This paper aims to discuss the distribution status of insulin resistance in TCM syndromes of Type 2 diabetes mellitus and to provide objective indicators for TCM syndrome differentiation of Type 2 diabetes mellitus.The research methods of the paper involve:Select 180 cases of Type 2 diabetes mellitus as subjects to be investigated and divide them into three groups of yin-deficiency dryness-heat, dampness-heat distressing spleen and yang-deficiency dampness-stasis.Another 60 healthy cases are selected as comparison group. To investigate the clinical characteristics of hypertension in patients with primary aldosteronism (PA), 112 cases of PA confirmed by pathological examination after operation were studied retrospectively. These included 111 cases of PA with unilateral adrenal adenoma and 1 case of bilateral adrenal adenoma. Incidence of hypertension in patients with PA was 100%. 14 3%, 37 5% and 48 2% of patients were at stage 1, 2 and 3 of hypertension, respectively. No relationship between hypertension and the age or duration of hypertension and the size of tumor. Complications of hypertension were found in 31 3% of patients with PA. Stroke was found in 4 5% patients, 3 6% patients with cerebral hemorrhage and 0 9% patients with cerebral infarction. Coronary artery disease as myocardial infarction was found in 1 8% of patients. Proteinuria and renal insufficiency were found in 22 3% of patients and 2 7% of patients, respectively. Complications of hypertension were independent of the age, duration of hypertension, the size of tumor, or preoperative highest systolic pressure and diastolic pressure. 83 9% of patients had taken antihypertensive drugs before operation, and 46 5% of patients still had persistent hypertension after operation. The results suggested that the incidence of hypertension in patients with PA was extremely high, and the majority of patients were suffering from moderate and severe hypertension. Complications of hypertension were common in patients with PA. Hypertension was difficult to control by using antihypertensive drugs before operation, and still persisted after operation in some of the patients with PA.

BACKGROUND: Gentamicin bead chain is an effective drug delivery system for treatment of osteomyelitis, but it cannot be degraded, need to be removed by second operation, and can breed pathogens. As a result, biodegradable drug delivery systems become a hotspot. Nano-hydroxyapatite/poly(β-hydroxybutyrate-co-β-hydroxyvalerate)-polyethylene glycol-gentamicin (nano-HA/PHBV-PEG-GM-DDS) is considered to be a good choice for the current predicament. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the acute or chronic toxic reactions of the whole body and local tissues, intracutaneous stimulation, cytotoxicity and hemolytic reactions after bone remodeling and implantation of nano-HA/PHBV-PEG-GM-DDS, thus providing a new kind of material for treating osteomyelitis. METHODS: Plastic nano-HA/PHBV-PEG-GM-DDS was prepared using plastic fibrin glue as microsphere scaffold and nano-HA as the core carrier of GM that was coated with PHBV and PEG. The acute, subacute/chronic toxicity, implantation, hemolysis, cytotoxicity and intracutaneous stimulation tests were performed according to the evaluated criteria of medical implanted materials as wel as biological and animal trials recommended in GB/T16886.1-1997. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The plastic nano-HA/PHBV-PEG-GM-DDS was nontoxic and caused no apparent changes in liver and kidney function and serum biochemical indexes. Pathological examination showed that the implanted material was covered with tissues, and inflammation changes accorded with the general regularity of inflammatory outcomes. After implantation, the nano-HA/PHBV-PEG-GM-DDS was biodegraded and replaced by osseous tissues. The hemolytic rate of the material extract to the composite diffusion solution was 1.2%, which was below the standard criteria (5%). Human bone marrow cells cultured in vitro with the plastic nano-HA/PHBV-PEG-GM-DDS grew normally with good morphology. There was no stimulation reaction according to the criteria after the diffusion solution was subcutaneously injected into the back of the animal. These findings indicate that the plastic nano-HA/PHBV-PEG-GM-DDS for treating osteomyelitis possesses excel ent biocompatibility and security.

BACKGROUND:Fluorescent magnetic nanoparticles with the properties of quantum dots and magnetic particles have good biocompatibility, and can label cels effectively through endocytosis. OBJECTIVE:To validate the feasibility of fluorescent magnetic nanoparticles in labeling human adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cels. METHODS:Healthy human adipose tissue was extracted and adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cels were isolatedin vitro by type I colagenase digestion. Passage 6 cels were incubated with the fluorescent magnetic nanoparticles overnight. Prussian blue staining and laser scanning confocal microscope were used to observe labeled adipose-derived mesenchymal stem celsin vitro after co-culturing with fluorescent magnetic nanoparticles. The tracing effect of labeled adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cels in vivo was detected by fluorescence imaging system. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Prussian blue staining showed that the fluorescent magnetic nanoparticles dispersed in the cytoplasm of adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cels in the form of blue particles. Under the laser scanning confocal microscope, the nuclei of adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cels were dyed blue by Hoechest33258, and the cytoplasm was dyed green. The fluorescence imaging results showed that labeled human adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cels had good imaging results. Therefore, as an efficient tracer, the fluorescent magnetic nanoparticles can label human adipose-derived stem cels in vitro and provide a new method for transplantation and transformation of adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cels.

Objective To invcstigate the effects of Maixiansan on insulin-like growth factor binding protein 7 (IGFBP7) and apoptosis in rats with ulcerative colitis related colorectal cancer.Methods The rat model of ulcerative colitis-related coloreetal cancer was induced by dextran sulfate sodium (DSS) and azoxymethane(AOM). 40 male SD rats [weight (160 ± 10) g] were randomly divided into 4 groups: model, Maixiansan and Meisalazine treatment as well as normal group peritoneally irjected with saline.The expression of IGFBP7 and apoptosis in coloreetal tissue were detected by real-time PCR and TUNEL after 16 weeks. Results The numbers of colorectal cancer in model group( 1.2 ± 0.4 ),in Maixiansan group ( 0.70 ± 0.15 ),in Meisalazine group ( 0.60 ± 0.16 )were higher than in normal control (P ＜ 0.05), but no differences were found among model,Maixiansan and Meisalazine groups(P＞0.05).The apoptosis in colonic mucosa for Meixiansan(8.70±3.47) group and Mesalazine group were enhanced as compared with that in model group( 1.20 ±0.26 vs.0.38±0.11,P＜0.05).The mRNA expression of IGFBP7 in colon for Meixiansan group were higher than those in model group,Meisalazine group,and normal control(50.5 ± 14.0 vs.18.0 ±3.9 and 39.3±11.4,46.4±6.0,P＜0.05). Conclusions Maixiansan may resist the occurrence and development of ulcerative colitis-related colorectal cancer through upregulating IGFBP7 expression of colorectal tissue and promoting apoptosis of tumor cell.

Methods Based on the literature data of treatment of epilepsy collected in CBM database, we explored the medication principle of both traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine for treating epilepsy by frequency statistical data based on sensitive keywords hierarchical algorithm, retro-read and manually noise reduction. These laws displayed by the frequency of one-dimensional and two-dimensional network diagram. Results Commonly used drugs in western medicine treatment for epilepsy are phenobarbital, phenytoin, valproate, carbamazepine and diazepam. Traditional Chinese medicine commonly used are Angongniuhuang Pill, Qingkailing Injection, Wumei Pill, Tongxinluo Capsule, Compound Danshen Dripping Pill, Xuefuzhuyu Capsule, etc. When traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine are combined used, the most commonly used traditional Chinese medicine are Angongniuhuang Pill, Qingkailing Injection and Compound Danshen Tablet, western medicine are phenobarbital, valproate, carbamazepine and diazepam. Common syndromes are yin deficiency of liver and kidney, deficiency of kidney yin, heart tangled by sputum, deficiency of yin, heart disturbance by sputum and fire. Conclusion Text mining technology can be used for summary of medication principle of treating epilepsy and of epilepsy syndrome, thus provide useful exploration and reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment.
