1.Investigation on Impacts of Industrial Fluoride-induced Pollution on Environment and Residents' Health
Journal of Environment and Health 1993;0(03):-
ve To understand the impacts of industrial fluoride-induced pollution on environment and human health. Methods The contents of fluorides in environmental media, such as air, soil, vegetables, weeds, branches and leaves in area around a certain chemical factory (polluted area) were monitored. The prevalance of dental fluorosis, the contents of fluorides in hair and nail were investigated among 87 individuals without history of exposure to industrial fluorides, living in polluted area for more than 5 years, and 132 individuals in control area. Results Higher fluoride levels in environmental medias, higher prevalance rates of dental fluorosis, high contents of fluorides in hair and nails of population were found in polluted area compared with those in control area. Conclusion The in-dustrial fluoride-induced pollution from this chemical factory had resulted in the hazardous impacts on environmental quality and human health.

5.Related biomarkers in the diagnosis of prostate cancer.
National Journal of Andrology 2015;21(10):937-940
Prostate cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in the male urinary system as well as the second leading cause of cancer death in men. Prostate specific antigen (PSA) screening is the main method for the early diagnosis of prostate cancer, but has a low specificity for its detection. In recent years, a variety of tumor markers with high sensitivity and specificity have been found. This review focuses on some of the more promising tumor biomarkers such as prostate cancer antigen 3, early prostate cancer antigen, prostate-specific membrane antigen, alpha-methylacyl-CoA racemase, and vascular endothelial growth factor.

6.Percutaneous fixation for the treatment of un-displaced scaphoid fractures with herbert cannulated screws through volar approach.
China Journal of Orthopaedics and Traumatology 2014;27(3):187-190
OBJECTIVETo summarize the experience of percutaneous fixation of scaphoid fractures with Herbert screws through volar approach, and provide a reliable and efficient treatment method for scaphoid fractures.
METHODSFrom April 2008 to September 2012,15 patients with scaphoid fractures were treated by percutaneous fixation with Herbert cannulated screws through volar approach including 14 males and 1 female with an average age of 35 years ranging from 25 to 45 years old. Among them, 10 cases were on left side and 5 cases were on right side. Durations from injury to operation ranged from 3 to 10 days with an average of 5 days. All these cases were identified as B2 type according to the Herbert classification based on X-ray and CT scan. In order to assess the function of wrist, all patients were calculated according to Krimmer's score postoperatively.
RESULTSThe follow-up period were from 5 to 18 months with an average of 10 months. At 3 months after operation,X-ray was re-checked every month. All the patients achieved bone union with a mean time of 10 weeks (ranged from 7 to 14 weeks) postoperatively. According to Krimmer's score, 14 cases gained 100 scores as perfect and one case got 90 scores as good. The small volar incision of all patients were union at the first period. No operation complications such as infection and nonunion occurred.
CONCLUSIONPercutaneous fixation with Herbert cannulated screws through volar approach is a reliable and efficient treatment method for scaphoid fractures with small invasion, high bone union rate, and fewer complications.

Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 2003;0(06):-
Objective To compare tbe efficacy of conventional therapy, psychotherapy, serotonin reuptake in- hibitor, and psychotherapy combined with serotonin reuptake inhibitor in rehabilitating nerve function in the treatment of post-stroke depression. Methods One hundred and twenty patients with post-stroke depression were divided into a control group(A),a group treated with serotonin reuptake inhibitor (B),a psychotherapy group (C) and a group in which psychotherapy was combined with serotonin rcuptake inhibitor(D).These groups were graded with the SDS for the degree of their depression and with the MESSS for their muscle strength before andafter treatment. Results The anti-depression therapies showed significantly different effects in improving depression. After eight weeks, group D showed significantly less depression than the others. However, muscle strength did not show statistically significant differences until twelve weeks, when group D again showed better progress than the others. Conclusion Psychothera- py combined with serotonin reuptake inhibitor can promote the rehabilitation of nervous function-after stroke.
8. Pharmacology and Toxicology of Extract from Arcangelisia gusanlung
Chinese Herbal Medicines 2014;5(2):109-115
Objective: To study the pharmacology and toxicology of the extracts from Arcangelisia gusanlung (EAG). Methods: The anti-inflammatory activities were investigated using various inflammatory models including ear edema induced by xylene in mice, paw edema induced by carrageenan, and cotton pellet granuloma in rats. The analgesic effect was observed in hot-plate test and writhing test in mice and the antipyretic effect was observed in rat fever model induced by yeast. The antitussive action was tested in mice by sequential method and expectorant action was evaluated by tracheal excretion of phenol red. The antidiarrhea function was observed on normal intestinal propulsion of mouse model of diarrhea induced by decoction of Sennae Folium. The toxicity was measured by toxicological experiment. Results: Each dose of EAG could significantly inhibit the paw edema, cotton pellet granuloma, and intestinal propulsion. EAG significantly reduced writhing times and amount of wet manure. Obvious antipyretic action to fevered rat was observed. EAG obviously increased the tracheal excretion of phenol red and prolonged the latency of cough. No toxic reaction was shown in the observed period, and the maximum tolerance dose of mice was equivalent to 1360 times of common-used dose in human. Conclusion: The clinical dosage of EAG is safe, and its anti-inflammatory, analgesia, antipyresis, antitussive, expectorant, and antidiarrhea effects are significant. © 2013 Tianjin Press of Chinese Herbal Medicines.
