Objective To explore the clinical value of combined detection of CA15-3, TSGF, OPN and CA125 in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. Methods The serum specimens from 187 patients with breast cancer (cancer group) were collected, tumor markers CA15-3 and CA125 were detected with electrochemiluminescence method, TSGF was detected with chemocolorimetry, and OPN was detected with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Compared with 50 cases of patients with benign breast disease (control group), The relationship between these marker and clinical stage, recurrence and metastasis of breast cancer were analyzed. Results The serum levels of CA15-3, CA125, TSGF and OPN in cancer group were significantly higher than those in control group (P <0.05). Four markers in high clinical stage(Ⅲ and Ⅳ stage)[(83.21±28.67), (89.13±32.34), (278.66±137.23) U/ml and (97.4±11.7) ng/ml, respectively] were higher than those in low stage( Ⅰ and Ⅱ stage) [(60.03±19.35), (58.21±17.56), (155.79±113.11) U/ml and (77.5±10.81) ng/ml,respectively] (P <0.05), and those in lymphnode metastasis patients and in recurrence patients were significantly higher than those in corresponding groups (P <0.05). The sensitivity and specificity of the combined detection of four tumor markers were 96.3 % (180/187) and 80.0 % (40/50), respectively. The average time of combined detection of serum tumor markers was 2 months ahead of the mammographic features in the recurrence patients with breast cancer. Conclusion The dynamic combined detection of CA15-3, TSGF, OPN and CA125 are better markers for monitoring recurrence and metastasis of breast cancer, which are benefit to early diagnosis and interference.

Objectives To investigate the pathogenic mechanism of herpes simplex encephalitis (HSE) and the mecha-nism of action of dexamethasone and acyclovir. Methods 102 male mice were randomly assigned to normal control group, HSV-1 infection group, acyclovir-treated group and combination-treated group. The model of HSE was established by in-tracranial injection of HSV-1 in mice except normal controls. One day after intracranial injection, mice in acyclovir-treated group and combination-treated group were intragastrically administrated with acyclovir, and mice in normal control group and HSV-1 infection group were intragastrically administrated with normal saline. Three days after intracranial injection, mice in combination-treated group were intraperitoneally injected with dexamethasone and mice in other groups were in-traperitoneally injected with normal saline. The neurological injury score and the expressions of IL-2 and IL-10 of the mice brain tissues in each group were compared at 3, 6 and 9 days after model establishment. Results The survival rate of mice was lowest in HSV-1 infection group and highest in combination-treated group (P<0.05). The neurological injury scores at 3, 6 and 9 days were highest in HSV-1 infection group and lowest in the combination-treated group (P<0.05). The changes in brain tissue pathology and HE staining were closely corresponded to the neurological injury scores. At 3, 6 and 9 days, the expression of IL-2 was increased at first and then decreased, but the expression of IL-10 was gradually increased. The expressions of IL-2 and IL-10 were highest in HSV-1 infection group and lowest in combination-treated group. And differ-ences were significant among all groups at each time point (P<0.05) except between combination-treated group and normal control group (P>0.05). Conclusions In comparison with acyclovir monotherapy, combined treatment with dexamethasone and acyclovir for HSE can reduce the expression of IL-2 and IL-10, relieve the clinical symptoms, and increase the survival rate.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2012;29(3):407-410
Haptic feedback plays a significant role in minimally invasive robotic surgery (MIRS). A major deficiency of the current MIRS is the lack of haptic perception for the surgeon, including the commercially available robot da Vinci surgical system. In this paper, a dynamics model of a haptic robot is established based on Newton-Euler method. Because it took some period of time in exact dynamics solution, we used a digital PID arithmetic dependent on robot dynamics to ensure real-time bilateral control, and it could improve tracking precision and real-time control efficiency. To prove the proposed method, an experimental system in which two Novint Falcon haptic devices acting as master-slave system has been developed. Simulations and experiments showed proposed methods could give instrument force feedbacks to operator, and bilateral control strategy is an effective method to master-slave MIRS. The proposed methods could be used to tele-robotic system.

Chinese Journal of Medical Genetics 2016;33(3):378-382
OBJECTIVETo assess the association of extracellular superoxide dismutase (EC-SOD) gene methylation with cerebral infarction.
METHODSEighty-three patients with cerebral infarction and 94 healthy controls were enrolled. Based on cerebral MR findings, the size of infarction, extent of intracranial atherosclerosis, the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) score, and Barthel index were calculated. Methylation-specific PCR was used to analyze the methylation status of the EC-SOD gene in peripheral blood samples and its correlation with cerebral infarction.
RESULTSThe rate of EC-SOD gene promoter region methylation of the cerebral infarction group was lower than that of the control group (30.1% vs. 53.2%, P < 0.05). Patients with larger area of cerebral infarction (>4 cm in diameter) showed a lower methylation rate than those with a smaller cerebral infarction (0 vs. 39.1%, P < 0.05). Based on their cerebral MRA, 57 patients were divided into none, mild, moderate, and severe cerebral arteriosclerosis groups. The rate of EC-SOD gene methylation of the four groups showed a downward trend (at 45.5%, 42.9%, 23.8%, and 14.3%, respectively), though no statistical significance was found (P > 0.05). For the cerebral infarction group, those with higher rate of methylation had lower NIHSS scores (P < 0.05) but insignificantly higher Barthel index (P > 0.05).
CONCLUSIONThe EC-SOD methylation frequency of case group was lower than the control group. The methylation status is associated with the size of cerebral infarction, degree of cerebral arteriosclerosis and severity of neurological impairment.

OBJECTIVETo analyze the epidemiological characteristics of hospitalized children with burn injuries in Fujian Medical University Union Hospital, so as to provide evidence to complete an adequate, timely, and effective prevention and treatment system of children with burn injuries.
METHODSMedical records of children with burn injuries, aged 14 and under, hospitalized in the Department of Burns from July 2012 to June 2015 were collected. Data of gender and age, location and cause of injury, time of injury, state of injury, admission time after injury, first aid, length of hospital stay, and treatment and so on were recorded. They were divided into 4 age brackets: less than or equal to 1 year old, more than 1 year old and less than or equal to 3 years old, more than 3 years old and less than or equal to 7 years old, more than 7 years old and less than or equal to 14 years old, then gender and cause of injury of children in the 4 age brackets were analyzed. Admission months of the children were divided into spring (March to May), summer (June to August), autumn (September to November) and winter (December to February of the following year), and then the cause of injury of children in each season was analyzed. Severities of male and female children, length of hospital stay of children with different causes of injury were analyzed. Data were processed with chi-square test, Wilcoxon rank-sum test.
RESULTSOut of 2 608 inpatients with burn injuries, 1 407 children with burn injuries, aged 14 and under, accounting for 53.9%, were admitted in the recent 3 years. The ratio of male to female was 1.6 ∶1.0. Children more than 1 year old and less than or equal to 3 years old ranked the largest number (68.3%, 961/1 407) in the 4 age brackets. There was statistically significant difference in constituent ratios of gender of children among the 4 age brackets (χ(2)=11.00, P=0.012). One thousand three hundred and seventy-two children were burned indoors (97.5%), while 35 children were burned outdoors (2.5%). Scalding with hot fluids was the most common cause of burn (95.0%, 1 337/1 407). There was statistically significant difference in constituent ratios of injury cause of children among the 4 age brackets (χ(2)=107.23, P<0.01). There was statistically significant difference in constituent ratios of injury cause of children more than 7 years old and less than or equal to 14 years old compared with those of the other 3 age brackets (with χ(2) values from 12.88 to 119.85, P values below 0.01). Most burn accidents occurred between 17: 00-20: 59 (33.5%, 472/1 407). Burns were more likely to happen in April to October. July (10.4%, 146/1 407) and August (10.5%, 148/1 407) were the crest-time. Most of the children were burned in summer (35.3%, 496/1 407). There was statistically significant difference in the injury cause of children among each season (χ(2)=14.61, P=0.024). The burn degrees of male and female children were mainly mild or moderate, and there was no statistically significant difference in the severity (Z=-0.39, P>0.05). The trunk was the most involved anatomic site (61.1%, 859/1 407). Most of children were admitted to hospital within 2 hours post burn (79.7%, 1 121/1 407). Majority of children were taken off clothes as first aid on spot or did not receive any treatment. Most of the children were discharged within 2 weeks after admission (80.0%, 1 126/1 407). There was statistically significant difference in length of hospital stay of children with causes of hot liquid scald, flame burn, electric burn, high temperature solid burn, chemical burn (χ(2) =17.33, P=0.002). Most of the children were treated with non-surgical methods, and the majority of the children got better condition or totally recovered and then discharged.
CONCLUSIONSThe majority of hospitalized children with burn injuries in our unit are young boys in preschool period, who were burnt by hot fluid at the time of dinner and bathing at home during summer. So we should make more effort on popularization of prevention about burn.

Chinese Journal of Burns 2018;34(3):165-170
Objective:
To explore the pain experiences of adult burn patients so as to lay foundation for practical analgesic measures.
Methods:
Using phenomenological method in qualitative research, semi-structured interviews were conducted on 12 adult burn patients hospitalized in our burn units from May to November 2015, aiming at pain experiences from immediately after burns to 3 to 7 months after being discharged from hospital. Then the Colaizzi′s analysis method was applied to analyze, induce, and refine themes of interview data.
Results:
After analysis, pain experiences of adult burn patients were generalized into 6 themes: deep pain experiences, heavy psychological burden, limited daily life, poor assessment and treatment of pain, different attributions of pain, and different ways of coping of pain.
Conclusions
Burn pain brings harm to the patients′ physiology, mentality, and daily life. Nevertheless, pain processing modes of medical staff and patients themselves are the key factors affecting patients′ pain experiences. Therefore, according to the deficiency of current situation of pain management, the targeted analgesic intervention measures should be carried out from the perspectives of medical staff and patients.

Psychiatry Investigation 2024;21(3):219-229
Objective:
We used polysomnography (PSG) monitoring and neuropsychological scales to explore the characteristics of coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) patients diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in Wuhan, two years after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Methods:
A total of 42 patients in the Sleep Medicine Center were diagnosed with insomnia between December 2021 and May 2022; they were divided into the PTSD group (patients with PTSD diagnosed with insomnia after COVID-19 infection) and the non-PTSD group (patients with insomnia without PTSD). A healthy control group was simultaneously included.
Results:
The PTSD group was more significant than the non-PTSD group in partial manifestations of sleep disorders, neuropsychological clinical symptoms, and partial PSG data. Patients with different COVID-19 subtypes showed significant differences in the course of disease, sleep disorders, neuropsychological clinical symptoms, relevant scale scores, and PSG data analysis.
Conclusion
The emotional anxiety and depression of COVID-19 patients diagnosed with PTSD two years after the COVID-19 pandemic in Wuhan are more significant, and will not be self-alleviated with the passage of time. It is necessary to continue to pay attention to the PTSD symptoms and sleep psychology of COVID-19 infected patients, and take appropriate measures. Patients with severe and critical COVID-19 have more severe sleep and mental disorders, and there is a significant correlation between the duration of the disease and the severity of mental and mental disorders and sleep disorders after recovery.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2021;38(4):621-629
Surface electromyography (sEMG) is a weak signal which is non-stationary and non-periodic. The sEMG classification methods based on time domain and frequency domain features have low recognition rate and poor stability. Based on the modeling and analysis of sEMG energy kernel, this paper proposes a new method to recognize human gestures utilizing convolutional neural network (CNN) and phase portrait of sEMG energy kernel. Firstly, the matrix counting method is used to process the sEMG energy kernel phase portrait into a grayscale image. Secondly, the grayscale image is preprocessed by moving average method. Finally, CNN is used to recognize sEMG of gestures. Experiments on gesture sEMG signal data set show that the effectiveness of the recognition framework and the recognition method of CNN combined with the energy kernel phase portrait have obvious advantages in recognition accuracy and computational efficiency over the area extraction methods. The algorithm in this paper provides a new feasible method for sEMG signal modeling analysis and real-time identification.
