1. In vivo intestinal absorption characteristics of α-hederin in rats
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2014;45(6):807-812
Objective: To investigate the intestinal absorption characteristics of α-hederin and to explore the causes of poor bioavailability. Methods: In vivo single-pass perfusion model was used and the concentration of α-hederin was determined by HPLC. The effects of intestinal segment, drug concentration, pH value, gut microflora, and P-gp inhibitor on the intestinal absorption of the drug were investigated. Results: The absorption rate constant (Ka) of α-hederin decreased following the sequence of ileum > colon > jejunum > duodenum. Absorption parameters of α-hederin had no significant difference at different concentration of 75, 150, and 300 μg/mL and those increased with the increase of pH value. The intestinal flora which were disrupted may affect the absorption of α-hederin. There was no significant difference in Ka and Peff values between P-gp inhibitor and no P-gp inhibitor groups. Conclusion: α-Hederin can be absorbed in whole intestine, but better in lower intestine. The saturate phenomena was not observed under the test range of drug concentration, and the absorption mechanism may be the passive diffusion transport. The absorption can be better under basic condition. The absorption is significantly affected by the intestinal flora and α-hederin is not the substrate of P-gp.

Abstract: Objective To explore the relationship between body mass index (BMI), waist-hip ratio (WHR) and the risk of gout in Urumqi. Methods A total of 516 male patients with gout in a third-class hospital in Urumqi from 2015 to 2019 were randomly selected as the gout group and 516 male healthy subjects in the same hospital as the control group. The relevant blood biochemical indexes were examined and analyzed. Blood pressure, waist circumference and hip circumference were measured. Body mass index and waist-to-hip ratio were calculated. Logistic regression model was used to analyze the relationship between overweight / obesity, waist-to-hip ratio and the risk of gout. The test level is α = 0.05. Results Uric acid, glucose, urea nitrogen, creatinine, triglyceride, low-density lipoprotein, systolic blood pressure, weight and waist circumference in gout group were higher than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05); There were no significant differences in age, height and diastolic blood pressure between the two groups (P<0.05). There was a positive correlation between BMI and WHR and the occurrence of gout (r=0.272, 0.345, P<0.05). There were significant differences in BMI, WHR and waist circumference between the gout group and the control group(χ2= 55.338, 54.928, 54.153, P<0.05). After adjusting for age, aerobic exercise and other confounding factors, the results of multi-factor unconditional Logistic regression analysis showed that the odds ratio (OR) of gout in patients with BMI of 24.00-27.99 kg/m2 and ≥28.00 kg/m2 was 2.005 (1.337-3.006) and 2.677 (1.668-4.296) times higher than that of patients with normal BMI, respectively. The OR value of gout in patients with WHR≥0.90 was 1.668 times higher than that in patients with normal WHR, and the difference was statistically significant. The results of subgroup analysis according to age are generally similar. Conclusions The BMI and WHR of man with gout in Urumqi are higher than those of normal people, and BMI, waist circumference and WHR are all associated with the incidence of gout. The risk of gout increases with the increase of BMI and WHR.

The endophytic bacteria of the mangroves were studied in this paper. The results show that there are 1.728 (0. 195 -4.225)?104cfu/g (fw) bacterial endophytes in the variety of mangroves, the most population of the endophytic bacteria was found in Rhizophora stylosa, the figure was4. 225?104cfu/g (fw) , the next was Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Aegiceras corniculatum, Kandelia candel and Avicennia marina. In parts of the mangroves, the contents of the bacteria in stem was the most, the figure was 1. 649?10 cfu/g (fw) , then the root and the leaf. Of the bacteria, about 43. 53% strains expressed the antagonism against the growth of the plant pathogens, such as Fusarium oxyspontm f. sp. cubense , Colletotrichum sp. and Rahtonia solanaceance etc. and these bacteria were identified as Bacillus sp. . The results also showed that 9 of the 13 strains (69. 23% ) could promote the growth of the tomato, while 4 strains (30. 77% ) restrained the tomato's growth.

0.05).Our data also showed no significant association between the genotypes and the severity of the disease.One-way ANOVA showed that BDNF genotype had no association to the age of onset for developing AD.Conclusions Our results indicate that Va166Met SNP in BDNF gene is not associated with AD.

Photoaffinity labeling is widely applied to demonstrate targets of small molecule ligands. In this paper, biotin photoaffinity labeled molecule with propargyl group 1 has been designed and synthesized, followed it's labeling of N2-acetyl-2'-O-propargyl guanosine 9 by "click chemistry". This technology presents delight development potential in labeling of second messenger cyclic nucleotide, antisense oligonucleotide or siRNA.

Metastatic epidural compression of the spinal cord is a significant source of morbidity in patients with systemic cancer. With improvment of oncotheray, survival period in the patients is improving and metastatic cord compression is en- countered increasingly often. Surgical management performed for early circumferential decompression for the spinal cord com- pression with spine instability, and spine reconstruction performed. Patients with radiosensitive tumours without spine instabili- ty, radiotherapy is an effective therapy. Spinal stereotactic radiosurgery and minimally invasive techniques, such as vertebro- plasty and kyphoplasty, percutaneous pedicle screw fixation, radiofrequency ablation are promising options for treatment of cer- tain selected patients with spinal metastases.

Objective To analyze the incidence of BK virus (BKV) infection after kidney transplantation in our center and to evaluate the efficacy and safety of conversion treatment with Mizoribine (MZR) on BKV infection after kidney transplantation. Methods The information of recipients who received BK virus screening in hospital or outpatient during 2015-02 to 2016-12 in our center was retrospectively analyzed. The recipients positive for BKV were divided into experiment group (given conversion treatment with MZR) and control group (not given MZR conversion) according to the inclusion criteria. The negative rate of BKV,AR,hyperuricemia and the function of renal allograft during the conversion treatment with MZR were observed. Results 182 recipients accepted BKV screening during 2015-02 to 2016-12 and 68 cases were positive. The positive rate of BKV was 38.5 %.The positive rate of peripheral blood specimens and midstream urine specimens was 7.1% and 36.8% respectively.Twelve recipients were positive for BKV in both peripheral blood specimens and midstream urine specimens. There were 27 recipients in experiment group and 36 cases in control group.Fourteen recipients positive for BKV became negative after MZR conversion in experiment group and the negative rate was up to 51.9%.The mean time of negative rate was 3.2 ± 2.7 (1-10) months after MZR conversion.During the conversion treatment with MZR,AR occurred in 1 case and was reversed by the impact therapy with Thymoglobulin in experiment group. The value of serum uric acid was maintained stable before and after MZR conversion under the action of uric-acidlowering drug. The renal function was kept stable in both experiment group and control group after renal transplantation. No deaths and renal allograft failure cases occurred in both groups during the research period. The 2-year survival rate for patients and kidneys was both 100%.Conclusion The incidence of BKV infection after kidney transplantation was high and the treatment scheme of MZR conversion was safe and effective.
