Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 1992;0(09):-
Clinical observation demonstrated that the syndromes in Qi- stagnation Blood - stasis and Qi- deficiency Blood- stasis were characterized by manifestations in the face, tongue, nail and pulse. In addition to the changes of increase in C/HS, h4/hl, RT, stagnation aggregation of RBC in microcirculation, sluggish flowing which were common to both disorders, exams of facial hemotachogram microcirculation of the tongue and, nails, sphygmobologram and cardiac vascular functions revealed that, in the patient of Qi -stagnation Blood - stasis. HD, /[ + ], h3/n, w/twere all markedly increased with spasm of capillary loops, lowered AC flocculent blood flowing and other abnormalities of peripheral vessels, suggesting that normal cardiac output and high peripheral resistance were the pathophysiological features of Qi- stagnation Blood -stasis, while most of the patients with Qi - deficiencyBlood--stasis revealed HS, HS/. [t4-t1]/t, t1/tand marked lowering of 4 parameters (Sr, Co, SI, CD of hypofunction of the heart, short capillary loops with blurring, poor filling, poor perfusion of blood, suggesting that low cardiac pumping and low cardiac output were the pathophysiological characteristics of Qi - deficiency Blood - stasis syndrome.

AIM: To explore the effects of sitai tablet on blood pressure, blood lipid, blood sugar and insulin of rats with insulin resistance syndrome(IRS).METHODS: A total of 40 male clean SD rats were divided into normal control group, model group, sitai group and captopril group by randomized block design. The rats were fed with high-fat high sugar diet for 8 weeks to induce IRS. Then, sitai tablets were given to rats with IRS to observe the influence of sitai tablet on blood pressure, blood sugar, blood lipid, insulin levels and insulin sensitivity index(ISI) of them.RESULTS: The systolic pressure reduced from ( 158 ± 8), ( 157 ± 7) mm Hg before treatment to (128 ± 4), (110 ± 2)mm Hg after treatment in sitai group and captoril group respectively. There was also significant difference on systolic pressure of between sitai group, captopril group and model group [ ( 165 ± 6) mm Hg] ( t = 11.86 - 28.99, P < 0.01 ). In sitai group, the total cholesterol (TC), triacylycerol (TG)decreased clearly than those in model group( t = 44.27, 9. 14, P < 0.01 ), but high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) increased( t = 703, P < 0. 01 ) . There were increased fasting insulin(FINS) and decreased ISI in model group. There was significant difference on these indes between model group and normal control group( t= 7.14, 9.35, P < 0.01 ) . The insulin resistance was evident so that the model was successfully established. The fasting blood sugar and FINS all reduced when comparing it between sitai group, captopsil group with model group, there was significant difference( t = 11.95, 6.71, P < 0.01). When comparing the fasting blood sugar in captoril group and sitai group, there was also difference( t = 8.33, P < 0.01 ) . The ISI all increased in sitai group and captoril group, there was difference between them and model group (t=9.82,9.35, P <0.01).CONCLUSION: Sitai tablet can remarkably reduce the blood pressure, blood sugar and blood fat, and increase the sensibility of insulin so that it can improve the general effects of IRS.

Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 1992;0(11):-
To study the relationship between the different pulse conditions and photoplethymograms, the photoplethysmogram of 432 subjects, including normal pulse condition and 10 commonly - seen abnormal pulse, was examined at Cun - kou area with a BC - 4 quantitative photoplethysmograph. Meanwhile hemodynamic parameters were analysed. As compared with the normal pulse, photoplethysmograms of different pathological pulse conditions at Cun - kou area showed their specifical parameters and the changes of hemodynamic parameters reflected features of cardiovascular pathophysiology formed by different pulse conditions. It suggests that photoplethysmograms at the Cun -kou area can supply objective basis for clinical diagnosis of different pulse conditions.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(05):-
Objective To observe the effect of Yinchenwulin(YCWL) powder on the c-myc rnRNA expression in vascular smooth muscle cell (VSMC) of atherosclerosis(AS) rats. Methods 70 Wistar rats were randomly divided into four groups: normal, model, Gypenosides treatment and YCWL powder treatment groups. AS models of rats were set up by feeding with high fat diet for one month. One month after treatment the level of serum lipid and blood rheology were measured, the phathological change of aorta was observed by HE staining, the ultrastructure change of aorta was observed by transmission electronic microscope, and c-myc mRNA expression in VSMC was detected by RT-PCR. Results Compared with Gypenosides treatment, YCWL powder could obviously decreased the levels of serum TC,TG and LDL, increase serum HDL level, reduce plasma viscosity, whole blood mid-cut,hematocrit and platelet adhesion rate, maintain aorta tissue structure, and down-regulate c-myc mRNA expression. Conclusion YCWL powder has therapeutic effect for atherosclerosis by regulating c-myc mRNA expression.

This study was aimed to find out the relationship between the serum total cholesterol ( TC ) and coronary heart disease ( CHD ) of phlegm and blood stasis syndrome . Meta -analysis was used on the comprehensive analysis of ten research literatures on TC content of CHD patients with phlegm-turbid syndrome, blood-stasis syndrome and normal control . The results showed that the content of TC was 0.99-2.426 times h igher standard deviation in the blood-stasis syndrome patients than in the normal control, Totalcombined = 0.71. And the 95% confidence intervals of Totalcombined was 0.16-1.25. And the content of TC was 1.019-3.761 times higher standard deviation in the phlegm-turbid syndrome than in the normal control, Totalcombined= 1 . 05 . And the 95% confidence intervals of Totalcombined was 0 . 43-1 . 68 . It was concluded that there were significant variations of TC content in CHD patients with blood-stasis and phlegm-turbid syndrome compared to normal control . Therefore , abnormal changes of TC content can be used as one of the objective CHD diagnostic criteria of phlegm and blood stasis syndrome .
