Objective: To investigate the anti asthmatic effects and its mechanism of Yumian Anti asthma Formula (DYA) on asthmatic guinea pigs. Methods: Observe the change of the latent period of asthma inducing of normal guinea pigs and that of them after DYA preventing. Determine the plasma cAMP and cGMP contents. Objective:To determine the in vitro release of two kinds of Changankang Pellets (Radix Astragall, Rhizama coptid) coated with Surelease and Eudragit respectively and verify their colon-targeted release in vivo through X-ray photography. Methods: Changankang Pellets were made by mixing the medical BaSO 4 powder and appropriate drugs together according to original produce and coat methods. After determining their in vitro release, they were tested in vivo by 2 volunteers. X-ray films were taken after appropriate time and analyzed to determine the location and status of these pellets inside healthy objects. Results: Pellets made by this way can carry drugs through stomach, intestine and targeted-release them in colon; the coating combined with pH-dependent and time-dependent Eudragit thin layer has better results. Conclusion: X-ray radiography applying BaSO 4 powder could be taken as a quality control method for colon-targeted release drugs. The preliminary results showed that Changankang Pellets met the requirements of colon-targeted release.

Traditional Mongolian medicine Digeda processes a significant importance in clinical therapy with notably actions of heat-clear and detoxication effects. This paper intends to provide comprehensive insight into the species textual research, chemical constituents, qualitative identification, pharmacology and clinical application of Mongolian medicine Digeda to provide valuable data for further studies and the development of clinical applications of these medicinal plants.

Objective To establish a new rat model of biliary atresia by pure ethanol injection into the common bile duct.Methods A catheter was inserted and fixed in the common bile duct in male SD rats .Saline (8 rats) or pure ethanol (16 rats) was injected through the catheter ,respectively, and the biochemical and pathological changes in the rats were examined .Results SD rats in the experimental group were divided into a persistent injury and a restoration of liver dysfunction groups according to pathological and biochemical detection .In the persistent injury group , biochemical impair-ments were significantly higher at 8 weeks after ethanol injection than those in the control group and restoration group .Dis-tinct pathological changes in the liver were observed using HE , SMA, and Masson staining .Conclusions It is a reliable animal model of biliary atresia induced by injection of pure ethanol into the common bile duct in the rat .It will provide a useful tool in future studies of biliary atresia .

Objective To explore the etiopathogenisis of fungal infections induced by systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Methods One hundred and forty-seven SLE patients with fungal infections during 2004-2013 were assigned as experimental group and the same number of SLE patients without infections were randomly selected as control group. Clinical and laboratory documents of these patients were comparatively analyzed. Results The fungal infections in SLE patients affected oral mucosa , lower respiratory tract and skin , and the pathogenic bacteria were mainly candida albicans. The wide application of glucocorticoid, immunosuppressants and antibiotics pushed the rise of incidence of fungal infections in SLE patients significantly. Conclusions The patients′ use of glucocorticoid , immunosuppressants and antibiotics attributes to a higher risk of fungal infections , especially infections by candida albicans. Fungus infection may raise the level of C4.

Objective To detect the expression levels of serum ITAC, Fractalkine, IL-8, IL-17A, IL-7 and TNF-α in patients with gastric cancer, and to explore correlation among them, as well as their association with different clinical characteristics.Methods The levels of the 6 kinds of cytokines in serum of 46 gastric cancer patients (gastric cancer group) and 30 healthy people (healthy control group) were detected.Results Compared with those in healthy control group, the levels of serum ITAC, Fractalkine, IL-8, IL-17A, IL-7 and TNF-α in gastric cancer group were significantly increased [22.26 (32.83) pg/ml vs 11.95 (9.99) pg/ml, P =0.001;62.21 (82.23) pg/ml vs 26.47 (50.87) pg/ml, P =0.050;4.50 (10.38) pg/ml vs 2.06 (3.17) pg/ml, P =0.002;0.83 (2.01) pg/ml vs 0.21 (0.85) pg/ml, P=0.013;3.46 (1.90) pg/ml vs 2.11 (1.48) pg/ml, P=0.001;1.21 (1.13) pg/ml vs 0.79 (0.37) pg/ml, P ＜ 0.001].There were correlations between cytokines (all P ＜ 0.05).The level of serum cytokines was no significant difference between gastric cancer patients with lymph node metastasis and those without lymph node metastasis (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusions The high level of serum ITAC, Fractalkine, IL-8, IL-17A, IL-7 or TNF-α may be related to the occurrence and development of gastric cancer.High level of serum IL-8 may be a marker of poor prognosis of gastric cancer, and interaction between the various cytokines also has a certain association with tumorigenesis.

Objective To investigate the changes and clinical significance of serum lactate dehydrogenase (LDH),creatine kinase (CK),glutamate pyruvate transaminase (AST),and cerebrospinal fluid lactate dehydrogenase (CSF LDH) in adult patients with acute central nervous system infection.Methods The levels of myocardial enzymes (AST,LDH,and CK) in serum of 96 adult patients with acute intracranial infection in 7days and 39 healthy people were measured by Beckman automatic biochemical analyzer and enzyme rate assay,and CSF LDH level in 96 patients were measured simultaneously.Results (1) The serum myocardial enzymes (LDH,CK,and AST) of intracranial infection group (47 cases with viral encephalitis,30 cases with tuberculous meningitis,and 19 cases with purulent encephalitis) were significantly higher than those of normal control group (P ＜0.01).(2)The myocardial enzymes (LDH,and AST ) of patients with cerebral functional disorder were significantly higher than those of patients with normal cerebral function (P ＜0.05).(3)The levels of serum AST,LDH,and CK in the virus encephalitis group,serum AST and LDH in the purulent encephalitis group,and serum LDH in the tuberculous meningitis group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P ＜ 0.01).The CSF LDH level in the viral meningitis group was prominently lower than that in the tuberculous encephalitis group and purulent encephalitis group,respectively (P ＜0.01).(4) No correlations were found between CSF LDH and serum myocardial enzymes (P ＞0.05).Conclusions (1)There is significant change in the levels of serum LDH,CK,AST,and CSF LDH of adult patients with acute intracranial infection,especially in infected patients with cerebral functional disorder,and the change of LDH is the most obvious.(2)The levels of serum myocardial enzymes and CSF LDH are helpful to the differential diagnosis of intracranial infection in early stage,and judging the severity of the illness.

Lomatogonium rotatum (L.) Fries, Gentianopsis barbata (Froel) Ma, and Gentianella acuta (Michx.) Hulten, the three kinds of Digeda-species Mongolian medicinal materials belonging to the family Gentianaceae, bad been widely used for the treatment of liver diseases. To analyze comparatively the content of swertiamarin and swertisin among these three kinds of Digeda-species Mongolian medicinal materials. HPLC method was applied for qualitative and quantitative analysis of swertiamarin and swertisin. The Phenomenex C18 (4.6 mm x 250 mm, 5 μm) was used, chromatographic methanol and water as mobile phase, the flow rate was 1.5 mL x min(-1) with UV detected at 237 nm, column oven temperature was 25 degrees C. Results showed that the contents of swertiamarin and swertisin were closely related the different species and producing areas. The content range of swertiamarin in L. rotatum from different habitats was 1.73% - 2.72%, 0.43% - 0.96% for the swertisin content; the content of swertiamarin in G. barbata from Alxa Left Banner was 0.38%, and the content of swertiamarin and swertisin in G. barbata from the others habitats and G. Acuta from different habitats were all detected qualitatively. The contents of swertiamarin and swertisin among these medicinal plants showed a significant difference due to the different species and producing areas. As a consequence, these medicinal plants should not be put together for clinical applications.
