1.Determination of stress of osteosarcoma caregivers and its influencing factors
Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2010;26(11):31-34
Objective To assess stress degree of osteosarcoma caregivers and explore the impact factors of stress response. Methods We used CRA scale to investigate stress state of the primary caregivers of osteosarcoma patients, the demographic characteristics, status of patients, the objective amount of care and scores for each latitude underwent multiple regression analysis. Results The pressure of caregivers from the city was relatively light, annual income more than 50 thousand yuan and with help from the families to take care patients could effectively alleviate the pressure. The caregivers came from rural areas, household income less than 20 thousand yuan, caregivers were the patients' parents, had their own job presently, with no one to help were high - pressure groups. Conclusions Caregivers of osteosarcoma patients with high-pressure need focused intervention, more help and support should be given to these population.
2.Application of luminex technology in gynecological tumors
Journal of International Oncology 2013;(3):228-231
Luminex technology,as a new type of biochip emerging, has many advantages, such as excellent repeatability, high flexibility, high sensitivity, etc. It can be used easily, quickly, economically to screen the gene and the protein expression changes, which contribute to the researches of molecular mechanisms involved in the development and progress of gynecological cancer and to provide new ways for the diagnosis and treatment of gynecological tumor.
3.Primary chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction
Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition 2009;16(4):250-252
s:Primary chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction (PCIPO)is a rare digestive syndrome characterized by derangement of gut propulsive motility which resembles mechanical obstruction, in the absence of any obstructive process. Treatment of intestinal pseudo-obstruction involves nutritional, pharmacological and surgical therapies, but it is often unsatisfactory and the long-term outcome is generally poor in the majority of cases. This article is aimed at reviewing the current knowledge on etiology, clinical features and management of patients affected by PCIPO.
4.The networks and ultrastructure of interstitial cells of Cajal in rats' small intestine
Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition 1997;0(01):-
Objective:To study the networks and ultrastructure of interstitial cells of Cajal(ICC) in rats' small intestine. Methods:Ten Sprague-Dawley rats were killed and fullthickness ileums of approximately 15 mm length were resected.Immunofluorescence which revealed ICC morphology and distribution in the gastrointestine was examined using a laser-scanning confocal microscope.Ultrastructures was evaluated by transmission electron microscopy. Results:There were 2 different subtypes of ICC in ileum which formed network and parallel distribution respectively.Ultrastructual analysis revealed no significant differences between the subtypes. Conclusion:The interstitial cells of Cajal have unique cell networks and ultrastructure character which were suitable with its functions.
5.Fish oil ameliorates the intra-abdominal sepsis and hypertension-induced ileus
Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition 1997;0(03):-
Objective:To investigate whether the fish oil improves intestinal motility function during intra-abdominal sepsis and hypertension. Methods: 25 rats were divided into three groups. The rats were supplemented by gavage with: ①normal saline as control group(n=9);②fish oil(0.3%,n=8)and ③fish oil(0.6%,n=8)for 4 weeks before operation. The rats were killed on the 24th hour after operation. In vitro ileual smooth muscle contractions were recorded.Ileum sections were assessed pathologically.Immunopositivity of c-kit as markers of ICC-MY by confocal microscopy were evaluated. Results: In the bowel segment with NS,muscles showed a significant reduction in the frequency of contraction compared to that with FO.This change was associated with the changes of ICC-MY network. Conclusion:The intestinal motility may be protected by an enteral fish oil nutrition through attenuating injury of ICC-MY network.
6.Enteral fish oil immunonutrition prevents pulmonary dysfunction during intra-abdominal sepsis and hypertension in rats
Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition 1997;0(04):-
Objective:To investigate whether an enteral fish oil immunonutrition during intra-abdominal sepsis and hypertension dose improve pulmonary function. Methods: We divided 25 rats into three groups. The rats were supplemented by gavage with:(Ⅰ)normal saline as control group(9);(Ⅱ)fish oil(0.3%,8) and(III)fish oil(0.6%,8).The cytokine levels were analyzed. The lungs were harvested, stained with hematoxylin-eosin,and analyzed. Results:Intra-abdominal sepsis and hypertension induced thickening of alveolar walls and inflammatory reaction.Fish oil decreased expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines(TNF-? and IL-1?),inhibitted infiltration of MPO positive cells, and protected pulmonary structure. Conclusion: The lung may be protected by an enteral fish oil nutrition through attenuating inflammatory reaction.
8. Familial adenomatous polyposis-associated desmoid tumors
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2006;27(5):541-543
Desmoid tumor (DT), a rare benign tumor sometimes with local invasion, is more frequently seen in patients with familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) than in the general public, which might be associated with surgical trauma, genetic predisposition and hormonal factors. Fifty percent of FAP-associated DTs are intra-abdominal, usually present as non-tender, slowly growing masses. The symptoms include abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhea, etc. Mesenteric DT can cause obstruction and ischemia of intestine, hydronephrosis and fistula. Diagnosis can be made through biopsy or CT scanning. Surgery should be considered for the abdominal wall DTs and medicine is the first choice for mesenteric DTs. Surgery should be chosen with caution.
9. Germline APC gene mutation in patients with familial adenomatous polyposis: A preliminary study
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2006;27(4):358-361
Objective: To explore the characteristics of germline APC gene mutations in Chinese patients with familial adenomatous polyposis(FAP). Methods: Six FAP patients (March 2004 to March 2005) were screened for germline mutation of APC gene by PCR-denaturing high-performance liquid chromatography and direct sequencing. Results: Mutations were identified in 3 patients from 6 unrelated families. The first and second mutation was at codon 1 509, resulting in an amino acid change from Arginine to Glutamine; the third mutation involved four-base-pairs insertion in the sequence of AGAA at intron 14. Conclusion: Chinese FAP patients with same APC genotype mutation may ha ve different phenotypes.
