6.DIRECTIONAL INDUCEMENT OF SCIATIC NERVE DERIVED DIFFUSIBLE FACTORS ON REGENERATING AXONS OF ADULT FROGS
Acta Anatomica Sinica 1955;0(03):-
Objective To study the effects of directional inducement of factors produced by injured sciatic nerve on the regenerating axons of adult frog in vivo. Methods Conditioned medium with fraction of 30kD to 100kD was obtained from sciatic nerve of adult frog and pumped out and formed a gradient of concentration toward the end of central nerve stump of cutaneous pectoris nerve with different distances and angles by miniosmotic pumps. After 28\|35 days, the chest tissue was dissected and stained with immunocytochemistry to show the regenerated motor\|axons and the directional value is analyzed. Results The regenerated motor axons grew obviously towards the tip of the cannula with high concentration of CM.The directional value is 0\^84 whereas the value is 0\^04 with random direction. The average directional value between the two groups is significant and is not influenced by the distances and angles of the cannula to the nerve stump. Conclusion Damaged peripheral nerve can produce diffusible active factors with molecular weight between 30kD to 100kD,which induce the directional outgrowth of regenerating motor axons from sectioned nerve stump of adult frogs in vivo. China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2014;39(18):3454-3461
OBJECTIVETo understand the comorbid characteristics and distribution of combined treatment of Chinese and Western medicine in depressive patients.
METHODThe descriptive statistic method and association rule were used to analyze the data from 19 general hospitals with 3-A level in China.
RESULTAmong the depressive disorder, the most frequent co-morbid physical diseases included hypertension (24.67%), coronary heart disease (16.10%) and cerebral infarction (12.89%), and the proportion of comorbid changes with the increasing age, from 6.51% to 12.55%, 16.33% and 12.47% for hypertension; from 2.79% to 5.69%, 10.17% and 14.22% for coronary heart disease; from 3.72%, 6.27%, 7.70% and 12.25% for cerebral infarction. The use frequency of the antidepressants is 77.18%, and the use frequency of flupentixol & melitracen is 20.95%. The use frequency of Huoxue Huayu Tongluo of traditional Chinese medicine is 59.97%, with that of 27.91% for Ginkgo biloba extract The combined use frequency of Huoxue Huayu Tongluo of TCM and the antidepressants is the highest, especially for the combined use of Shuxuening injection and fluoxetine.
CONCLUSIONThe most frequent comorbid diseases of depression include three kinds of diseases, such as hypertension, coronary heart disease and cerebral infarction, and its proportion gradually increased with the growth of age. The single use frequency of flupentixol & melitracen and G. biloba extract is the highest, while the combined use of Shuxuening injection and fluoxetine is the highest.

Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 2001;17(3):277-280
Obese gene was cloned and its protein product which named leptin was found to be expressed specially in fat tissues in 1994. As a metabolic signal of reproductive system, leptin reflects the situations of nutrition and energy, which the body supplys to the brain, and stimulates reproductive endocrinology system, then regulates the functions of reproduction through hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis. The present status of leptin in this field was reviewed.

Chinese Journal of Ocular Fundus Diseases 2012;28(1):68-72
Objective To establish a rat model of blood ocular barrier breakdown induced by anterior segment intraocular analogic surgery. Methods One hundred and fifty healthy adult male rats were randomly divided into control group and model group,75 rats in each group. The rats were anesthetized with 1 ml/kg ketamine hydrochloride/xylazine hydrochloride solution.Three way pipes were attached to a phosphate buffer infusion bag and two intravenous catheters. One catheter was inserted 30° obliquelythrough the transparent cornea anterior to the limbus into the rat's anterior chamber. Then the needle was withdrawn and the sheath was indwelling.Another catheter was connected with a manometer.Intraocular pressure was varied from 0 to 12 mm Hg (1 mm Hg=0.133 kPa) 60 times,30 times per min.The catheter was removed. The eyes were treated with ofloxacin ophthalmic solution after surgery. The 1st,2nd,3rd,5th and 7th day after surgery, the integrity of the blood ocular barrier was assessed by immunohistochemical staining for albumin and quantitative measurement using Evan's blue as a tracer. Results Albumin immunohistochemical staining of the control group was confined to the iris and retinal blood vessels. The choroid was stained at each time point after surgery.Albumin immunohistochemical staining of the model group was abundant around the iris and the retinal vasculature on the 1st day after surgery. The albumin diffused throughout the iris and the retina on the 2nd and the 3rd day after surgery. The albumin reached the retinal vessels on the 5th and 7th day after surgery. The aqueous humor Evans blue leakages of the model group were higher than those of the control group on the 1st,2nd,3rd and 5th day after surgery. The differences were statistically significant (t=25.781,37.433,25.150,19.171; P<0.01).The Evans blue leakage of the model group was close to that of the control group on the 7th day after surgery. The difference was no statistical significant(t=1.303,P=0.209).The retinal Evans blue leakages of the model group were higher than those of the control group on the 1st,the 2nd and the 3rd day after surgery. The differences were statistically significant (t=11.997,14.622,23.014; P<0.01).The Evans blue leakage of the model group was close to those of the control group on the 5th and 7th day after surgery. The differences were not statistically significant(t=2.027,0.756 ; P=0.058,0.459).Conclusion This study establishes a rat model of blood ocular barrier breakdown induced by imitating the injury to the anterior segment during intraocular surgery.
