Phlegm syndrome, as the main syndrome of coronary heart diseases, not only its clinical signs and symptoms are clear, but also related with gene polymorphism, plasma metabolomics, genomics protein metabolism and urine metabolomics indicators, especially the close connection between serum lipids and phlegm syndrome in coronary heart diseases. The further research on the connection can be used as the references for the syndrome diagnosis and clinical treatment guidance, and provide solid foundation for TCM syndromes toward internationalization. This article pointed out that the treatment of coronary heart diseases should retain Chinese characteristics, focus on the basis of the phlegm syndrome, and pay attention to control lipid levels, in order to improve the clinical efficacy, and look forward to making progress in in-depth study on efficacy evaluation system of phlegm syndrome in coronary heart diseases.

ObjectiveTo explore the effect of age on clinical outcomes of patients with massive infarction after decompressive craniectomy.MethodsClinical data of 103-sufferers,who have been operated by decompressive craniectomy in our hospital from January 1999 to January 2010 were summarized.Based on age, these data are divided into the research group( ≥60 years old, number =48) and the control group( < 60 years old, number =55 ).Then two groups were studied and discussed by mortality, the ratio of postoperative complications and cases of preoperative comorbidities.ResultsComparing with the control group,it was evident that patients of the research group had higher mortality and ratio of postoperative complications, and moat of them suffered from preoperative manifold comorbidities ( x2 =11.097,24.915,14.404,all P < 0.01 ).Besides, the percentage of patients with good prognosis was significantly lower( x2 =9.821,P < 0.01 ).ConclusionPostoperative clinical outcomes of aged patients with the massive infarction were affected by preoperative manifold comorbidities and postoperative complications. However, younger patients could correspondingly achieve the preferable treatment effect after surgery.Hence, age should possess an imporrant impact for clinical outcomes of patients with massive cerebral infarction after decompressive craniectomy.

Objective: To establish an efficient animal model for the study of explosive injury in maxillofacial region. Methods: The detonator, steel spheres as fragments simulants shot by smooth-bore barrel and a synchronizer were used to define the wound model in the maxillofacial region of 18 dogs. The whole system was triggered when shooting. Wounding parameters and the changes of targets after explosion were observed and recorded. Results: The overpressure of blast wave decreased exponentially according to the distance from explosive. After injury, the local damage of dogs was serious and extensive compounded with the damages in heart, lung and brain. The injury was aggravated with the increasing of over pressure and energy absorption. Conclusion: The new wound model can be used for the study of explosive injury in maxillofacial region that is characterized by serious tissue damage and multi-etiology.

Objective To test the degree of acceptance and understanding of the entries for patient reported outcomes of stagnation of qi and blood; To further optimize and modify the entries. Methods A small sample pre-survey and group interviews were used to get the feedback information abut entries of patients, then the panel discussed to modify entries according to the data information. Results After a small sample pre-survey and group interviews, 11 items for modification were obtained, including the rejection in physical pain, belching and so on. Through further optimization and modification, the entries for patient reported outcomes of stagnation of qi and blood covered 41 entries in physiological domain, 11 entries in psychological domain, 1 entry in independent domain, and 8 entries in social domain. Conclusion The core part of the entries for patient reported outcomes of stagnation of qi and blood was formed, which comprehensively reflects the connotation of stagnation syndrome of qi and blood.

Objective To explore the key way of DUB (dysfunctional uterine bleeding) by traditional and western medicine. Method Analyse the traditional medicine's unique understanding of DUB, the symptoms of DUB and the function of Chinese traditional medicine on DUB. And sum up the modern molecular pathology of DUB. Result Chinese traditional medicine has some regulations in curing DUB. And given the modern molecular biology technique, it maybe play an important part in researching the essential of the syndrome of DUB and the function regulation of Chinese traditional medicine. Conclusion DUB, which is an important disease that is in the person of “menstruation adjustment”, “blooding disease”in traditional Chinese gynecology, must be studied systematically first, so as to improve the combination of traditional medicine and western medicine in gynecology.

Objective To explore the molecular mechanism of elevating placental blood supply by the component from Mongolian Milkurtch and red sage Root. Method Abstract the effective components from Mongolian Milkurtch and red sage Root, apply L-Arginine methy1 ester (L-NAME) to make NO production blocking model, use ELISA to check IL-10 in plasma of 18 d pragant rats, and FISH to check the expression of matricial metal protease-9 (MMP-9) mRNA. Results The plasma level of IL-10 of model group was lower than that of blank group (P 0.05). Conclusion By interving the relationship between IL-10 and MMP-9, the components of Mongolian milkvetch root and red sage root compound may affect the shift and invadation of deciduas, so as to prevent fleet embedding, help building the circulation between mother and embryo, and keep the placental blood supply.

Objective: To study the difference between the facial nerve injury by gun-shot and that by blast. Methods: 40 adult dogs were divided into 2 groups, with 20 dogs in each. In the blast group, the impact wave was simulated by detonator blast in the distance of 10 cm over the dog's masseter. At the same time,a steel ball was projected to the dog's face by a rifle to imitate segments in blast. In the gun-shot group, only the steel ball was used. Then the facial nerve was taken at the time of immediateness, 6 hours, 1 day, 3 days and 7 days following the injury for HE or immunocytochemical staining. And the facial nerve conduction velocity was examined 6 hours, 3 days and 7 days after injury. Results: The facial nerve edema was found in both groups just after injury. There was scattering hemorrhage and little hematoma below the spineurium in the gun-shot wound, as well as the diffusing bleeding and larger hematoma in blast wound. In the blast group, the severe edema could be found by light microscope in the whole extracranial facial nerve. Axonal fragments, infiltrating imflammatory cells and few neurofilament protein NF positive axons were observed. In the gun-shot group, only scattering damage was found within 2 cm from the wound track. Conclusion: The facial nerve injury by gun-shot bacomes less severe with the increase of distance from the wound track, but the blast injury is wider and more severe.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and toxicity of Taxol-based chemotherapy in patients with advanced gastric cancer. Methods Thirty-one patients with advanced gastric cancer were treated with two kinds of Taxol-based chemotherapy schedule. The treatment schedule were composed of paclitaxel and fluorouracil(TF) or cisplatin(TP). The patients who had had chemotherapy with fluorouracil were arranged to TP group, others to TF group. A treatment cycle lasted 21 days. The efficacy was evaluated after two cycles of the chemotherapy. Results total efficiency rate of two groups was 45.2 %; the efficiency rate of TF was 47.4 %; the rate of TP was 41.7 %; CBR was 80.6 %. The main side effect of toxicity were neutropenia and nausea as well as vomiting. Conclusion Taxol-based combination chemotherapy is a high response protocol with mild toxicity. TP schedule has a high efficiency for advanced gastric cancer.
