Microbiology 1992;0(04):-
In this study,we isolated and characterized chlorobenzene degrading bacteria from the effluent and sludge samples of one chemical plant.Minimal medium supplemented with chlorobenzene as sole car-bon source was used during the enrichment and domestication process.Seven major bacterial isolates were obtained and purified.Their 16S rRNA genes were amplified by PCR for sequencing and their identities were determined with homology comparisons.Five of the seven isolates belong to Actinomycetales in-cluding Kocuria KD139,Rhodococcus KD140,Rhodococcus KD142,Arthrobacter KD230,and Ar-throbacter KD232;one is classified as Bacillus d KD178;and another one as Stenotrophomonas KD237.The phylogenetic tree was also constructed based on the analysis of 16S rRNA gene sequences.Chloro-benzene concentrations were quantified with gas chromatography to investigate the bio-degradation rates of the isolated strains.Stenotrophomonas KD237 degraded 60.78% chlorobenzene in the minimal medium within 24 h.

Methods:Clinical data of 140 patients with PHPT proved by operation and pathology during January 2010 to June 2016 were retrospectively analyzed. Results:A total of 140 PHPT patients, including 13 (9.29%) cases of parathyroid carcinoma (PC), 27 (19.29%) cases of parathyroid hyperplasia (PH), and 100 (71.43%) cases of parathyroid adenoma (PA). The duration of the PC group was longer than the PH group and the duration of the parathyroid adenoma (PH) group was longer than the PA group (P<0.05). The percentage of young patients with PC was higher than in the other two groups (P=0.003). The diameters of the PC group were larger than those of the other two groups, and those of the PA group were larger than those of the PH groups (P<0.05). Blood calcium, parathyroid hor-mone (PTH), AKP, fasting blood glucose (FBG), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), glutamete transpepti-dase (GGT), blood urine nitrogen (BUN), creatine (CRE), urinary calcium, and phosphorus of the PC group were higher than in the oth-er two groups (P<0.05). The blood calcium, PTH, alkaline phosphatase (AKP), urinary calcium of the PH group were lower than those in PA group (P<0.05). The proportion of ostalgia was 46.15%(6/13), 44.44%(12/27), and 49.00%(49/100). No statistical difference was observed (P>0.05). The postoperative calcium level of PC group was lowest (P<0.001), and the highest was of PTH (P<0.001). The pro-portions of clinical manifestation of the urinary system, digestive system, and nervous system in the PC group were 76.92%(10/13), 76.92%(10/13), and 15.38%(2/13), respectively, and these values were the highest in the three groups (P<0.05). The proportion of the clinical manifestation of the urinary system of the PH group was higher than that of the PA group. The fracture rate (30.77%, 4/13) and constipation rate (38.46%, 5/13) of the PC group were the highest among the three groups (P<0.05). Conclusion:The duration of patients with PC was the longest among the three groups. The percentage of young patients with PC was the highest. The abnormal parathyroid glands in the PC group were the heaviest. The PC group exhibited the lowest postoperative calcium level and the highest PTH level. The biochemistry and clinical manifestations of PC were obvious.

Objective:To study the characteristics of stress faced by and coping style of patients with tempormandibular disorder (TMD). Methods: Thirty patients with TMD and thirty normal controls participated in the study. All subjects were asked to answer the psychological rating questionnaires, including life events scale (LES) and trait coping style questionnaire (TCSQ). The muscle electricity were also measured when the subjects were exposed to an acute stress situation. Results: There were significant difference in LES, TCSQ and response to acute stress. Patients with TMD encountered more life events than normal controls. They also used more negative coping styles and less positive ones. The responses evoked by acute stress situation were more intense and lasted longer than normal controls. Conclusion: Stressful life events, coping style and responses evoked by acute stress may play a significant role in etiology of TMD.

Objective To analyze the results of postoperative conventional radiotherapy supplemen- ted by stereotactic radiotherapy for glioma and with analysis of prognostic factors. Methods From Dec. 1998 to Dee.2004,143 patients with brain glioma were postoperatively treated with conventional radiotherapy supplemented by stereotactic radiotherapy.Steretactic radiotherapy of 5-7 Gy/fraction,to totally 5-7 fractions were added as boost to the GTV following the conventional radiotherapy. The conventional radiotherapy,ai- ming at the peri-tumoral subclinical micro-loci,was about 50 Gy.Results The KPS grades were 81?9, 71?9 in patients 3-6 month after treatment in contrast to that prior to operation (t=5.98,P<0.01 ).CR 39 patients (27.3%) ,PR 70 patients(49.0% ) ,NC 25 patients(17.5%),PD 9 patients(6.3%),with an effi- ciency rate of 76%.The 1-,3-,and 5-year survival rate was 56.6%,36.0% and 21.7%,respectively. Prognostic factor analysis showed that patients with low grade glioma had better survival time.Age,tumor site and dose, etc were unrelated to prognosis. Conclusion Stereotactic radiotherapy supplementing conven- tional radiotherapy is effective for postoperative brain glioma, which method not only shows excellence in physical dose distribution but strictly in accordance with the principle of radiobiology also.
