Objective To investigate the effect of plateau training on military operation ability ,evaluate the real situa-tion of combat forces on the plateau , and to provide data for effectively improving the combat effectiveness of the army stationed on the plateau .Methods According to the standards , the levels of high altitude acclimatization , physical work capacity (VO2max, PWC170) and mental work capacity (digit span, digit symbol, pursuit aiming and visual reaction time) were measured to assess the military operation ability of plateau training troops , including troops that entered the plateau from the plain(plateau-entering troops), troops stationed on the plateau (plateau troops) and troops stationed in the plain ( plain troops ) .Results The troops on the plateau all reached basic acclimatization .The aerobic capacities of these three types of troops were of the standard medium level , and the maximum oxygen uptake ( VO2max ) of the plain troops was greater than that of that of plateau-entering troops(P<0.01), and the VO2max of the plateau troops was greater than that of plateau-entering troops(P<0.01).Compared with the plain troops, the VO2 max and PWC170 of the plateau-entering troops decreased by 25.7%and 27.7%respectively.There was no significant difference in the digit span , digit symbol, pursuit aiming between these 3 kinds of troops , but the visual response of the plateau-entering troops was prolonged ( P<0.01), while the pursuit aiming of the plateau troops was lower than that of the plateau-entering troops(P <0.05). Conclusion Acclimatization-promoting measures and plateau training can contribute to high altitude acclimatization formation, but cannot overcome the objective adverse effects of the plateau on physical fitness .Two months of plateau training fails to improve physical fitness. Therefore, special attention should be paid to the research on scientific and effective measures to improve physical fitness on the plateau .

Objective:To evaluate the clinical curative effect of Shenqi-Gushen Decoction on patients with chronic renal failure (CRF) of qi-yin deficiency syndrome. Methods:A total of 82 patients with CRF meeting inclusion criteria in the hospital were enrolled between June 2018 and January 2021. According to random number table method, they were divided into control group and observation group, 41 in each group. The control group was treated with routine western medicine, while the observation group was treated with Shenqi-Gushen Decoction on basis of control group. All were treated for 2 months. Before and after treatment, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) symptoms were scored. The serum creatinine (SCr) and blood urea nitrogen (BUN) were detected by full-automatic biochemical analyzer. The levels of IL-6, TNF-α and hypersensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) were detected by ELISA. The levels of hemoglobin (Hb), serum albumin (Alb) and prealbumin (PA) were detected by immune scatter turbidity. And clinical curative effect was evaluated. Results:The total response rate [80.5% (33/41) vs. 46.3% (19/41); χ2=5.861, P=0.015] in the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group. After treatment, scores of TCM symptoms in observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group ( t=23.468, P<0.01), levels of serum SCr [(421.19 ± 43.82) μmol/L vs. (488.71 ± 48.39) μmol/L, t=6.623] and BUN [(19.54 ± 1.26) mmol/L vs. (24.12 ± 2.42) mmol/L, t=10.749] were significantly lower than those in the control group ( P<0.01), and eGFR [(47.71 ± 4.68) ml/min vs. (42.51 ± 4.55) ml/min, t=5.101] was significantly higher than that of control group ( P<0.01). After treatment, levels of serum IL-6, TNF-α and hs-CRP in observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group ( t=3.412, 3.714, 2.466, P<0.01 or P<0.05), while levels of Hb, Alb and PA were significantly higher than those in the control group ( t=4.462, 5.807, 2.256, P<0.01 or P<0.05). Conclusion:Shenqi-Gushen Decoction combined with routine western medicine can improve clinical syndromes, renal function, micro-inflammation response, nutrition status and curative effect in patients with CRF of qi-yin deficiency syndrome.
4.Effect of Jiangu granule on the expression of AQP3 in articular cartilage of rats with knee osteoarthritis
Journal of Chinese Physician 2018;20(2):200-203
Objective To investigate the effect and significance of Jiangu granule on the expression of aquaporin 3 (AQP3) in articular cartilage of knee osteoarthritis (OA) rats. Methods Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were randomly divided into sham operation group, model group, and Jiangu granule treatment group. The treatment group was divided into Jiangu granule high dose, medium dose, and low dose groups, with 12 rats in each group. The osteoarthritis model was made by injecting 4% papain and 0.03 mol/L Lcysteine mixture into the knee joint.Sham-operated group and model group received normal feeding every day.Treatment group (high, medium, and low dose groups), the next day after the completion of the mod el, were given different dose Jiangu granule by gavage twice a day for 4 weeks. After treatment, the ratswere executed uniformly, using general optical microscope and the pathological section of histology to observe the articular cartilage damage. The expression of AQP3 in articular cartilage of rats was detected by real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and Western blot. Results The articular cartilage destruction of Jiangu granule treatment group was significantly less than that of the model group (P < 0.05).The mRNA and protein expression levels of AQP3 in model group was significantly higher than that in the sham operation group (P < 0.05).OA rats with Jiangu granule after 4 weeks treatment, the mRNA and protein expression levels of AQP3 in articular cartilage were decreased significantly.Jiangu granule in each sub group relative to the model group had statistical significance (P < 0.05), and the high dose group was decreased significantly. Conclusions Jiangu granule can reduce the expressions of AQP3 in OA articular cartilage of rats and alleviate the swelling of joints, which may have protective effects on articular cartilage.
