1.Determination of Trace Phenol in Waste Water by Inhibition Kinetic Spectrophotometry
Journal of Environment and Health 1992;0(05):-
Objective To establish a method for determination of trace phenol in waste water. Methods It is reported that trace amounts of phenol can inhibit the decoloring reaction of methyl red by potassium bromate in dilute sulfuric acid medium. Results The linear range of this method was 0-17 ?g/25 ml for phenol with detection limit of 6.53?10-9 g/ml, RSD was 0.96%-1.70%, recovery rate was 97.8%-102.0%. Conclusion The proposed method is simple, sensitive and can be applied to determine trace phenol in waste water with satisfactory results.
2.Comparison of Dissolution of Carvedilol Tablets from Four Pharmaceutical Factories
China Pharmacy 2005;0(13):-
OBJECTIVE: To compare the in vitro dissolution of carvedilol tablets from four different pharmaceutical factories for references of clinical application of carvedilol tablets. METHODS: The dissolution test was carried out with basket-rotating method. The content of carvedilol was determined by UV spectrophotometry. The accumulative dissolution percentage was calculated. The Weibull’s equation was used to fit the dissolution parameters including T50,Td,T80,and m. Then an ANOVA was performed on these parameters. RESULTS: The dissolution of carvedilol from four manufactories conformed to the requirements of Chinese Pharmacopoeia(2005 edition). But significant differences were found among carvedilol preparations from different factories in dissolution parameters including m,T50,Td and T80(P

Objective To investigate the diagnosis, operation characteristics and clinical effect of anterior Pilon fracture. Methods A retrospective analysis was carried out to analyze 13 patients who had been treated for anterior pilon fracture from September 2012 to March 2014.All had fresh closed fracture.Mean age was 39.8 years (range,18-61 years).Injury resulted from high falls in 11 patients and falls in 2 patients.According to the preoperative imaging manifestations and four column fracture classification, the fracture type was mainly anterior column fracture. All underwent open reduction and internal fixation with buttress plates, and allograft bone was performed in 8 patients. At the last followup,American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) ankle-hindfoot score and visual analogue scale(VAS) were employed for clinical evaluation. Results Mean period of follow-up was 15.7 months (range,12-30 months).Mean AOFAS score was 91.38 points (range,74-100 points).Excellent results were found in 10 patients, good in 2 and fair in 1,with the excellent-good rate of 92%.Mean VAS score was 1.08 points (range,0-3 points).Traumatic arthritis occurred in 1 patient.Skin necrosis occurred in 1 patient, and was cured by dressing change. There were no complications such as infection, refracture or implant failure. Conclusions Mechanism of injury in anterior pilon fracture is vertical violence when the foot in dorsiflexion position.Imaging findings are mainly characterized by the compression in anterior articular surface of the distal tibia, which is often implicated in the anterior medial malleolus but in part is combined with lateral malleolus fracture. The fracture is the result of high energy injury, and can be diagnosed by mechanism of injury and imaging manifestations.Through anterior approach, open reduction and internal fixation with buttress plates plus allogenic bone grafting obtain satisfactory outcomes.

Objective:To find out the existing pattern of HPV16 in tongue cancer cell and to analyze itsrole in carcinogenesis of tongue cancer. Methods :Southern blot hybridization was used to detect the HPV16sequence and its existing condition in 20 cases of fresh human tongue cancers. Results:HPV16 DNA se-quence in 5 cases of 20 tongue cancers was detected. And HPV16 DNA existed in tongue cancer cell in non-integration pattern. Conclusion:HPV16 was involved in carcinogenesis of tongue cancer through interactionof HPV gene products rather than its integration with genome of target cell.

AIM : To set up a method of determinting the contents of four iridoid glycosides in different preparations of Lamiophlomis rotata ( Benth.) kudo.METHODS : The quantitative analysis was carded out on a column of Waters Symmetry by HPLC using a mobile phase of CH_3OH-H_2O under a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min.235 nm was selected as the detective wavelength.RESULTS: The linear ranges were 0.236-1.18 μg for sesamoside,0.440-2.20 μg for shanzhiside methyl ester,0.094-0.470 μg for 7,8-dehydropenste moside、0.750-3.75 μg for 8-O-ace-tylshanzhiside methyl ester. The recoveries of them were all between 96% and 104% ( RSD < 5% ).CONCLUSION: The method is accurate, stable, reliable, and can be used as a quantitative standard for determining the contents of iridoid glycosides in different Duyiwei preparations.

Journal of Practical Stomatology 2000;0(05):-
Objective:To study the drug distribution in the local tissues and lymph nodes treated with targeting and continuous interstitial chemotherapy for the oral squamous cell carcinoma before operation. Methods:8 patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma were treated by implanting the sustain-released cisplatin around and into the primary lesion. Drug distribution in tissue were studied by the graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry. Results:The drug concentration in the center of the tumor,1 cm and 2 cm from the tumor fringe were (34.877 1?15.720 8),(20.690 0 ?15.688 6) and (6.635 7?3.862 3) ?g/g, respectively. The drug concentration within lymph nodes of the sub-mental and submandibular area, deep cervical lymph nodes for the upper, middle and lower were(2.991 4?3.055 7),(4.026 0 ?3.692 0), (7.192 0 ? 8.958 7) and (5.028 5?3.484 3)?g/g, respectively. Conclusion:Targeting and continuous interstitial chemotherapy for the oral squamous cell carcinoma by implanting sustain-released cisplatin can increase drug concentration in the local tissues and the lymph nodes, to attain good efficacy of targeting chemotherapy.

9.Case-control study on minimally invasive percutaneous anatomic plate osteosynthesis for the treatment of distal tibia fracture.
China Journal of Orthopaedics and Traumatology 2012;25(3):194-197
OBJECTIVETo explore the therapeutic effects of minimally invasive anatomic plate fixation for the treatment of the distal tibial fractures.
METHODSFrom February 2006 to March 2009,87 patients with distal tibial fractures were retrospectively analyzed and divided into four groups. Thirty-five patients in group A were treated by closed reduction internal fixation, including 25 males and 10 females, with a mean age of (34.12 +/- 7.10) years. Eleven patients in Group B were treated by closed reduction and locking compression plating fixation, including 8 males and 3 females with a mean age of (29.03 +/- 4.12) years. Twenty-six patients in Group C were treated by open reduction and internal fixation, including 15 males and 11 females, with a mean age of (31.07 +/- 6.31) years. Fifteen patients in Group D were treated by open reduction and locking compression plating fixation, including 9 males and 6 females with a mean age of (30.27 +/- 6.52) years. The index such as operating time, blood loss, hospital stay, hospital expense, fracture healing time, the last follow-up AOFAS score and complications were compared.
RESULTSAll the patients were followed up for 16 to 48 months with a mean time of (24.6 +/- 2.2) months. There were no significant differences in operating time, the last follow-up AOFAS score among four groups (P > 0.05); but blood loss, hospital stay and fracture healing time in group A and B were less than group C and D (P < 0.05); The hospital expenses in group A and C were less than group B and D (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONMinimally invasive percutaneous anatomic plate fixation is beneficial for distal tibial fracture, which has minimally invasive, less hospital stay, less hospital expense especially combined with anatomic plate.
