In order to optimize extraction process conditions of tannins from Geranium orientali-tibeticum by supercritical CO2, the content of tannins was determined by phosphomolybdium tungsten acid-casein reaction, with extraction pressure, extraction temper- ature and extraction time as factors, the content of tannins from extract of G. orientali-tibeticum as index, technology conditions were optimized by orthogonal test. Optimum technology conditions were as follows: extraction pressure was 25 MPa, extraction temperature was 50 °C, extracted 1.5 h. The content of tannins in extract was 12.91 mg x g(-1), extract rate was 3.67%. The method established could be used for assay the contents of tannin in G. orientali-tibeticum. The circulated extraction was an effective extraction process that was stable and feasible, and that provides a way of the extraction process conditions of tannin from G. orientali-tibeticum.

Objective:To explore the feasibility and efficacy of laparoscopic resection of abdominal and retroperitoneal cystic masses in children. Methods:A retrospective analysis of 11 cases of abdominal and retroperitoneal cystic masses in Department of Pediatric Surgery, Quanzhou First Hospital Affiliated to Fujian Medical University from June 2015 to January 2019 was performed, and all the patients underwent laparoscopic resection or laparoscopic-assisted resection, with 6 cases of boys and 5 cases of girls, aged 8 months to 10 years (with the average of 59 months). Meanwhile, 9 cases were from the abdominal cavity and 2 cases were from the retroperitoneum. Results:All patients underwent laparoscopic or laparoscopic-assisted resection without switching to laparotomy. The operation time was 60-210 minutes, with the average of 120 minutes. The intraoperative blood loss was 5-30 mL, with the average of 10 mL.There was no blood transfusion. All patients were discharged 3-8 days after surgery, with the average of 5 days. The postoperative pathological results included 5 cases of mature teratoma, 1 case of paraneoplastic cyst, 2 cases of intestinal duplication, 2 cases of lymphangioma, and 1 case of hepatic cyst.Totally, 11 cases were followed up for 7-51 months, with the average of 20.9 months. No recurrence occurred. Conclusions:Laparoscopic or laparoscopic-assisted resection of abdominal and retroperitoneal cystic masses has advantages of minimal invasion, rapid recovery in children, and it is safe and effective.

West China Journal of Stomatology 2004;22(1):43-45
OBJECTIVETo study the correlation of prime colonization time of Mutans Streptococci and feeding habits in infants.
METHODSOne hundred and eighty children (aged 6-24 months) from Shenyang city were examined for the colonization of MS Related items were registered by completed questionnaires.
RESULTSThe study showed a correlation between prime colonization time and feeding mode, breast feeding, feeding frequency during bedtime, asleep habits.
CONCLUSIONAdvocating reasonable feeding mode and asleep habits is effective to interdict or delay MS's colonization and transmission in child to prevent caries.

Objective To investigate the effect of high mobility group box chromosomal protein 1 (HMGB-1) on the proliferation and inflammatory phenotype of human fibroblast like synoviocytes (FLS).Methods FLSs were isolated from the synovial tissues of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients undergoing joint replacement surgery. All the experiments described here utilize the FLSs between the third and sixth passages.FLS were incubated with HMGB1 at (100,500,2 000 ng/ml) or interleukin (IL)-1β (0.5 ng/ml) or lipopolysaccharide (LPS) (100 ng/ml) alone or HMGB1/IL-1β complexes or HMGB1/LPS complexes.Cell proliferation assay were used by CCK-8,IL-6,IL-8 and matrix metalloproteinase-3 (MMP-3) in culture supernatants were measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays. The measurement data were compared with single factor analysis of variance. Results Stimulation with all concentrations of HMGB1,IL-1β and LPS alone did not affect the cell proliferation of FLS.HMGB1/IL-1β complexes and HMGB1/LPS complexes did not affect the cell proliferation of FLS,neither (F=0.415.P=0.915).Except high concentration of HMGB1 (2 000 ng/ml) could significantly stimulate the secretion of IL-6 from FLS [(23.0±1.1) ng/ml],HMGB1,IL-1β and LPS alone did not affect the production of IL-6,IL-8 and MMP-3.However,HMGB1/IL-1β complexes and HMGB1/LPS complexes increased IL-6,IL-8 and MMP-3 production from FLS (F=97.804,117.383,70.179,P=0.000).Conclusion Neither HMGB1,IL-1β,LPS alone nor HMGB1/IL-1β complexes or HMGB1/LPS complexes affect the cell proliferation of FLS.HMGB1 in complex with LPS or IL-1β boost IL-6,IL-8 and MMP-3 production in synovial fibroblasts from RA patients.

Objective Shunaoxin Dropping Pills (SDPs), a Chinese patent medicine, has been used widely in China for the treatment of headache, amnesia, and insomnia. The aim of the present study is to observe the effect of SDPs on inducing angiogenesis and neurogenesis in vitro. Methods The present testing system using the serum obtained from animals ig treated with SDPs and a co-culture system in vitro was used to investigate if SDPs promotes brain microvascular endothelial cells (BMECs) tube formation and neural differentiation of neural stem/progenitor cells (NSPCs), which plays important roles in angiogenesis and neurogenesis. Results The SDPs serum sampled from rats ig treated with SDPs for 3 d dose-dependently promoted the tube like structure formation of cultured BMECs, and enhanced the fraction of MAP-2 positive cells of NSPCs, which co-cultured with the BMECs and astrocyte. In addition, there was no significant change in the percentage of glial fibrillary acidic protein positive cells. Conclusion Our results show that SDPs serum can induce neural differentiation and BMECs tube formation in vitro.

China Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;0(08):-
Pi-dan is a signifi cant conception, which comes from Inner Canon of Huangdi. From the vivid description of Pi-dan in Inner Canon of Huangdi,we consider that the formation and process of Pi-dan is equivalent to metabolic syndrome. They are have the same etiological factor:obesity, the same pathogenesis:abdominal fullness and interior heat, and they can result in diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, fat liver, gout and a series of severity vascular complication. The theory of Pi-dan exactly points out that obesity the original cause of metabolic syndrome, and suggests that early prevention and treatment for obesity is an important method to prevention metabolic syndrome and its complications. The main pathogenesis of Pi-dan is abdominal fullness and interior heat, and the main therapeutic methods are Xiaogaojiangzhuo,Kaiyuqingre, and Huoxuetongluo.

AIM: To study the chemical constituents from the leaves of Phyllanthus emblica L. METHODS: The constituents were extracted by percolation with 95% ethanol. Then the extract was separated by systemic solvent separation methods. The ethyl acetate portion from the leaves were separated and purified by silica gel column chromatography and polyamide column chromatography with gradient elution, liquid preparation and recrystal methods. The structures of crystals were identified by physiochemical properties, spectrum analysis and literatures ontrast. RESULTS: Five compounds were isolated and identified. They were ?-sitosterol(Ⅰ);?-carotene(Ⅱ);kaemferol(Ⅲ);quercetin(Ⅳ);avicularin(Ⅴ). CONCLUSION: Chemical compound Ⅴ is isolated from this plant for the first time.
