1.Research progress on microRNAs in the regulation of lymphoma apoptosis
Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2012;21(11):700-703
microRNAs are a class of highly conserved small non-coding RNAs with single-strand,which regulate their target mRNAs at post-transcriptional level. They have been shown to play an important role in the regulation of development of hemopoietic system malignancies.Evading apoptosis is a hallmark of tumorigenesis. In recent years, accumulative data have proved that aberrant expression of microRNAs participates in the regulation of many crucial pathways of apoptosis.By binding to their target mRNAs,microRNAs may inhibit apoptosis (e.g.miR-17-92 cluster,miR-21) or promote apoptosis (e.g.miR-15a/16-1,miR-150),which act as oncogene or tumor suppressor. In addition, the differential expression of microRNAs in lymphoma may provide new markers in determination of prognostic factors. Moreover, insights into microRNA expression in lymphoma may reveal potentially novel therapeutic targets.
2.Question discussion on Theories of Different Schools of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, "the twelfth five-year plan" teaching material.
Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2014;34(2):191-193
The several questions in Theories of Acupuncture and Moxibustion of Different Schools, "the twelfth five-year plan" teaching material, are analyzed and discussed. The expression of DOU Han-qing on "playing a role of meridians, collaterals, qi and blood" is not so accurate, which is suggested to modify as "attaching the importance to needles". "Theory of heaven, human being and earth" "theory of acupuncture on qi regulation" and "the eight therapeutic methods in treatment of disease" in Jinzhenfu (Ode to Golden Needles) are valuable academically and suggested to be supplemented. The expression of XI Hong on "reinforcing and reducing technique by following or against the running course of meridian" and the expression of XU Feng on "the magic turtle eight techniques" are not concrete. It is required to elaborate them in detail. These questions are put forward and needed to discuss with the editors so as to perfect the teaching material.

Journal of Environment and Health 2007;0(11):-
Objective To know the effects of air pollution on the activity of aryl hydrocarbon hydroxylase (AHH) in the placenta tissue of women in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province. Methods The decrement of BaP after the metabolic procedure was used as the indicator of AHH activity. 151 lying-in women were selected and the AHH activity in the placenta was determined by fluorescence spectrophotometer, the precooling EDTA was added in the determination to inactivate AHH and to stop the reaction completely in order to get more stable result. Results The AHH activity in the placenta tissue increased as the atmospheric particle concentration and the BaP concentration in the particles increased. Conclusion The air pollution may induce the AHH activity increase in the placenta tissue of pregnant women in Taiyuan. The AHH activity can be used as the biological monitoring indicator in the PAHs polluted areas.

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2015;29(18):1630-1632
OBJECTIVE:
To study airway reactivity and impulse oscillation (IOS)-measured airway resistance indicators of residents of Zhenhai industrial area in Ningbo city.
METHOD:
In the form of follow-up, both. airway reactivity and respiratory functions of populations in Zhenhai industrial zone (n = 215) and urban (n = 203) were measured, comparing difference degree between different regions.
RESULT:
Ninty-five of 215 cases in industrial area were identified as suspected airway hyperresponsiveness, but only 43 of 203 cases were in urban areas. Forty-seven of 95 cases (49.5%) in industrial zone were positive, while only 14 cases (32.6%) in urban. The proportions of people in the two regions on different types of airway hyperresponsiveness were significantly different (P < 0.01). All airway resistance indexes of urban populations were significantly lower than that of industrial zone (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSION
The prevalence of airway hyperresponsiveness and IOS airway resistance aspects of industrial area residents was higher than that of urban residents. Monitoring and evaluating the airway diseases, inflammatory lesions and respiratory function in the region were good for understanding the severe pollution in the local area in certain significance.

10. Relationship between pre-transplantation α-fetoprotein messenger RNA expression in peripheral blood with tumor recurrence and survival rate in HCC patients
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2006;27(10):1052-1055
Objective: To assess the relationship between pre-transplantation α-fetoprotein messenger (AFP) RNA expression in peripheral blood with tumor recurrence and survival rate in HCC patients. Methods: Thirty-one HCC patients receiving in situ liver transplantation from Feb. 2003 to Feb. 2004 were included in this study. Real-time quantitative RT-PCR was used to determine the expression level of AFP RNA in peripheral blood of all patients. All the cases were followed up for tumor recurrence and survival rate. The SPSS 12.0 software was used to analyze the relationship between AFP mRNA expression with tumor recurrence and survival rate. Results: Ten of the 31 patients were positive of AFP mRNA, with the quantity being 57 to 10 400 copies/μg RNA (median value: 360 copies/ μg RNA). Patients' Child-pugh grade, tumor size, tumor number, and tumor Edmood grade were not related to pre-transplantation AFP mRNA expression. Patients of pTNM III-IV stages had a significantly higher AFP mRNA expression than those of pTNM I-II stages (P=0.001); patients with vascular invasion had a significantly higher expression than those without (P=0.029). Patients who were negative of AFP mRNA before transplantation had a significantly higher survival rate than those positive of AFP mRNA. Conclusion: The results suggest that the pre-transplantation levels of AFP mRNA in peripheral blood may be a risk factor for recurrence and/or metastasis after transplantation in HCC patients; it may also be an indicator for extra-hepatic micrometastasis before transplantation and can be used for predicting prognosis.
