Some cultural practices of a new hybrid yuanhu were reported. The planting deusity of thc new variety wast using small seed tubers (2.8g/Per tuber ), 50~75 tubers/m2 for reprodu ction purpose, 100 tubers/m2 for high yield. 75 tubers/m2 was a suitable density when large or middle seed tubers was used. High reproduction coefficient and yield were obtained when the planting depth was 10cm. It was necessary to irrigate the hybrid yuanhu in North China.Adopting the negative pressure valuc of soil tumidometer as the guide of beginning to irrig ate and to obtain high reproduction cocfficient and to save water, 26.7kPa would be adopted as the initial point of irrigation, excecding 40.0 kPa led to a serious reduction of yield. The difference of yield between rubber tuber irrigaticn and drip irrigation treatment was not obvious, when planting with covering straw in level bed.

Objective Objective To study the feasibility of direct applying MRI to TPS by measuring the geometric distortion of MRI. Methods Phantom 1 was made by marking radical arrangement of fat pipelines every 15? in foam phantom and Phantom 2 by net arrangement at every 2.7?cm. Coronal and transverse scan parallel with the radial and net fat pipeline in the phantom was performed at sequence of cranial FSE T2WI by Marconi 1.5T superconduct MRI machine. Geometric distortion in 5 different fields of view (FOV) was calculated by measuring the absolute borderline error of direct scan and coronal digital reconstructed radiograph (DRR). Results When FOV was equal or smaller than 11.0?cm?11.0?cm, 22.0?cm?22.0?cm and 27.5?cm?27.5?cm, the geometric distortion was 0.0, 1.1 and 1.4?mm of direct scanning MRI and 1.0,1.4 and 2.0?mm of coronal DRR. Conclusion When the magnetic field of MR is high and the tissue shows uniform density, MRI can be applied on TPS directly.

Chinese Journal of Radiology 2001;0(09):-
Objective To investigate the clinical value of iPass in three dimensional contrast enhanced MR angiography (3D-CE-MRA). Methods iPass were performed in 32 cases, including cervical vessel (4 cases), pulmonary vessel (7 cases), abdominal vessel (18 cases), and femoral vessel (3 cases). iPass bolus tracking was run before 3D-CE-MRA. The tracking sequence was operated repeatedly with real time display of image. The peak of bolus arrival time(Tp), identified with signal of target vessel increased 30% over baseline, was automatically loaded in the timing page of 3D-CE-MRA, and the time of scan delay(Td) was computed by the system with Tp. The acquired images were subtracted and reconstructed by MIP. The quality of MIP image was evaluated. Results The iPass bolus tracking sequence and 3D-CE-MRA were completed successfully in 29 cases. The bolus tracking couldn′t detect the bolus arrival time in 3 cases, but they were completed through changing ROI and bolus tracking repeatedly. The average score of 3D-CE-MRA MIP image was 3.81?0.59. Conclusion iPass can provide the exact Tp and automatically control Td of 3D-CE-MRA. iPass is a useful procedure to improve the image quality and provide the specific scanning scheme for 3D-CE-MRA.

OBJECTIVETo obtain very end full-length cDNA of hepatitis C virus (HCV) 5' untranslated region (5' UTR), and analyse its primary and secondary structure.
METHODSBy reverse transcription-nested polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP), a patient infected with genotype 2a HCV was found. Total RNA isolated from the serum as template, the cDNA of 5' noncoding region was amplified using rapid amplification of cDNA ends methods (RACE), the fragments were recombined by A-T clone strategy, the recombinants were confirmed by RFLP and PCR then sequenced. Secondary structures were analysed by RNA draw.
RESULTSVery end full-length cDNA of 2a genotype HCV 5' UTR was obtained by RACE. In five clones obtained, three contained full-length 5' UTR cDNA, and A21G, G170A, T222C, T247C, C339T substitutions were found compared with HC-J6. he homologies with HCV-1,HC-J6,HC-C2, HC-J8 were 93.6%-94.4%, 92.1%-93.0%, 98.8%-99.7%, 96.2%-96.5%, respectively; however, the substitutions did not alter the secondary structure. Two out of five clones were deleted to have 53 and 144 bases at 5' terminus of HCV 5' UTR, respectively.
CONCLUSIONSRACE is rapid and effective, works well to obtain very end of virus genome. With that, Authors obtained full-length cDNA of genotype 2a of HCV 5' UTR. There are genes deleted at 5' terminus circulated in hepatitis C patients.

OBJECTIVETo find out the distributive features of some metabolic genes polymorphisms in Han population of south area of China.
METHODSStudy population was obtained from the controls of a community based case-control study, which included 290 blood relatives (inner control) and 404 non-blood relatives (outer control).
RESULTSFrequencies of CYP1A1, GSTM1 and GSTT1 polymorphisms had no significant difference among confounding factors, such as sex, living areas, stomach cancer family history and history of tobacco smoking etc. Some controls showed significant difference in age group and alcohol drinking which would be adjusted in analysis of the relationship between polymorphisms and cancers. CYP1A1 Ile/Val and Val/Val genotypes were 33.43% and 5.62% respectively, which were similar to other results from Chinese and Japanese, but higher than those from Caucasians in American, Europe and African-Americans. GSTM1 null allele frequency was 53.48% in our population, which showed difference even among Chinese in different areas. GSTT1 null allele frequency was 45.78%, which was significantly higher than that in Caucasians and African-American.
CONCLUSIONThe frequencies of CYP1A1 Ile/Val, Val/Val and GSTT1 null in Han population in south area of China are significantly higher than those in other races, while the ethnic difference of frequency of GSTM1 null is less.

OBJECTIVETo study the relationship between polymorphism of inducible Nitric Oxide Synthase (iNOS) gene and the susceptibility of intestinal type stomach cancer and stomach cardia cancer in Chinese people.
METHODSA community-based case-control study was designed. Ninety-three intestinal type of stomach cancer and 50 stomach cardia cancer patients with endoscopy and pathology diagnosis were identified as cases. Two hundred and forty-six controls served as controls.
RESULTSC-->T polymorphism was found in exon 16 of iNOS gene, which changed the coding amino acid from serine to leucine, and formed a recognition site identified by Tsp 509 I restriction enzyme (we called it C-->T polymorphism). The T allele gene frequency in the control group was 13.21%. No statistically significant difference was found between C-->T polymorphism alone and the increased susceptibility to intestinal stomach cancer or stomach cardia cancer. A significant type 2 multiplicative interaction was found in increasing both the risk of intestinal stomach cancer and stomach cardia cancer when both C-->T polymorphism and tobacco smoking exposure existed. An additive interaction model, which showed statistically significant difference, was found to increase only the risk of stomach cardia cancer when CagA antibody shared negative but C-->T polymorphism occurred.
CONCLUSIONC-->T polymorphism of iNOS gene was considered as one of the possible susceptible genes, which specifically increased the risk of tobacco-related but CagA negative types of intestinal stomach cancer and stomach cardia cancer.

Chinese Journal of Surgery 2024;62(9):847-855
Objective:To investigates the clinical efficacy of the trabecular metal acetabular revision system (TMARS) in one-stage reconstruction of acetabular deficiencies associated with periprosthetic joint infection (PJI).Methods:This is a retrospective case series study, including the data of 59 patients with PJI underwent acetabular defect reconstruction by TMARS during one-stage revisions in the Department of Orthopaedics, the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from January 2013 to December 2021. There were 32 males and 27 females, aged (59.5±14.6) years (range: 26 to 84 years). Among them, 29 cases used tantalum cups, 13 cases used tantalum cups and tantalum reinforcing blocks, 9 cases used cup-cage, and 8 cases used multi-cup reconstruction techniques. The surgery procedure, Harris Hip score (HHS), recovery of the hip rotation center, implant survival rate, postoperative reinfection rate, and complications were recorded. Data were compared using the Wilcoxon rank-sum test. Results:All of the 59 patients underwent the operations successfully. Operation time was (188.9±48.4) minutes (range: 110 to 340 minutes), and intraoperative bleeding volume was ( M(IQR)) 1 000(400)ml (range: 600 to 1 800 ml). After a postoperative follow-up of 5.1 (2.6) years (range: 2.0 to 10.5 years), the prosthesis survival rate was 94.9% (56/59). Recurrence of infection occurred in 3 cases (5.1%), aseptic loosening in 1case(1.7%), and hip dislocation in 4 cases (6.8%). At the last follow-up, HHS improved significantly(84 (12) vs. 44 (9), Z=-6.671, P<0.01), and the center of rotation of the hips were recovered in all cases. Conclusions:In one-stage revision surgeries aimed at reconstructing acetabular defects, utilizing the TMARS can provide stable initial fixation, restore a more natural center of rotation, significantly enhance early postoperative hip joint function, and reduce the likelihood of infection recurrence. This approach stands as a reliable choice for addressing acetabular defects during revision surgeries for infected hip joints.
