AlM: To analyze the correlation between tear film changes of allergic conjunctivitis and dry eye, then provide clinical references for better treatment.
METHODS: Fifty patients with allergic conjunctivitis were taken as the observation group, the control group was selected based on 1:1 case control theory, and we chose 50 health volunteers without ocular surface diseases, xerophthalmia and systematic diseases randomly, then fluorescein ( FL) staining, break-up time ( BUT) , Schirner l test ( SⅠt) , tear meniscus high ( TMH) and slit-lamp examinations were performed in the two groups.
RESULTS: ln the observation group, FL, BUT, Slt, TMH of right eyes and left eyes were statistically significant correlated ( P < 0. 05 ). FL and BUT were statistically significant between control group and observation group (P<0. 05). TMH and Slt has positive correlation, while FL and BUT has negative correlation and the differences were statistically significant (P<0. 05). CONCLUSlON: Due to inflammatory mediators participation, allergic conjunctivitis could lead to the stability changes of tear film which cause in dry eye. The stability changes of allergic conjunctivitis correlate to the damage degree of epithelium.

Objective To study core needle biopsy in diagnosis of palpable breast cancer. Methods Retrospectively analyze core needle biopsy in 200 cases of palpable breast cancer. We recorded the clinical and pathology data and used crosstable test to analyze the effect of maximal and minimal tumor size.and TNM stage on the results. Results The ratio of success was 97%. No significant difference was found among the groups of different maximal tumor size, minimal tumor size and TNM stage (P > 0.05 ). Conclusion ( 1 )For the diagnosis of the suspicious malignant palpable mass, core needle biopsy is effective, safe, microtraumatic and suitable to be used in different-class hospitals ; (2) The success of core needle biopsy for palpable breast cancer is correlated with dexterity of operator; (3)Biopsy channel should be in the range of operation and avoid of affecting sentinel lymphatic channels.

Mutual information(MI) is a tool of measuring the statistical dependence between two random variables. MI between two images, being considered as two random fields, can be calculated to determine the degree of information redundancy between the image intensities of corresponding pixels in both images. In this paper, we utilize the MI criterion to realize the generalized registration between two neighboring slices in a medical image sequence (CT, MR et al) and consider that they match with each other if the MI between them is maximal. Experimental results confirm performance of our algorithm.

BACKGROUND:Current research has shown that tumor necrosis factorαstimulated gene 6 (TSG-6) has anti-inflammatory effect, and the scar formation can be inhibited by local injection of TSG-6 protein at the early stage of trauma. However, the mechanism of this effect is stil unclear. OBJECTIVE:To construct the lentiviral expression vector and shRNA vector for human TSG-6, with stable overexpression, transfection and interference, and to explore the effect of TSG-6 on proliferation and apoptosis of keloid fibroblast cel lines. METHODS:Human keloid fibroblast cel s were isolated from the keloid’s tissue by enzyme digestion and identified by immunocytochemistry assay. Lentiviral vectors pLVX-puro-TSG-6 and pLVX-shRNA1-TSG-6 were constructed and transfected into human keloid fibroblast, exclusively. Expression levels of TSG-6 mRNA and protein were detected by RT-PCR and western blot assay. MTT assay and flow cytometry were used to estimate the cel proliferation and apoptosis in each group after transfection. In addition, expression of Bcl-2, p53 and active-caspase-3 were detected by western blot assay in each group. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1) Human keloid fibroblasts were separated successful y. Under the light microscope, cel s were spindle. Immunohistochemical staining for vimentin was performed in the fifth passage of cel s, with the positive rate of 100%. Cel s were negative for cytokeratin. (2) Recombinant lentiviral vectors and stably transfected cel lines were successful y established. TSG-6 gene expression was altered apparently. Compared with the control group, cel proliferation was delayed and apoptotic rate was noticeably increased in TSG-6 gene overexpression group. Cel proliferation increased and apoptotic rate decreased in the TSG-6 gene intervention group (P<0.05). (3) Western blot assay results demonstrated that Bcl-2 expression reduced, P53 and Active-caspase-3 expression significantly increased in the TSG-6 gene overexpression group (P<0.05). (4) These finding showed that TSG-6 could inhibit proliferation and induce apoptosis in keloid fibroblasts. Its mechanism may be associated with the down-regulation of Bcl-2 protein expression, up-regulation of P53 protein expression and increased Caspase-3 activity.
