Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2005;3(4):23-24
Thirty cases of peripheral facial palsy were treated with the comprehensive therapy, and 30 cases of peripheral facial palsy were treated with shallow electro-acupuncture as control. The results showed that the cure rate in treatment group was higher than that in the control group(P< 0.05), and no significant difference was found in effective rate between two groups.

Objective To discuss the feasibility of the lung transplantation as an effective treatment for end-stage pulmonary diseases domestically and to compare the major issues involving the practice of lung transplantation domestically and overseas. Methods After the foundation of group of lung transplantation in May 2002, lung transplantation models of porcine were set up. From September 2002 to April 2005, in the 18 cases undergoing lung transplantation, there were subjected to single-lung transplantion (SLT, 83.3%) and 3 bilateral sequential single lung transplants without CPB (DSSLT, 16.7%). Indications for SLT (n=15) included emphysema (n=9), pulmonary fibrosis (n=3), pneumosilicosis (n=1), lymphangioleiomyomatosis (n=1) and ventricular septal defect (VSD) induced Eisenmenger's syndrome (n=1); for DSSLT (n=3) bronchiectasis (n=1) and pulmonary emphysema (n=2). Among the 15 SLTs, there were 9 cases of left SLT and 6 right SLT. Among them, 2 cases shared one same donor's lung block, one case received contralateral lung transplantation―a left donor lung implanted in the recipient’s right thorax, and one case simultaneous right SLT and VSD repair. Results In hospital mortality (HM) was 3/18 ( 16.7%). Among SLTs, early death was due to severe rejection on the 30th postoperative day in one patient and acute rejection on the 15th postoperative day in other patients, and another patient died due to pulmonary vein embolism on the 36th day. There were 3 and 2 patients with the survival time longer than 1 and 2 years respectively. The median overall survival was 10 (2 to 32) months. Conclusions Our LT program shows similar results to those reported by the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation for developed countries. The key of successful operation depends on the establishment of group of lung transplantation and cooperation of multi-department. Ischemic-reperfusion injury, acute-rejection and infection are the major reasons of deaths shortly after the operations.

Objective To investigate the impact of pancreatic duct stenting as a preventive measure for post-ERCP pancreatitis in patients with repeatedly non-selective pancreatic duct cannulation. Methods Clinical data of 64 patients with biliary tract disease from January 2008 to December 2015 was prospective analyzed. All the patients were randomly divided into observation group and control group. Patients in observation group received pancreatic stent placement, while patients in control group was not received pancreatic stent placement and nasal duct. Postoperative monitoring items included abdominal pain, blood amylase. Then record and compare the incidence of acute pancreatitis, pancreatitis severity rating, abdominal pain score, Ranson score, amylase recovery time between the two groups. Results Observation group had ifve cases of PEP, the rate was 15.6 %, including mild four cases (12.5 %), medium one case (3.1 %); the control group had 13 cases of PEP, the rate was 40.6 %, including mild six cases (18.8 %), medium four cases (12.5 %), severe three cases (9.4 %). PEP observation group was signiifcantly lower than the control group (P < 0.05). Mild, medium and severe PEP were lower than the control group, in which the severe PEP was signiifcantly lower than the control group (P < 0.05). Ranson score of the observation group was (1.2 ± 0.4), significantly lower than the control group (2.5 ± 1.2) (P < 0.05); the observation group amylase average recovery time was (3.0 ± 0.6) d, it is also signiifcantly lower than the control group (5.8 ± 1.4) d (P < 0.01). No bleeding and perforation complications occurred. Conclusion Pancreatic stenting can effectively prevent the incidence of PEP, reduce postoperative pain, improve patient recovery.

AIM: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of orbital decompression in the treatment of Graves ophthalmopathy. ·METHODS: Totally 55 patients 77 eyes with Graves eye disease were selected in our hospital from February 2011 to February 2016. All eyes underwent orbital decompression, the visual acuity, exophthalmos and complications of the patients were followed up for 6mo. · RESULTS: Postoperatively 6mo, the best corrected visual acuity were 0. 23±0. 09, which were better than that of preoperative 0. 46±0. 07(P<0. 05). Postoperatively 6mo, the degree of exophthalmos of the patients were 16. 20 ± 1. 99mm, which was significantly lower than that preoperative 20. 13±1. 87mm (P<0. 05). Postoperative CAS score was ≤3 points in 56 eyes ( 73%) , significantly increased compared with preoperative 15 eyes (19%), the difference was statistically significant (P<0. 05). There were 50 eyes ( 65%) with color vision disorder before operation;after operation, 42 eyes (55%) had significant improvement in visual impairment, and there was no change in the eye in 8 eyes (10%). Postoperatively 6mo, the average decreased degree of exophthalmos were 3. 87±1. 03mm;5 cases were found postoperative diplopia, new diplopia rate was 10%;followed up for 3mo, diplopia disappeared. ·CONCLUSION:Orbital decompression is an effective method for the treatment of Graves ophthalmopathy, but attention should be paid to postoperative complications such as diplopia.

Analgesics are widely used in fracture patients before and after operation. The analgesics frequently used include non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs,as well as central nerve and local medications.Recently, researches report that some analgesics may inhibit fracture healing, which has attracted much attention from orthopedic surgeons. However, there are researchers who hold opposite opinions.Accordingly, this paper reviews the progress in research concerning the effect of analgesics on fracture healing.

Objective:To identify the HLA-DRB alleles associated with vitiligo and psoriasis in Chinese Han people of Jilin region.Methods:HLA-DRB alleles of 82 vitiligo patients and 80 psoriasis vulgaris patients were detected by polymerase chain reaction sequence-specific primer(PCR-SSP),under the comparison with 86 healthy persons.Results:①The frequence of HLA-DRB1* 07 and HLA-DRB1*12 alleles increased obviously in vitiligo group compared with control group(P

Osteomyelitis, particularly chronic one,is still a huge challenge to orthopedic surgeons. The current treatment for osteomyelitis centers on sensitive antibiotic coverage and surgical debridement of nonviable tissue. However, treatment failure and recurrence are common.Recently, adjunctive therapies such as hyperbaric oxygenation have been widely applied in treatment of osteomyelitis to promote sanative effect on osteomyelitis. In this review,we will outline the rationales and current status of potential adjunctive therapies in osteomyelitis management.
