated.The data of general information,drug treatment,treatment response,height and body mass in different therapy periods,and therapy related adverse reaction were collected.The data entry and the statistical analysis were performed using SPSS 16.0 software.Results Seventeen cases which fulfilled the research criteria were enrolled.The 58.8 percent of cases (10/17) began GC therapy from the age younger than 6 months.The 76.4 percent of the cases (14/17) started prednisone therapy with the dosage ≥2 mg/(kg · d),and the median time of maintenance therapy with this dosage was 2 months (1-5 months).The median time of prednisone dosage greater than 0.5 mg/(kg · d) was 6 months (3-48 months).Patients were divided into 2 groups at the beginning of therapy according to whether their age was younger or older than 6 months.The median height of younger age group was-1.0 SD (-3.5-1.0 SD) of corresponded age-sex-standard height at the beginning of prednisone therapy,and was dropped to-3.5 SD (-3.5--2.0SD)afterhalfyeartreatment.For older age group,it was0.0 SD(-1.5-2.0 SD)and-0.5 SD (-1.5-0.5 SD) respectively.During the therapy,there were 1 fracture,2 measles pneumonia,3 pneumonia,3 hirsuitisms,5 thrushes,and 12 central obesity cases.Conclusions GC related adverse reaction might appear when applying prednisone for the treatment of DBA in long term.It was suggested that GC therapy should start after 6 months old if possible,and the duration of 0.5 mg/(kg · d) GC treatment should be reduced as short as possible.

Objective:To study the drug distribution in the local tissues and lymph nodes treated with targeting and continuous interstitial chemotherapy for the oral squamous cell carcinoma before operation. Methods:8 patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma were treated by implanting the sustain-released cisplatin around and into the primary lesion. Drug distribution in tissue were studied by the graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry. Results:The drug concentration in the center of the tumor,1 cm and 2 cm from the tumor fringe were (34.877 1?15.720 8),(20.690 0 ?15.688 6) and (6.635 7?3.862 3) ?g/g, respectively. The drug concentration within lymph nodes of the sub-mental and submandibular area, deep cervical lymph nodes for the upper,middle and lower were(2.991 4?3.055 7),(4.026 0 ?3.692 0), (7.192 0 ? 8.958 7) and (5.028 5?3.484 3)?g/g, respectively. Conclusion:Targeting and continuous interstitial chemotherapy for the oral squamous cell carcinoma by implanting sustain-released cisplatin can increase drug concentration in the local tissues and the lymph nodes, to attain good efficacy of targeting chemotherapy.

BACKGROUND:The experimental animal models can be used to in-depth investigate the effect of ultrasound and contrast-enhanced ultrasound in the diagnosis and treatment of ischemic biliary lesions. But there is no report on the phase timing standard of rabbit model contrast-enhanced ultrasound that used in various hepatobiliary diseases. OBJECTIVE:To investigate the ultrasonic appearance of normal rabbit biliary ducts with conventional ultrasonography and contrast-enhanced ultrasonography, and the criterion of contrast-enhanced ultrasonography phase timing of rabbit liver. METHODS:The conventional ultrasonography of hepatobiliary system was performed on 10 healthy New Zealand rabbits, and contrast-enhanced ultrasonography was performed on duct wal s that displayed in conventional ultrasonography, then the features were analyzed. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1) The bile duct of normal New Zealand rabbits showed a portal to biliary caliber ratio of 3.59±0.54. (2) The detection rates of common and middle lobe bile ducts were significantly higher than that of lateral lobe bile ducts on both conventional ultrasonography and contrast-enhanced ultrasonography. (3) The phases of contrast-enhanced ultrasonography of normal rabbit liver were divided into arterial phase (10-20 seconds), portal phase (21-30 seconds) and late phase (31-180 seconds). The normal duct wal presented hyper-enhancing at arterial phase and persistent iso-enhancing at portal and late phases. The establishment of these parameters of normal New Zealand rabbits not only lays a foundation for the application of contrast-enhanced ultrasonography on biliary ischemia but also expands to other hepatobiliary models.
