The original meaning of Qijie (pathways of qi) is discussed in the present paper by reviewing related literatures. Confirmed by thermal sensitive moxibustion in clinic, Qijie is revealed to be one of the running laws of meridian qi and the sagittal pathways of the major passages for qi circulation. It is taken as the essential content of the direct pathway for negotiating the superficial part of the body and the intra-organism tissues as well as zang-fu organs. It is supplemented that the theory of Qijie is the theoretical foundation of the local use of acupoints, which fulfilled the basic theory of acupuncture-moxibustion. Thus, an effective approach is created for treatment of intraorganism diseases in clinic.

OBJECTIVETo observe clinical therapeutic effect of electroacupuncture (EA) on simple obesity complicated with fatty liver.

METHODSThirty cases of such disease were treated with EA at Zhongwan (CV 12), Tianshu (ST 25), Qimen (LR 14), Daimai (GB 26), Yanglingquan (GB 34), etc.. After treatment of 3 months, the therapeutic effect and changes of B-ultrasonography of liver, body weight (BW), body mass index (BMI), fat degree, visceral fatty (VFT) content in the cross region, subcutaneous fat (FAT), waist/hip ratio (WHR) were investigated.

RESULTSAfter treatment, the total effective rate for slimming was 80.0% and the total effective rate for fatty liver was 80.0%, and body weight, BMI, fat degree, VFA, FAT and WHR significantly decreased (P < 0.01).

CONCLUSIONElectroacupuncture has good slimming action and it is one of effective methods for fatty liver.

Objective To discuss the efficacy of surgery combined with intra-operative I125 particles implantation in treatment of intracranial tumor.Methods The data of 25 cases diagnosed with intracranial tumors in general hospital of Shenyang Military Region from January 2015 to November 2016 were retrospectively analyzed.All patients received the combination of surgery and I125 particles intra-operative implantation.The therapeutic effect was observed and evaluated.Results All the patients were followed up for 6 to 18 months and there was no signs of recurrence or adverse reactions in the short term.Conclusion The combination of surgery and I125 particles intra-operative implantation could avoid the pain of postoperative radiotherapy and inhibit the short-term recurrence of multiple intracranial tumors.

OBJECTIVETo compare therapeutic effects of acupuncture at Xuanzhong (GB 39) combined with Chinese herbs pyrogenic dressing therapy and common acupuncture on calcaneus spur.

METHODSA single-blind, randomized and controlled trial was adopted. Sixty-six cases were randomly divided into an observation group (n=34) and a common acupuncture group (n=32). The observation group was treated with acupuncture at Xuanzhong (GB 39) combined with Chinese herbs pyrogenic dressing therapy and the common acupuncture group with common acupuncture, Yanglingquan (GB 34), Kunlun (BL 60) etc. selected. The markedly effective rate and the changes of heel pain scores, heel swelling scores, heel burning sensation scores, and walking function scores were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.

RESULTSThe markedly effective rate of 64.7% (22/34) in the observation group was higher than 37.5% (12/32) in the common acupuncture group (P<0.05). After treatment, all the scores in the two groups were significantly improved as compared with before treatment (all P<0.05), and the observation group was better than the common acupuncture group (all P<0.05).

CONCLUSIONThe therapeutic effect of acupuncture at Xuanzhong (GB 39) combined with Chinese herbs pyrogenic dressing therapy on calcaneus spur is superior to that of common acupuncture.

OBJECTIVETo study the methods of three-dimensional reconstruction of digitized virtual hepatic.

METHODSImages of DSCF 2511-2520 were taken from the database of digitized Virtual Chinese Human female No. 1 (VCH-F1). Method of insertion value algorithm of three-dimensional reconstruction was used to make three-dimensional block diagram. In ordering to auto-judge the position of hepatic solid and hepatic ducts, these images were shown with different colors according to the character of color and location of every spot.

RESULTSStereo image of hepatic solid could be shown satisfactorily. Every shape of stereo image and the structure of hepatic duct could be shown by revolving the three-dimensional image with different direction.

CONCLUSIONSThe image of hepatic database of digitized Virtual Chinese female No. 1 was exact. The three-dimensional image of the liver and hepatic duct made by insertion value algorithm of three-dimensional reconstruction were distinct, and it was a ideal method of three-dimensional reconstruction.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the effect and safety of Pingchuan Yiqi Granule in treating bronchial asthma of qi-deficiency cold syndrome type (BS-QDC).

METHODSWith the randomized, positive agent parallel controlled design adopted, the 80 subjects enrolled were assigned in the ratio of 3:1 to two groups, the 60 patients in the trial group were treated with PYG and the 20 in the control group treated with Ruyi Dingchuan Pill (RDP), with the therapeutic course consisting of 7 days for both groups. The clinical effects, effects on TCM syndrome and the changes of lung function after treatment were observed.

RESULTSThe effect of the treatment on asthma in the trial group: clinically controlled rate was 6.67%, markedly effective rate 51.67%, improved rate 33.33% and ineffective rate 8.33%; and the corresponding rates in the control group were 5.00%, 50.00%, 30.00%, and 15.00% respectively. Comparison between the two groups showed insignificant difference (P>0.05). The effect on TCM syndrome in the treated group: clinically controlled rate was 11.67%, markedly effective rate 58.33%, effective rate 21.67% and ineffective rate 8.33%; and those in the control group were 10.00%, 50.00%, 30.00% and 10.00% respectively, also showing insignificant difference between the two groups (P>0.05). Lung function test showed that the change on forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1) after treatment in the trial group was of statistical significance (P<0.05), but no significant difference was shown in the change of peak expiratory flow (PEF, P>0.05); while the changes in the control group were just the opposite, showing insignificance in FEV1 (P>0.05) but significance in PEF (P<0.05). Comparison of the therapeutic effect on lung function between the two groups showed no significant difference (P>0.05). No adverse reaction was found in either group in the course of treatment.

CONCLUSIONPYG used to treat BS-QDC is effective and safe, it's effect is similar to that of RDP.

The enlightenment of heat-sensitive moxibustion technology on acupuncture clinical practice was discussed from the perspective of heat-sensitive moxibustion technology on the requirements of moxibustion acupuncture points, exploration and stimulation, and strict matching of acupoint sensitization types.The heat-sensitive moxibustion technology pays attention to the selection of acupoint status, and accurately locates the heat-sensitive acupoints by moxibustion. According to the needs of the body, the heat-sensitive acupoints are stimulated by heat, so the curative effect is remarkable. From the above discussion, it is known that the dynamic grasp of the state of the acupoints and the treatment according to the objectiveneeds of the body are the key to achieving clinical efficacy.
