2.Comparison of somatotypes on 29 ethnic groups in China

Objective To analyze the characteristics of somatotypes of South Asian type, North Asian type and East Asian type, and to compare the main differences among them. Methods The characteristics of somatotypes among South Asian type, North Asian type and East Asian type in 29 Chinese Mongolian ethnic groups were compared by using the Heath-Carter anthropometric somatotype. The reasons for differences of South Asian type were that North Asian type were analyzed by using principal component analysis. Results The male groups of North Asian type were endomorphic mesomorph and the South Asian types were balanced mesomorph, while the East Asian types differed greatly from each other.The female groups of North Asian types and the East Asian types were mesomorphic endomorph and the South Asian types were endomorphic mesomorph. The somatotypes of East Asian types were similar to North Asian types but were greatly different from South Asian types.Principal components analysis showed that the main differences between South and North of male groups lied first in ectomorphy and then in endomorphy.The differences between female groups of South and North were mainly on endomorphy. Conclusion The ethnic group of North Asian type is higher than South Asian type in endomorphy but lower in ectomorphy.
3.The effects of targeted forkhead box E1 gene interference on epithelial-mesenchymal transition in thyroid cancer cells

Objective To investigate the effects of targeted forkhead box E1( FOXE1) gene on epitheli-al-mesenchymal transition(EMT) of papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) cell line TPC-1, and to study its role in in-vasion and migration of TPC-1 cells.Methods The lentiviral expression vector for RNA interference of FOXE 1 gene was constructed to silence the expression of FOXE 1.Real-time polymerase chain reaction ( RT-PCR) and Western blot were used to detect the expression of such EMT markers as E-cadherin , N-cadherin and Vimentin . Transwell assay and Scratch assay were used to analyze TPC-1 cells migration and invasion .Results After RNA interference of FOXE1, the morphology of TPC-1 cells indicated a transformation of EMT .The expression of epi-thelial phenotype marker E-cadherin decreased remarkably while mesenchymal marker Vimentin was significantly up-regulated(P<0.01).Compared with the control group , the expression of Vimentin mRNA in the experimen-tal group was 2.24 times higher .The migration and invasion ability of TPC-1 cells increased significantly , and the number of cells in transwell was 2.11 times of the control's.Conclusion The silence of FOXE1 gene probably increases the invasion potential of human PTC cells through EMT .
4.Study on transcription and expression of IL-8 in human Caco-2 cells induced by VvhA recombinant protein

Objective To investigate the effect of VvhA recombinant protein to the expression of IL-8 in human intestinal epithelial Caco-2 cells. Methods The VvhA recombinant protein(rVvhA) was ex-pressed by prokaryotic expression vector pET-28a (+)-whA in E. coli BL21 (DE3) , purified by Ni~(2+)-NTA affinity chromatography refoldod by stepwise deliquation together with dialysis methods and identified by Western blot. The cytotoxic of rVvhA to human Caco-2 cells was measured by CCK-8. The transcription of IL-8 mRNA in human Caco-2 cells induced by rVvhA was determined by RT-PCR, and the expression of IL-8 in human Caco-2 cells induced by rVvhA was determined by ELISA assay. Results rVvhA was purified with high purity up to 95%. The viability of human Caco-2 cells treated with 1.5 HU/ml rVvhA was inhibi-ted significantly (P < 0.05). The rVvhA can induce human Caco-2 cells to increase the transcription and expression of IL-8 in dose- and time-dependent manner. The transcription of IL-8 gene in human Caco-2 cells treated with 0.6 HU/ml rVvhA in 30 min can be up-regulated significantly, and the expression of IL-8 in human Caco-2 cells treated with rVvhA in 4 h can be increased significantly. Conclusion rVvhA has cy-totoxic to human Caco-2 and can increase the expression of IL-8, it might play a major role in the inflamma-tory reaction of rVvhA-exposed cells.
5.Clinical anatomy study on neurocutaneous vascular flap

Objective To provide vascular feature of neurocutaneous vascular flap and anatomical details about how to design the flap.Methods Ten fresh human body sample with twenty limb were perfused.The clinical anatomy of lateral antebrachial cutaneous nerve,medial antebrachial cutaneous nerve,sural nerve,superficial peroneal nerve,saphenous nerve and their nutrient vessels were studied.The distribution of their nutrient perforators were observed.Results Neurocutaneous nutrient vessels or nutrition artery with large diameter were accompanying nervus cutaneus by a long distance; Or longitudinal vascular chains were formed by ramus communicans with the ascending branches and descending branches from multiple segmental vessels.Medial antebrachial cutaneous nerve,lateral antebrachial cutaneous nerve,sural nerve,superficial peroneal nerve,saphenous nerve has the ulnar artery perforating branches,radial artery perforating branches,anteriolateral supra malleolar perforating branches,posterolateral supra malleolar perforating branches,medial supra malleolar perforating branches,accompanied separately,and the occurrence rate were 100%,95%,80%,90%,100% respectively.Conclusion Cutaneous branch from the main deep artery is the anatomical basis of neurocutaneous nutrient vessel.Its distribution also accord to pressure balance rule.Mostly nervus cutaneus had constant perforator attending to suply its nutrition.Actually neurocutaneous nutrient vessel is a predictable and reliable vascular chain.
6.Intraoperative neuromonitoring of the recurrent laryngeal nerve during thyroid cancer surgery

Objective To explore the clinical significance of intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM)of recurrent laryngeal nerve (RLN) during thyroid cancer surgery.Methods 200 patients undergoing thyroid cancer surgery from Oct.2011 to May 2012 were retrospectively reviewed.The 200 patients were divided into 2 groups:100 patients in group A with IONM and 100 patients in group B without IONM.Results Group A had less RLN exposure time than group B(10.5 vs 15.3 mins,P <0.01).Group A had shorter operation time than group B (78.5 vs 82.3 mins).The difference had no statistical significance (P > 0.05).Transient RLN palsy occurred to 5 cases in group A and 11 cases in group B(P<0.05).Permanent RLN palsy occurred to 1 case in group A.No one in groupB had permanent RLN palsy (P > 0.05).Conclusions IONM can reduce the incidence of transient RLN palsy compared with visualization alone.It is an effective procedure for identifying and protecting RLN in thyroid cancer surgery.
7.Dexmedetomidine and midazolam in procedural sedation: a systematic review of efficacy and safety

Objective:To systematically review the efficacy and safety of dexmedetomidine and midazolam in procedural sedation. Methods: PubMed,EMBase,Cochrane Library,CNKI,CBM and WanFang databases were retrieved to collect the randomized controlled trials (RCT) about comparion of efficacy and safety between dexmedetomidine and midazolam in procedural sedation up to March, 2017. Based on the inclusion criteria, the data extraction and quality evaluation were performed, and then the systematic evaluation was carried out.The outcome measures for efficacy were the satisfaction scores and pain scores of the patients and clinicians;the outcome measures for safety comparison were hypotension, hypoxia, and circulatory and respiratory complications.Results:There were 14 RCT satisfied the inclusion criteria including 949 patients.Compared with midazolam group, the incidence of pain, delirium, and analgesia of the patients in dexmedetomidine group had significant differences (P<0.05);but the incidence of respiratory depression, low blood pressure had no significant differences (P>0.05).Conclusion:When the adult patients are sedated, dexmedetomidine can be used as an ideal alternative to midazolam sedation.
8.Debugging and Evaluation after Cochlear Implantation

Objective To investigate the adjustment methods and evaluation for children after cochlear implantation. Methods 6 children after artificial cochlear implantation were debugged by subjective psychological physical test, objective methods such as electricity induced composite action potential (ECAP), electrically evoked stapedius reflex threshold (ESRT) and electrically evoked auditory brainstem response (EABR). Results All the children got satisfied data. Conclusion For the children after cochlear implantation, objective methods such as ECAP, ESRT, EABR combined with subjective psychological physical test all together are helpful to obtain accurate threshold.
9.Photosynthetic parameters and physiological indexes of Paris polyphylla var. yunnanensis influenced by arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi.

Through potted inoculation test at room temperature and indoor analysis, the photosynthetic parameters and physiological and biochemical indexes of Paris polyphylla var. yunnanensis were observed after 28 arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi were injected into the P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis growing in a sterile soil environment. The results showed that AM fungi established a good symbiosis with P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis. The AM fungi influenced the photosynthetic parameters and physiological and biochemical indexes of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis. And the influences were varied depending on different AM fungi. The application of AM fungi improved photosynthesis intensity of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis mesophyll cells, the contents of soluble protein and soluble sugar, protective enzyme activity of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis leaf, which was beneficial to resist the adverse environment and promote the growth of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis. Otherwise, there was a certain mutual selectivity between P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis and AM fungi. From the comprehensive effect of inoculation, Racocetra coralloidea, Scutellospora calospora, Claroideoglomus claroideum, S. pellucida and Rhizophagus clarus were the most suitable AM fungi to P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis when P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis was planted in the field.

10.Analysis on SARS‑CoV‑2 contamination in the environment exposure to the SARS‑CoV‑2 cases in Huangpu District of Shanghai in 2022

Abstract: Objective To analyze the detection of SARS‑CoV‑2 in household environment and public place environment of Huangpu District, and describe the feature of SARS‑CoV‑2 contamination in the environment exposure to the infected cases, so as to support the control strategies such as disinfection and health communication. Methods The results of RT-PCR test for the environmental samples exposure to the cases infected by SARS‑CoV‑2 during February 1 to March 31 2022 in Huangpu District of Shanghai were collected as the research data. Pearson χ2 was used to test the significance of the differences between positive rates of SARS‑CoV‑2 contamination. Results From February 1 to March 31, household environment samples had a higher positive rate (6.47%, 234/3 618) of SARS‑CoV‑2 contamination while the public place samples had a lower one (1.22%, 47/3 582) in Huangpu District of Shanghai (χ2=141.908, P<0.01). Among the household buildings, the lane houses of old style representing poorer living condition had the highest positive rates (8.31%, 96/1 155) of SARS‑CoV‑2 contamination while the apartments representing better living condition had the lowest (3.59%, 22/612) (F=5.25,P<0.05). Among the samples from household environment, samples regarding sewerage had the highest positive rates (13.30%,58/436) of SARS‑CoV‑2 contamination, while samples regarding the tool of cooking and sweeping had the lowest (3.10%,17/548) (F=9.84,P<0.01). Among the samples from public place environment, samples regarding entertainment tools had the highest positive rates (13.33%, 2/15) of SARS‑CoV‑2 contamination, while samples regarding the tool of cooking and sweeping had the lowest (0.62%, 4/646) (F=4.22,P<0.01). Conclusion In the environment exposure to the SARS‑CoV‑2 infected cases, the disinfection, ventilation and cleaning should be intensified strictly. SARS‑CoV‑2's surviving in sewage environment should be evaluation dynamically. More health communication should be pushed to people of poorer living condition.
