Objective To explore the effective using cycle of Lu Wofu lubricant preservation with different cleaning methods, and provide basis for change time of lubricant preservation. Methods 20 000 bricant was ensured under sterile conditions.400 pieces of the same equipment were extracted from surgical instruments every day,and they were randomly divided into the manual cleaning group and the mechanical cleaning group with 200 pieces in each group, each group adopted manual cleaning and mechanical cleaning. The Lu Wofu lubricant was reused and preserved for one week.Lubricant preservation was extracted and sent to do bacterial culture with fixed people, time and quantity. Results of two groups were compared. Results The qualified rate of the two groups at 24-hour was 100%,at 48-hour the manual cleaning group was 92%,the mechanical cleaning group was 77%,at 72-hour the manual cleaning group was 81%,the mechanical cleaning group was 19%,above 72 hours; both the manual cleaning group and the mechanical group was zero.Over 48 hours in the mechanical group and above 72 hours in the manual cleaning group appeared more than 10 million bacterial colonies. There was significant difference between the two groups. Conclusions The effective using cycle of Lu Wofu lubricant preservation was 72 hours for manual cleaning and 48 hours for mechanical cleaning, the manual cleaning delays one day over mechanical cleaning to change lubricant, which can reduce the waste of resources and cost savings.

In the previous study, a high-throughput screening method was established to find the antagonists of CD36. In the present study, a new compound named IMB-1680 was found using this method. The anti-atherosclerotic activities of IMB-1680 were then evaluated. Dose-dependent activities of IMB-1680 were detected by using Sf9 [hCD36] and CHO [hCD36] models. Fluorescence microscopic photography and flow cytometry were used to analyze uptake of mLDL. Foam cell test with RAW264.7 macrophages was used to examine lipid accumulation. The results showed that IMB-1680 inhibited CD36 activity with IC50 of 2.80 and 8.79 micromol x L(-1) in Sf9[hCD36] and CHO [hCD36] cells, respectively. Fluorescence microscopic photography and flow cytometry revealed that IMB-1680 could significantly reduce DiI-AcLDL uptake. Meanwhile, IMB-1680 also could reduce lipids accumulation in RAW264.7 macrophages. In all, the data indicated that IMB-1680 might be a potent effective anti-atherosclerotic leading compound.

International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2010;18(7):553-558
Apoptosis is one of the important forms during cerebral ischemia.Phosphoinositide-3 kinase (PI3K)/serine/threonine kinase (Akt) is the important cell survival signaling pathway, while c-jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) is the important pro-apoptotic signaling pathway. The dynamic equilibrium of the two signal transduction pathways maintains cell survival and apoptosis under the physiological state.Stimulation during cerebral ischemia breaks this physiological balance and results in the apoptosis of massive neurons.A variety of proved neuroprotective factors are associated with the amplification of enhancement of cell survival signal or inhibition of apoptosis signal, and thrus maintain the balance between the two signal pathways.

Objective To discuss the growth suppressing, apoptosing effect of new type tumor-supressor gene-p33ING1 in stomach cancer cell strain, and to explore new strategies and methods in tumor therapy. Methods The PCDNA3/p33ING1 nuclear expressing microsome was constructed, p33ING1 and wt-p53 were implanted to human stomach cancer cell both and to evaluate the effect of p33ING1 and p53 toward stomach cancer cell and synergism between them. Results The PCDNA3/p33ING1 nuclear expressing microsome was successfully constructed. The human stomach cancer cell strain SSCG-7901 under implantation of p33ING1 and wt-p53 showed a significant decrease in cell growth, the coupling time was delayed, DNA synthetic phase was shortened and G0/G1 phase prolonged. The cell collapse increased. Conclusions Despite of the tumor-inhibiting effect and biochemical activation of p33ING1, it also plays a role with p53 gene in controling growth of stomach cancer cell, inducing cell collapse and hampering cell proliferation cycle. P33ING1 and p53 are synergistic to each other.

Objective To design an atlantoaxial lateral mass fusion cage and evaluate its biomechanical stability when it is combined with atlantoaxial vertebral pedicle screw fixation. Methods Forty-six sets of CT 3D reconstruction pieces of the normal atlantoaxial junction were chosen to measure sagittal diameter and transverse diameter of atlantoaxial lateral mass joint, sagittal diameter and transverse diameter of epistropheus lateral mass and space height of atlantoaxial lateral mass joint. An atlantoaxial lateral mass fusion cage was designed on this basis.Six fresh human cadaveric cervical spines (C0-C4) were used as samples to measure 3D motion range of C1,and 2 segments under 1.5 N · m load.3D motion range of samples under the following situations was measured at random:intact state, unstable state (ligament around odontoid process was cut off),fixation with atlantoaxial joint screw+Gallie steel wire, atlantoaxial pedicle screw, atlantoaxial lateral mass joint fusion cage+atlantoaxial vertebral pedicle screw. Results Corresponding width/length of fusion cage is 8/11,9/12,10/13 mm,respectively, and the height is designed to 3.5,4.0,and 4.5 mm,respectively. The motion range of three internal fixation methods is less than that under intact state and unstable state. The difference has statistical significance. The C1+C2+cage fixation produces the least motion range in lateral bending and axial rotation directions and generates the highest motion range in flexion/extension direction. But,the difference has no statistical significance. Conclusion The C1+C2+cage internal fixation technique has similar stability with common atlantoaxial intemal fixation method and can provide extra atlantoaxial fusion spots. Thus,it may be a feasible alternative for atlantoaxial fusion when the posterior arch of the atlas is absent.

Objective To analyse the clinicopathological features of primary small intestine lymphoma(PSIL), and explore the relationship between clinical stage, histological findings, therapeutic modality and prognosis. Methods The clinical data of 34 cases of PSIL were collected, the pathohistological features and results of immunohistochemical examinations were obtained, and the follow-up findings were adopted for comprehensive analysis. Results Among these 34 cases of PSIL,abdominal pain or discomfort, gastrointestinal bleeding and abdominal mass were the predominant symptoms.PSIL mainly involved ileum, especially the bottom of ileum and ileocecal area.Among the 26 patients with follow-up for more than one year, the 1-year survival rate was significantly higher in patients without tumor perforation than those with tumor perforation(76.2% vs 20.0%)(P
