Aim To investigate the effects of PLCε on the invasion and migration of human osteosarcoma cancer cells U2OS. Methods RNA interference ( RNAi) was used to inhibit PLCεexpression, and the proliferation of cancer cells was measured by CCK-8 assay. The migration of the cells was measured by scratch wound healing assay and migration chamber as-say. Gelatin zymography was performed to measure the MMP2 activities in U2OS cells. Results PLCε ex-pression was suppressed by siRNA. CCK-8 assay showed that PLCε had no effect on the proliferation of cancer cells. PLCε knockdown inhibited cell invasion and activities of MMP2 . Conclusion PLCε knock-down can inhibit the migration and invasion of human osteosarcoma cancer cells U2OS.

Objective: To evaluate the effects of functional appliance and multi-bracket appliance on Angle Class II malocclusions coupled with vertical and transversal problems. Methods:Headgear-activator, Herbst appliance and multi-bracket appliance were used to treat 20 patients with Class II malocclusions coupled with vertical and transversal problems aged from 10 to 15 years. The lateral cephalograms were measured with Winceph 8. 0 software and statistical analysis was carried by SPSS 13. 0 software. Results:The sagi-tal, vertical, transversal problems had mainly been resolved at the end of functional appliance treatment. The SNB were increased( P<0. 05), ANB were decreased(P<0. 05), upper posterior teeth were intruded and distally moved(P<0. 05), lower posterior teeth were extruded and mesialy moved(P<0. 05). After multi-bracket appliance treatment, the anterior teeth achieved normal overbite and over-jet. The molar relationship changed from class II to class I. Mandibular plane angle was not clockwise rotated(P>0. 05). The upper and lower dentition were harmony in sagital, vertical and transversal. Conclusion: Functional appliance combined with multi-bracket appliance can be used effectively and conveniently for the treatment of Class II malocclusions coupled with vertical and transversal prob-lems.

Objective To explore the characteristics of gait of old hemiplegic patients. Methods 22 old hemiplegic patients were investigated with Motion Analysis. Results The bilateral support phase increased, especially for the affected lateral. The swing phase decreased, as well as the frequency, step length, stride length and walking speed. Their heads flexed forward, but trunks remained upright. The motion of range of shoulder and elbow decreased in the affected lateral (P<0.05), and the angle of flexion and adduction in the affected shoulder and flexion in elbow increases (P<0.05). The motion of range of the affected hip, knee and ankle decreased (P<0.05). Conclusion The walking ability impaired in the old hemiplegic patients, with upper limbs spasticity, vision compensation, etc.

Objective To explore schizophrenic′s executive function and characteristics of event-related potential-P300 (ERP-P300) in a Go/Nogo paradigm in order to provide electrophysiological basis for schizophrenic′s executive function. Methods The Wisconsin card Sorting Tests (WCST) were conducted and ERP-P300s in a Go/Nogo paradigm (Go/NogoERP-P300) were determined in 58 schizophrenics and 30 healthy persons. Results The WCST score was poorer in research group than that in control group. ERP amplitudes lowered and latencies prolonged in Go-P3 and Nogo N2 and P3, and all differences had statistical significances (P < 0.05). But there were no differences in N1 of both tasks and Go-N2; Go-P3, Nogo-N2 and -P3 amplitude and latency were related to the WCST well (P < 0.05). Conclusion Schizophrenics have such lowered executive functions as attention and cognition conversion and reactive inhibition and could normally process task prophase merely , and Go/NogoERP-P300 may be one of electrophysiological methods reflecting schizophrenic′s executive function.

Objective To evaluate the relationship between the change of the aortomitral angle (AMA) with left ventricular systolic function in patients with ischemic cardiomyopathy (ICM) by echocardiography.Methods Thirty-one patients were enrolled in the ICM group,and 59 healthy subjects were selected as the control group.On the parasternal left ventricular long axis plane,AMA were measured at the R wave apex (R-AMA),J-point(J-AMA),ST-segment midpoint(ST-AMA),T-final wave (T-AMA)and P-final wave (P-AMA).The angle difference(⊿ θ) =AMAmax-AMAmin,the angle changing rate =⊿ θ/AMAmax.The global left ventricular longitudinal strain (GLS) and global circumferential strain (GCS) were obtained by 2D-speckle tracking echocardiography.Left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),left ventricular end-diastolic volume(LVEDV) and left ventricular end-systolic volume(LVESV) were measured using Simpson biplane method.Results The J-AMA was the largest in the control group,while the ST-AMA was the largest in the ICM group.The levels of LVEDV,LVESV and AMA in ICM group were significantly higher than those in control group,while LVEF,GLS,GCS,⊿ θ/AMAmax and ⊿ θ were decreased (P ＜0.05).In the control group,there was a correlation between T-AMA and LVEF (r =-0.349,P =0.007),and ⊿ θ was negatively correlated with GLS (r =-0.372,P =0.004).In the ICM group,⊿1 θ/AMAmax and ⊿ θ were correlated with LVEF (r =0.424,P =0.018;r =0.490,P =0.005).Conclusions AMA in ICM patients is significantly increased.The angle difference and the rate of its change are closely related to the LVEF,which is a manifestation of three-dimensional structure change of the myocardial.

OBJECTIVETo establish a HPLC method for the analysis of Danshensu (DSS), protocatechuic acid (PA) and protocatechuic aldehyde (PAL) of Xiangdan injection in rat's plasma, and to study pharmacokinetic characteristics of Xiangdan injection components in rats with m-hydroxybenzoic acid as internal standard.

METHODprotein was precipitated by 10% trichloroacetic acid and extracted by ethyl acetate. The plasma concentration was detected by HPLC, The pharmacokinetics parameters of DSS, PA and PAL were calculated by DAS2.0 software after iv injection.

RESULTDSS, PA and PAL have a good linear relationship in 0.68-44.0 mg x L(-1), 0.43-14.0 mg x L(-1) and 0.38-12.0 mg x L(-1), respectively. The average recoveries were more than 92% and the RSD of precision and stability of the test were between 0.4%-4.8%. DSS, PA and PAL showed a two-compartment open model, the half-life of absorption (t(1/2alpha)) were (6.26 +/- 4.6), (5.93 +/- 4.9), (18.44 +/- 2.4) min, the half-life of elimination (t(1/2beta)) were (64.11 +/- 8.8), (63.28 +/- 0.13), (69.315 +/- 0) min, the area under curve(AUC(0-infinity)) were (852.98 +/- 175.6), (83.84 +/- 58.8), (147.79 +/- 12.3) mg x min(-1) x L(-1).

CONCLUSIONA method with high recovery rate and good stability was established to determine the blood concentration of DSS, PA, PAL in Xiangdan injection and applied in its pharmacokinetics successfully.
