Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 1996;2(2):66-69
hemiplegic patients following stroke were devided into two groups一一group A andgroup B for this study. Rehabilitation treatment started for the patients in group A in one month, yet forthose in group B in two or three months after onset of the stroke. Compared the conditions of the twogroups of patients before their rehabilitation treatment, there was no obvious difference(P<0.05)in thefour aspects of their motor ability(Ⅰ-activity in bed;Ⅱ-aclivity in wheel-chair;Ⅲ-in-ward;Ⅳ-outdoor activity). While the result of analysis on their post-treating shift of motor ability showed that thetrend, which the proportion of patients with ability Ⅰ andⅡ decreased but the proportion of patients withability Ⅲ and Ⅳ increased, was more significant in group A than in group B(P<0.05).Thereby it indicatesthat the early starting of rehabilitation treatment is favourable for improving motor ability of hemiplegic pa-tients following stroke.

Objective: To synthesize 10-position schiff base derivatives of emodin and study the anti-tumor activity. Methods:The 10-position schiff base derivatives of emodin were synthesized through emodin reacting with ammonia derivatives in absolute alcohol with acetic acid as the catalytic agent. Their structures were characterized by 1 H-NMR and ESI-MS, and the anti-tumor activity on k562 cells was determined by MTT method. Results:Three 10-position schiff base derivatives were synthesized and the structures were confirmed, and the IC50 on k562 cells was 4. 5, 3. 8 and 2. 0 μmol·L-1 , respectively. Conclusion:The 10-position schiff base de-rivatives of emodin can improve the anti-tumor activity and druggability of the parent compound, which are worthy of further study.

Objective To investigate the relationship between acupuncture analgesia and cellular immunity, the acupuncture effect on expression of c fos mRNA, ppENKmRNA,iNOSmRNA and iNOS activity in the mouse peritoneal macrophage were studied. Methods Twenty BALB/c mice were randomly divided into 2 groups:a,the acupuncture group treated with 5Hz electroacupuncture (EA); b, the control group treated with no EA. The pain threshold was detected by K + ionophoresis method before and after EA or restraining. The experiment was performed by using in situ hybridization, NADPH NBT histochemistry, RNA dot blot and protein dot blot techniques. All dot blot signals were scanned for statistical analysis. Results The hybridization signals and iNOS activity appeared as granules in bluish violet color, localized in the cytoplasm of the macrophage. All dot blot signals were increased in the acupuncture group, when compared with those in the control group( P
