Objective To observe the effects of estrogen on the behavior and the norepinephrine level in the habenular nucleus of depressive rats, and explore the mechanism of estrogen involved in the process of antidepression. Methods Thirty rats were chosen from forty male Wistar rats, which had the similar scores in open field test. The depression models of rats were established by chronic mild stress.Open field test and forced swimming test were performed to detect the behavioral changes between rats with ovary excision(OVX) and with estradiol-treated ovary excision(OV/ER).High performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) was used to observe the changes of norepinephrine level in habenular nucleus. Results After 21-day chronic mild stress, the open field test showed that the vertical motion and cross motion in OV/ER group were increased(P

Objective To investigate the changes of coagulation and fibrinolysis systems in patients with solid cancer. Determine the mechanism of thrombosis formation in solid cancer and the the metastasis mechanism of solid cancer. Methods To measure plasma concentrations of TF,TFPI,t-PA,u-PA,PAI-1 by ELISA and test protein C activity(PC:A)by chromogenic substrate assay. Results Plasma concentrations of TF,TFPI,u-PA,PAI-1 were all higher in solid cancer patients than normal control and higher in metasta- sized team than non-metastasized team.In the dead team,u-PA and PAI-1 were higher while TFPI was low- er. t-PA was higher in cancer patients combined with venous thromboembolism while protein C activity was lower. Conclusion Disorders of coagulation and fibrinolysis system are related to the thrombosis formation in solid cancer.Coagulation and fibrinolysis factors take part in the metastasis progress of solid cancer. High concentration of u-PA and PAI-1 or low concentration of TFPI are considered to be related with poor outcome.

Objective To observe the effect of chronic variable stress on the forced swimming test of rats, and investigate its preliminary mechanism. Methods First a mark was given to each Wistar rat by forced swimming test.12 Wistar rats which had similar scores were selected and divided into control group and model group averagely. The behavior changes of rats were induced in the forced swimming test by chronic stress and the plasma cortisol level was analyzed through radioimmunoassay(RIA) methods. The changes of hippocampus CA3 structure were observed with microscope. Results Compared with control group, chronic variable stress increased immobility time, reduced climbing time evidently and enhanced the weight of adrenal gland and the level of plasma cortisol(P

Objective:To observe the change of BDNF level expression in experimental in hippocampal and habenular nucles in experimental depression rats. Methods:The depression model of rats was established by chronic unpredictable mild stress. Openfield test was performed to detect the behavior of rats. Immunohistochemistry was used to observe the changes of BDNF level. Results:Compared to the control group, the number of depressed animals was much less than that of normal animals. Conclusion:The level of BDNF decrease significantly in experimental depressive model of rats.

AIM: Test the character of Electrooculogram (EOG) in normal subjects so as to obtain reference values.METHODS: By using Vision Monitor visual evoked response imaging system, the EOG was recorded on 60 normal subjects (73 eyes).RESULTS: EOG under the condition of normal pupil was recorded in normal subjects according to ISCVE standard. The dark trough potential was (701.8±265.1)μV, the light peak potential was (1255.0±447.7)μV, the Arden ratio (light peak /dark trough ratio)was 180%±21%.CONCLUSION: Our study reflected the spatial characteristics of electrooculogram in normal subjects, provided reliable normal reference values for clinical research.

Objective To study prospectively the likelihood and the affecting factors of endometrial cell dissemination into the peritoneal cavity during hysteroseopie procedures. Methods A total of 121 patients with benign endometrial pathology underwent hysteroscopy combined with laparoseopy. All the patients had pelvic washings performed just before and after the procedure of hysteroscopy. We collected the peritoneal washings and analyzed the peritoneal cytology changes in both groups pre-and post-hysteroscopy, as well as the dissemination rate related to the time of hysteroscopy, the intrauterine distention pressure, the volume of distention media, and the feature of endometrial conditions. Results The ratio of positive endometrial cells in the peritoneal washings of post-hysteroscopy group was 51.2%(62/121),which was significantly higher than pre-hysteroscopy group,38.0%(46/121)(P0.05).Conclusions Hysteroseopic procedures may have a risk of disseminating the endometrial cells into peritoneal cavity.Under a certain uterine distention pressure, the rate of dissemination is correlated with hysteroscopie duration.

Chinese Journal of Behavioral Medicine and Brain Science 2012;21(7):577-579
ObjectiveTo explore the characteristics of the cognitive changes in patients with lacunar infarction(LI) after carotid artery stenting(CAS).MethodsNeuropsychological tests were conducted in 43 patients with LI and carotid stenosis before and 1 month,6 months,12 months after CAS and the scores were compared with those of 41 healthy cases.ResultsCompared with control group,MMSE scores ( 26.33 ± 1.94),memory and executive function in therapy group lowered obviously. There was statistical difference (P< 0.05 or P< 0.01 ).Compared with before CAS,MMSE scores of 1 month (27.17±2.15),6 months (27.17 ±2.15),12 months (28.15±1.98) after CAS,memory and executive function in therapy group were all better obviously. There was statistical difference (P<0.05 or P<0.01).ConclusionIn acute stage of patients with LI (with in 1 week),most cognitive impairment was severe. Most cognition disorders was improved to normal level 12 months after CAS.The mechanism may be associated with the improvement of chronic cerebral insufficiency.

Chinese Journal of Preventive Medicine 2005;39(4):273-276
OBJECTIVETo make clear the burden of injury in residents living in countryside of Dongying, Shandong Province.
METHODSA retrospective questionnaire survey was conducted among 15,276 residents in 20 villages of Dongying Municipality of Shandong Province with a multiphase cluster randomly sampling on cases of injury from March 1, 2002 to February 28, 2003. The injury was decided with three principles which had been carried out through the nation. The standardized incidence and mortality rates were calculated on base of the population data of Shandong Province in 2000. The burden of injury was evaluated by incidence rate, mortality rate, years of potential life lost (YPLL) system, disability adjusted life year (DALY), direct and indirect economic costs, et al.
RESULTSTotally 902 were injured cases in which the crude incidence rate was 5.90%, and the standardized incidence rate was 5.93%. It was shown higher in men (7.79%) than in women (4.03%). The crude death rate was 12.438 per million. And the standardized death rate was 11.257 per million. 27 cases were crippled. The years, the working years and the valued years of the potential life lost were 24, 19.6 and 8.7 years respectively for each death case. Disability adjusted life years was 566.61 years. Direct economic cost for medical expenses of all cases was 816.3 thousand RMB Yuan and 200.1 thousand RMB Yuan for else costs. Indirect economic cost was 5,492.9 thousand RMB Yuan according to DALY.
CONCLUSIONInjury was common incidence in rural residents in Dongying which caused a heavy burden on them. Prevention and control of injuries would be enhanced.
