0.05]. CONCLUSIONS: The currents of voltage-gated potassium channel was inhibited by chronic hypoxic. The inhibitory effect of cGMP on currents of voltage-gated potassium channel in PASMCs from both normal and chronic hypoxic rats may be probably through the phosphorylation of voltage-gated potassium channel.

In the previous study, a high-throughput screening method was established to find the antagonists of CD36. In the present study, a new compound named IMB-1680 was found using this method. The anti-atherosclerotic activities of IMB-1680 were then evaluated. Dose-dependent activities of IMB-1680 were detected by using Sf9 [hCD36] and CHO [hCD36] models. Fluorescence microscopic photography and flow cytometry were used to analyze uptake of mLDL. Foam cell test with RAW264.7 macrophages was used to examine lipid accumulation. The results showed that IMB-1680 inhibited CD36 activity with IC50 of 2.80 and 8.79 micromol x L(-1) in Sf9[hCD36] and CHO [hCD36] cells, respectively. Fluorescence microscopic photography and flow cytometry revealed that IMB-1680 could significantly reduce DiI-AcLDL uptake. Meanwhile, IMB-1680 also could reduce lipids accumulation in RAW264.7 macrophages. In all, the data indicated that IMB-1680 might be a potent effective anti-atherosclerotic leading compound.

Chinese Journal of Sports Medicine 2017;36(5):390-399
Objective To explore the effects of different weeks of high intensity interval training (HIIT) and moderate intensity aerobic exercise on maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max) and the expression of the skeletal muscle oxidative capacity related factor AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) and peroxisome proliferators γactivated receptor coativator-1-α (PGC-1α),so as to provide the basis for the choice of effective load intensity. Methods One hundred and twenty 6-week-old SPF male Wistar rats were equally randomized into 3 groups according to their body weight:a sedentary control group (not receiving any exercise),a moderate-intensity exercise group (undergoing 50-min continuous running at an intensity of 60%-70% VO2max) and a HIIT group (conducting 3-min running at 90% VO2max interspersed with 3-min recovery periods at 50% VO2max and repeating that process 6 times, with a 7-min warm-up and cool-down period at 70% VO2max).All rats except those in the control group exercised five days a week and 50min per day.All rats were measured their weight at 8:00-9:00am every Sunday.Soleus was taken from ten randomly chosen rats of each group at 2nd,4th,6th and 10th week after the onset of the intervention. The VO2max test was done before taking muscles.Western blotting was used to detect the protein expression of AMPK and PGC-1α.Results (1) Both the exercise duration and mode had a significant impact on rats' body weight, and they had interaction with each other (P<0.01).(2) The average PGC-1α expression in the skeletal muscle of 10-week HIIT group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05),and the average VO2max at the same time was also significantly higher than the other two groups.(3) In the HIIT group, the average VO2max at the 10th week was significantly higher than that at the 2nd,4th and 6th week (P< 0.05).The average protein expression of AMPK in the skeletal muscle at the 4th week in the moderate-intensity exercise group was significantly higher than that at the 2nd and 6th week of the same group, and that at the 2nd week of the control group (P<0.05).The average protein expression of PGC-1α in the HIIT group from the 2nd to the 10th week was significantly higher than the control group at the 2nd week (P<0.05).(4)The protein expression of PGC-1α was significantly correlated with temporal variation of VO2max in the HIIT group (P<0.05).Conclusion Ten-week HIIT can effectively promote the expression of AMPK and PGC-1α in skeletal muscles and the maximal oxygen uptake. It plays a more quick and effective role in improving oxidant capacity and cardiorespiratory endurance of skeletal muscles than traditional moderate-intensity exercises.

Annals of Surgical Treatment and Research 2023;105(3):148-156
Purpose:
Elevated plasma D-dimer level is a poor prognostic factor for many solid tumors. However, limited research has been conducted on D-dimer in children with neuroblastoma (NB), and its clinical significance remains unclear. The present study investigated the clinical and prognostic significance of D-dimer in pediatric NB patients.
Methods:
A retrospective analysis of all newly admitted NB patients was conducted from January 2014 to December 2020.Baseline clinicopathological features, preoperative laboratory parameters, and follow-up information were collected. Univariate and multivariate analyses were performed to determine the relationship between D-dimer level, clinical features, and the prognostic value.
Results:
Among 266 patients, the median value of D-dimer was 2.98 ng/mL, of which 132 patients showed elevated D-dimer levels before surgery (>2.98 ng/mL). Univariate analysis revealed that elevated D-dimer was significantly associated with age, hemoglobin, neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio, neuron-specific enolase, 24-hour vanillylmandelic acid, overall survival, and so on (P < 0.05). Patients with elevated D-dimer levels had shorter median overall survival time when compared with normal D-dimer levels (P = 0.01). The prognosis was better in patients with normal D-dimer levels when combined with lower age, ganglioneuroblastoma tumor type, lower stage on International Neuroblastoma Staging System, low-risk group, and without bone metastasis or bone marrow metastasis. The continuous increase of D-dimer level after treatment indicated tumor recurrence or progression.
Conclusion
A high D-dimer level is associated with low overall survival, and an elevated D-dimer level after treatment indicates tumor recurrence and progression. D-dimer can be used as one of the evaluation factors for NB treatment or prognosis.

National Journal of Andrology 2009;15(6):499-504
OBJECTIVETo explore the influence of non-gonococcal Neisseria on the diagnosis and treatment of male genitourinary infection.
METHODSThe samples of urethral exudates, prostatic secretions or/and semen were collected from 8 cases of male patients with acute urethritis or chronic prostatitis, then inoculated into gonococcal agar medium, blood agar medium, Sabouraud agar medium and Mycoplasma agar medium, respectively. Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Mycoplasmae, fungi and other bacteria were isolated, Chlamydiae examined by Gemenez staining, and the gram-negative diplococci from the samples identified by oxidase test, biochemical examination and drug sensitivity test. The PCR products of the cryptic plasmid pJD1 gene of the isolated strains were amplified for the identification of Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Based on the results of drug sensitivity tests, intravenous or oral antibiotics were selected for treatment.
RESULTSEight strains of gram-negative diplococci were isolated in this study, 3 identified as N. mucosa, 4 as N. cinerea and the other 1 as N. lactamica. The PCR identification test of the cryptic plasmid pJD1 gene showed the same positive results in all the strains as in N. gonorrhoeae. The non-gonococcal Neisseria isolated from the male genital tract secretions exhibited a multidrug resistance, especially to quinolones and fosfomycin. All the symptoms disappeared and no pathogens were detected in the patients after a 7-day treatment with Cephalosporins or/and Minocycline.
CONCLUSIONSome Neisseria species normally parasitizing the upper respiratory tract can also cause male genitourinary infections, such as gonorrhea-like urethritis and chronic prostatitis. Neisseria gonorrhea could be clinically and etiologically misdiagnosed through such conventional methods as morphological examination, oxidase test and PCR identification test of cryptic plasmid and other nonspecific genes. Intravenous and/or oral antibiotic medication based on the results of drug sensitivity tests can cure acute urethritis and chronic prostatitis induced by non-gonococcal Neisseria in males. Drug resistance of non-gonococcal Neisseria directly affects the success of treatment.
