Objective To study the significance of expression of Cyclin E in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Methods Cyclin E expressions were examined in 45 specimens of HCC and 30 specimens of paracancer tissues, and the relationship between Cyclin E with the clinico-pathological parameters was determined.Among the 45 patients ,19 were poor encapsulatic; 12 patients had portal vein thrombus; 11 had extrahepatic metastasis;12 had intrahepatic metastasis.Any patient had one or more of 4 conditions mentioned above was considered as invasion and metastasis. Results The overexpression of Cyclin E in HCC tissues was seen in 16 cases (35.6%) ,but not seen in paracancer tissues. Cyclin E overexpression occurred more frequently in HCC patients with poor differentiation and portal vein thrombus ( P 0.05). Conclusions Expression of Cyclin E is related with HCC carcinogenesis; differentiation , invasion and metastasis, detection of expression of Cyclin E may be helpful in the diagnosis, treatment and prediction of the prognosis of patients with HCC.

OBJECTIVE:To prepare Hyaluronic acid-methyl collagen-terpolymer (HEMA-MMA-MAA)/Doxorubicin com-pound membranes-loaded tantalum stent, and to optimize the formulation. METHODS:Electrostatic self-assembly reaction was ad-opted to prepare compound membranes using metal tantalum stent as carrier, hyaluronic acid, methyl collagen and terpolymer as ex-cipients. With 1 and 30 d accumulative release rate as index, orthogonal test was used to optimize mass concentrations of hyaluron-ic acid, methyl collagen and terpolymer, and validated. The drug release behavior in vitro were investigated. RESULTS:The opti-mal formulation was as hyaluronic acid 1 mg/ml,methyl collagen 4.5 mg/ml and terpolymer 100 mg/ml. 1 and 30 d accumulative release rates of prepared tantalum stent were 7.57%(RSD=2.3%,n=3) and 84.14%(RSD=2.1%,n=3),respectively. 20 d later, dissolution rate approximated to zero level rate of drug release. CONCLUSIONS:Hyaluronic acid-methyl collagen-terpoly-mer/Doxorubicin compound membranes-loaded tantalum stent with sustained-release property is prepared successfully.

Objective To detect the tissue factor (TF) mRNA expression in hepatocellular carcinoma and to elucidate its significance. Methods TF mRNA was detected by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) in 27 cases of human hepatocellular carcinoma tissue specimen with their adjacent tissues and in 27 non-tumorous process tissues. Then the relationship between mRNA expression and pathological data were analyzed. Results The expression and the relative expression intensity of TF in hepatocellular carcinoma tissues were 62.96(17/27) and 0.567?0.268 respectively, which were significantly higher than those in their adjacent tissues 〔33.33(9/27), 0.469?0.184〕 and in 27 non-tumorous process tissue 〔29.63(8/27), 0.353?0.121〕, P0.05). Conclusion Expression of TF mRNA were significantly higher in hepatocellular carcinoma and in the invasive and metastatic tissue, which indicated that TF may play an important role in carcinogenesis, invasion and metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma.

Objective To investigate the current situation of radiation protection in nuclear medicine diagnosis workplace. Methods The study was performed in 3 hospitals in northeast, north and central of China from February to December in 2013.The γ dose rate instrument was used to detect the workplace ambient dose equivalent rate of medicine preparation, leaching, packing, injection and imaging.Individual effective dose and equivalent dose were evaluated by photoluminescent dosimeter. Results The ambient dose equivalent rate was up to 1.92 mSv/h at repacking place and 1.2 mSv/h at injection place. The ambient dose equivalent rate of patients after injection was 5.36-240 μ,Sv/h.The hand equivalent dose was 0.01-0.02 mGy.Moreover, there were problems of staff route intersection,as well as the patients after injection staying in the public area. Conclusions Radiation workers should pay more attention to individual protection, and improve the operation proficiency to shorten the operation time.Furthermore,in order to protect public from unnecessary irradiation, there should be some changes in staff route and patients administration.

Objective To discuss the imaging technology and characteristic of perfusion-weighted imaging in rabbit models of hepatic VX2 tumors. Methods Twenty-eight New Zealand rabbits were implanted in liver with VX2 tumor by tissue block. After routine scans were performed on 1.5 T MR scanner, 28 New Zealand white rabbits with VX2 carcinoma were divided randomly into treatment group and control group. Treatment group was divided randomly into group A, group B and group C, 7 animals per group. Perfusion weighted imaging(PWI) was performed in day 14, 25 and 35, respectively, after tumor implantation in all animals. Select the regions of interest (ROI) of the VX2 tumor center, tumor border and pars-tumor parenchyma. Maximal signal reduction slope ( SRSmax ) of the signal intensity versus time curves were created as quantitative variable, and the parameters were calculated and compared in all groups. Results Maximal signal reduction slope ( SRSmax ) of the signal intensity versus time curves were studied in 4 groups, 23 VX2 rabbits,7,5 and 6 in group A , B and C, respectively. The SRSmax of tumor center were ( 12. 6 ± 3.4), ( 9. 8 ± 2. 6 ) and ( 1.0 ± 0. 4 ), the difference was significant ( F = 10. 855, P < 0. 05 ). The SRSmax of tumor border were(48. 3 ± 2.4), (46. 2 ± 1.5 ) and (43. 6 ± 1.8 ) ( P > 0. 05 ). The SRSmax of para-tumor parenchyma were ( 14.4 ± 3.0 ), ( 12. 2 ± 1. 4 ) and ( 14. 8 ± 5.0 ) ( P > 0. 05 ). The difference was significant in different ROI in treatment groups( F value was 7. 435,8. 625 and 12. 595, respectively, P < 0. 05 ). Conclusion PWI can be used in evaluating the liver tumor angiogenesis and angio-degeneration with the treatment of HIFU. It will be possible for qualitative analysis of rabbit models of hepatic VX2 tumors by different treatments.

Objective To investigate the renoprective effect and its possible mechanism of Niaoduqing on the adriamycin(ADR)-induced nephropathy rats. Methods Forty eight male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into normal control(n=12), ADR-induced nephropathy(model, n = 12), Benazepril-treated ADR nephropathy(Benazepril, n=12)and Niaoduqing-treated ADR nephropathy(Niaoduqing, n =12)groups. The rat nephropathy model was established by adriamycin injection and unilateral nephrectomy. The rats were sacrifficed per batch at the 4th and 8th weekend. The pathological change of nephridial tissue, the 24-hour urinary protein excretion and renal function were examined. Immunohistochemistry was used to meassure the expression of fibronection(FN), collagenⅣ(COLⅣ), osteopontin(OPN). Results The 24-hour urinary protein excretion, BUN, Scr, triglyeride(TG), cholesterol(Cho)in model group were significantly higher than those in normal group(P<0.01), as well as more server glomerulosclerosis in kidney were observed in model group than those in control group(P<0.01), while the albumin(Alb)was lower (P<0.01). Compared with model group, the 24-hour urinary protein excretion, BUN, Scr, TG, Cho were significantly reduced and renal glomerulosclerosis was improved in Niaoduqing group(P< 0.01), while the Alb was higher(P<0.01). Conclusion Niaoduqing palys an important role in the prevention and treatment for nephropathy.
