AIM:To explore relationship between the normal strehl ratio ( SR ) values of total aberrations/SR values of total higher-order aberrations and modulation transfer function ( MTF ) at total corneal at different pupil diameters in normal population.
METHODS: To exam the SR values of total aberrations and SR values of total higher-order aberrations of total corneals in 200 people ( 400 eyes ) using SIRIUS 3D topography system and analysis the corresponding root-mean-square ( RMS) .
RESULTS: The subjects with different pupil diameters (3. 0, 5. 0, 6. 0, 7. 0mm)'s exam results of total corneal were as following:SR value of total aberrations 100’(0. 45±0. 12), (0. 25±0. 06), (0. 17±0. 05), (0. 13±0. 04); SR value of total higher order ab cerrations 100’(0. 69±0. 14), (0. 34±0. 07), (0. 24±0. 05), (0. 16±0. 04);SR value of total aberrations 200’(0. 45±0. 12), (0. 24±0. 06), (0. 20±0. 04), (0. 16±0. 03); SR value of total higher order aberrations 200’(0.70±0. 13), (0. 35±0. 07), (0. 27±0. 06), (0. 20±0.04 ) . The SR values of each group decreases with the increases of pupil diameters. The SR values of total aberrations and SR values of total higher - order aberrations at total corneals are negatively correlated with corresponding RMS value. When the pupil diameter is small, the SR value of total aberrations is more related to higher frequency region of MTF. When the pupil diameter is big, the SR value of total aberrations is more related to lower frequency region of MTF.
CONCLUSION: The visual performance of normal people can be well reflected by SR values of total aberrations and SR values of total higher - order aberrations at total corneal.

Objective:To establish a method based on the iPLEX analysis of MassARRAY mass spectrometry platform to detect multiplex genetic mutations among Chinese lung cancer patients. Methods:We reviewed the related literature and data of lung cancer treatments. We also determined 99 mutation hot spots in 13 target genes, namely, EGFR, KRAS, ALK, FGFR1, FGFR2, FGFR3, PIK3CA, BRAF, PTEN, MET, ERBB2, AKT1, and STK11, which are closely related to the pathogenesis, drug resistance, and metastasis of lung cancer and are associated with relevant transduction pathways. A total of 297 primers comprising 99 paired forward and reverse amplification primers and 99 matched extension primers were designed by using Assay Design in accordance with the mutation label and format requirements of the MassARRAY platform. The detection method was established by analyzing eight cell lines and six lung cancer specimens;the proposed method was then validated through comparisons with a LungCarta kit. The sensitivity and specificity of the proposed method were evaluated by directly sequencing EGFR and KRAS genes in 100 lung cancer cases. Results:The proposed method could detect multiplex genetic mutations in the lung cancer cell lines, and this finding is consistent with that observed using previously reported methods. The proposed method could also detect such mutations in clinical lung cancer specimens;this result is also consistent with that observed by using the LungCarta kit. However, an FGFR2 mutation was detected only by using the proposed method. The measured sensitivity and specificity were 100%and 96.3%, respectively. Conclusion:The proposed MassARRAY technology-based method could detect multiplex genetic mutations among Chinese lung cancer patients. Indeed, the proposed method can be potentially applied to detect mutations in cancer cells.

For patients with DTC,the side effect of 131I therapy on fertility and offspring is an important issue since genital tissues are highly sensitive to radiation.Exposure to 131 I radiation may result in transient impairment of gonadal function in male patients caused by elevated levels of serum follicle stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone,low sperm count and motility.In female patients,exposure to 131I radiation may be complicated with delay of menstruation,oligomenorrhea and transient cessation of menstrual period.Most of these symptoms may resolve within one year after 131 I therapy.A slightly earlier menopause is the only reported long-term side effect of 131I therapy on ovarian function.Currently available data do not indicate that exposure to 131I may cause permanent infertility in male patients with DTC.For female patients with DTC,131 I therapy does not affect fertility or pregnancy outcomes beyond one year.

Objective To discuss the application of humanized management mode in nursing night rounds.Methods Humanized management focused on assistance,guidance,supervision and encouragement was adopted in nursing night rounds.Satisfaction rate of night shift nurses and night round matrons as well as nursing quality at night were compared before and after.Results After the implementation of humanized management,satisfaction rate of night shift nurses and night rounds matrons increased respectively from 79.09％to 93.97％,and 82.54％ to 95.24％,and the differences were statistically significant (x2 =10.851,3.938,respectively ; P ＜ 0.05).Score of night rounds quality also improved from (97.01 ± 1.85) to (98.55 ± 1.36),and the difference was statistically significant(t =-133.68,P ＜ 0.01).Conclusions The implementation of humanized management in nursing night rounds can improve satisfaction of both night shift nurses and night round matrons as well as night nursing quality.

Objective To evaluate the safety and accuracy in treating the avascular necrosis of femoral head (ANFH) with computer navigated core decompression and bone marrow stream cell transportation and to guide the clinical treatment. Method Within the prospective study, 36 patients suffered ANFH (ARCO Ⅰ - Ⅱ ) and treated with computer navigated core decompression and bone marrow stream cell transportation were studied. The operating time, blood loss, x ray exposure, preoperative and 6 week postoperative Harris score and imaging evaluation were recorded and compared with conventional core decompression and bone marrow stream cell transportation. Results There were no obvious difference between the two groups in imaging evaluation, operating time and blood loss ( P ＞ 0. 05 ). There were statistical difference between the two groups in x ray exposure and 6 week postoperative Harris score [ (4. 1 ± 1.8 ) s,(13.6±3.2)s,P ＜0. 01,and89.4±10. 1,83.1±10. 5, P ＜0.01]. Conclusion Computer navigated core decompression and bone marrow stream cell transportation have good security and precision in treating early stage ANFH.

AIMTo analyze the most force rising ratio (+ dF/dt(max)) and the most force descending ratio (- dF/dt(max)) for more sensitive index of skeletal contractility.

METHODSMouse model of swimming training was used, most force (f(max)), + dF/dt(max) and - dF/ dt(max) of gastrocnemius contracting were measured and changes of gastrocnemius supermicro-structure was observed.

RESULTSMitochondria increased and myoneme was regular in general training load, gastrocnemius F(max) - dF/dt(max) significantly increased than in control (P < 0.05), + dF/dt(max) increased more significantly (P < 0.01). Mitochondria was rare and myoneme was unusual in overtraining load, gastrocnemius F(max), - dF/dt(max) reduced significantly than in control (P < 0.05), + dF/dt(max) reduced more significantly (P < 0.01).

CONCLUSION+ dF/dt(max) is better index than F(max) in judging skeletal contractility.

OBJECTIVESTo retrospectively review the results of closed reduction for developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH), and analyze the causative for the unsatisfactory results of radiological.

METHODSFrom 1997 to 2005 the results of closed reduction for DDH in 60 children (77 hips) over 4.5 years period were retrospectively reviewed. Radiological final results of the patients were evaluated with Severin classification. The causative factors made from medical records and radiographs were used to make statistical analysis.

RESULTSSeventy-three percent of the patients (56/77) had satisfactory results according to Severin classification. Twenty-one hips classed as Severin III-V. Seventeen of the 21 hips had a reconstructive procedure. Avascular necrosis was observed in 29 hips (38%). The most important parameters affecting the result were age at reduction (P < 0.05) and avascular necrosis (P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONSIn order to achieve better clinical and radiological results, the infants suffering from the DDH should be treated in the early stage. The postoperative avascular necrosis usually leads to poor prognosis.
